The Tarmac 2 Boot is the fusion of athletic shoe design and necessary motorcycle riding features. An emphasis on street sportbike-specific geometry, increased comfort, and ease of use sets the Tarmac 2 Boot apart from all motorcycle boots that have come before. A reinforced upper, steel shank, molded ankle plate, reinforced toe and heel box equip the Tarmac 2 Boot for duty. The sculpted bottom unit was specifically designed to work with sportbike rearsets and allow positioning of your foot for all-day riding comfort and performance. Add a pre-tensioned stealth lace system and overmolded breathable mesh and you are left with a shoe to take on both all-comers, and all-corners.

This product is good for large men.
Reveille did a great notifying me when the boot was shipped. The shoe arrived as scheduled. It fits well and is worth cost.

Great motorcycle shoe alternative for daily wear
Anthony gives a very detailed rundown of all the features/specs of these shoes in the video review, so I'll just leave my general impressions. I wear boots for a living, and these are some of the most comfortable and breathable out there. Icon has achieved the same that Oakley did for the troops with taking the sturdiness of a boot and blending it with the comfort of a sneaker.
These are a cross between a high-top sneaker and a short boot. Part of the sides are a thick mesh, which permits adequate ventilation without compromising the protection of your foot in an accident. They are heavier than a sneaker due to the steel shank, but lighter than a full boot by far. I walk several miles a day in these with ankle socks and wear them at work with nothing to complain about.
I read that they run narrow, so I bought a half-size up from what I normally wear in a shoe - they are still a little snug width wise, but not uncomfortably so. I wanted a pair of motorcycle shoes/boots that were slim and low-profile enough to not look clunky and odd with a nicer pair of jeans. These are perfect for those who would like a pair of boots with all the features and protection of a motorcycle boot plus the casual, non-motorcycle, style that can be worn with any pair of jeans in any setting.

Kind of a boot
These riding shoes are more like a toned down boot then a beefed up shoe.
There not the lightest, breathable thing in the world but the absolutely get the job done.
They are super low at the toes so shifting on a sport styled bike is no problem and they are build solid and sturdy.
They could be alittle more vented though. The vents on the side are fairly layered.
Over all they are great products and I suspect to keep these for a long while

I love the look...fits a little narrow.
Icon makes great motorcycle shoes...light and comfortable but still protective. I recommend them.

How would this shoe work with rainy/wet weather? or simply walking through a puddle.

i really like this shoe. im having troubles picking one out that i want to get and i was wondering since this seems to be all vents how it would work out in wet weather. it looks to me as if my foot would be soaked right away.

Answer:
Your foot will get soaked indeed. This technical sneaker will be great during hot/ humid days. If you wear this shoe during days with questionable weather, make sure to keep some waterproof boot covers under your cowl. You may want to consider the Firstgear Kili Lo WP Boots or the TCX Jupiter 2 Gore-Tex Boots would be a better choice for cloudy days.Products related to my answer

I have been stuck out in the conditions and for the most part these boots do a good job of keeping the water out.... I have put a layer of Mink oil commonly used on boots to repel water and additional grime and that may be helping out as well..... I have put two coats of mink oil on my boots as soon as I brought them home. Eventaully your socks will get soaked after a 20 minutes in a slight down pour but these boots do a good job of keeping your foot dry during inclement weather.Age: 35-44
