I think I found my favourite jeans, period Unpacking these jeans showed me a few things, the larger than usual waist strip and belt loops. The kevlar backing only covering the knee area, and the heavy denim. The button fly, in my opinion, is great. I was a little bit disappointed by the kevlar only being around the knees, but I guess Icon have their reasons. When I put them on (as soon as I got home, down to my skivvies and slipped these on in the living room), they are a bit tighter in the leg than my regular jeans and are a bit longer than my usual too, but fit really nicely, and over boots and in a riding position, shouldn't pose any problems. I'm still on the fence on just how effective they'll be in a drop, and I think I'll need a pair of more technical trousers if I think I'll be riding out on the parkways and expressways, but these will be great for tooling around town. I'm used to cheap Old Navy and Wrangler jeans, so was blown away by the quality of these jeans. Hopefully they'll last me a while and I don't have to test the protection of them! August 26, 2015
Great pants, but... Jeans fit great, feel great, and look great. Hopefully I'll never have to test the Kevlar, so who knows. My only gripe about these things is that instead of a zipper fly, they use 4 buttons. Not snap buttons, but normal buttons. I can only speak for myself, but I want to be able to put jeans on in under 30 seconds. These stupid buttons serve no additional purpose and it boggles my mind as to why Icon went with these buttons instead of the zipper. Other than that, the size was right and they are comfortable. Good denim This is a nice thick material witch is a plus but the front pockets are on the smaller side. Good fit after i had the bottoms tailored to my length. A big negative for me is the button fly just too much of a hassle for my liking. Besides the smaller pockets and button fly i like the jean. July 6, 2015
Never ride without them I love these pants! They look and feel great. Have the reinforcement where I wanted it. Not over the top with padding but didn't expect it to. They run small but not that small. I wear between a 30 and 32 in all my pants, dress pants a 32 spot on. I ordered a 34 and they are too big. I wear these usually over a pair of cargo shorts when going somewhere in the summer to take off or over sweats in cool weather. I will be ordering a pair of 32's as well. The length is perfect for my forward controls. June 16, 2015
Great for street I love these pants, in fact I'm wearing them right now. I fortunately have not yet tested them in a crash, and I know they wont be anywhere as good as leathers. But I feel better wearing them than regular jeans. You don't even notice the Kevlar in them once broken in. They seem to dry fairly quick when riding if you get caught in a quick rain storm. Poorly made and inconsistent sizing These jeans are not a great product. They fit very small (I normally wear a 38 and that's what I ordered, I ended up giving them to a friend who wears a 34) and aren't particularly well made. Certainly not worth $100 plus, if you crashed in these you would definitely feel it. I haven't had much luck with Icon as a brand; they seem to be more about style and image than quality and durability. I'll be staying away in future. June 18, 2014
Good brand, bad product. Just got these today and the jeans are just like another regular jeans, the video shows exactly what it is. I am very disappointed with these, just not what i was expecting from Icon. Great color, but not worthy $105 in my opinion. There is nothing that will make these worth the $105. I do not recommend these. I didn't get a chance to use them because is below 30 degrees here, but i would not be able to tell about the air flow, comfort etc. I would imagine they are good for the summer. You could get more protection for less $$$. Sorry Icon, you lost me with these. :( March 25, 2014
Fairly nice pants that give you a little bit more protection and peace of mind than regular denim. Aside from the aramid (kevlar) reinforced knees, these are basically just slightly beefier jeans than what you can buy down at the mall. Their main advantage is the cut and fitment is much better suited for a riding posture, and the knees include panels that are reinforced. Other than that, you wouldn't be able to tell that they are jeans intended for riding unless you saw the Icon name/logo. They do give a bit more peace of mind that just standard denim, but I'll go for something with a bit more kevlar reinforcement on my next purchase. September 30, 2013

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Steven M: The description makes them look good, I won't be doing much high speed riding, just learning the ropes around the city streets, but I remember getting knocked of my scooter as a kid in regular jeans and scraping my knee and leg.

The reviews seemed to back up the description, so I went with them.

J.D. P: I have the Icon Anthem denim pants. Which I love, but are too small for me now. This was the closest to that look and design. If they ever bring back the Anthem denim, I'd snatch those up in a heart beat. Mar 29, 2015
darrah K: Good value and i like the syle Sep 18, 2014
Jason T: Style, protection, reviews, Icon name (quality) Sep 10, 2014
Timothy R: I have another pair of Icon pants and they saved my legs once. They are a little baggy for my liking, so I chose these ones. May 5, 2014
FRANCK B: The pants looked good on the picture
But when i wear it on the bike the length is a bit short

A shopper asked: How weight for Icon Strongarm 2 Pants? Aug 14, 2013

Chris W: They feel pretty light to me. No armor, and a bit tighter in the crotch than I would have liked. They look like normal jeans, which is what I was going for at the time.

I've never owned any other jeans like this, so I have nothing to compare them to.

A shopper asked: Are these jeans pre-shrunk or should I account for some shrinkage in the wash? Aug 17, 2011

Brandon88: The pants didnt shrick alot when i washed them after i first got them. They seemed to fit the same after i washed them as they did prior to the wash. Oct 3, 2011

Chris K: You should account for some shrinkage, however, with the reinforcement, you won't see as much as a standard pair of jeans. Sep 27, 2011
