Perfect Fit, Substantial Leather This is my first vest. I ordered it Thrusday afternoon, and it arrived today, Friday, afternoon! BOO-YAH! I was apprehensive about fit--I'm 5'8", 160lbs, 44inch chest, 29" waist. I ordered the SM/MD. With just a t-shirt on, it fits perfectly with the straps sinched all the way tight. The length, for me is perfect. The drop down back goes to about the tops of my rear pockets, so I don't sit on the tail. The front raises up a bit for leaning forward, so the best doesn't bunch up. I've noticed the back-neck area pulls out some. Probably due to the back protector, or maybe by design to "scoop" air? I don't plan on wearing this over a jacket as it has a good amount of weight to it. My leather jacket is already pretty heavy. With this on top, I'd feel too weighed down. This purchase was my alternative to wearing a mesh riding jacket on hot summer rides. Pros: Thick, supple, and great feeling leather. Back protector seems sturdy. Zippers are smooth and engage easily. Cons: For the price, I would've liked a double zipper option and better quality pocket linings. Fit-wise--The velcro straps could use an additional 2-3" to tighten the vest even further for us non-beer-gut folks! Construction-wise--Also for the price, I would've liked to see full leather construction--the straps and side stretch panels are nylon and some type of spandex-cotton blend, respectively. The cross-draw pockets are "supposed" to be able to hold a small firearm. The mesh/netting of the pockets doesn't feel sturdy enough to hold a firearm safely. Their open weave also seems that it would catch sights or other parts of a gun if/when one would ever need to deploy a weapon! I would've liked to see leather and some type of sturdy/smooth liner that wasn't open mesh. Style-wise--a low mandarin collar would've been awesome, too. Safety-wise, reflective piping would've been a nice touch! Overall: Worth the price and I like that it's not stupid with logos and branding. I would recommend this product. April 17, 2015
best vest on the market I have wanted an ICON vest for a while i was just debateing about paying the money. But after buying a couple cheaper model I should have went with ICON to start because they are the best built and most stylish vest hands down. And buying it from Revzilla makes it stress free because they have the best customer service. April 6, 2015
Cool Vest Good overall vest. Plenty of room on front and back for patches. The neck portion is on the large side. Flannel shirt's collar underneith will flap in the wind. Also is a little on the high price side... September 29, 2014
Icon does it again! I was looking for a new vest to add my MC patches to. My main criteria was to have a stylish yet durable vest that the patches could be sewed onto without odd overlap stitching. I particularly like the proliferated leather; It smells great, it's smooth, seem stitching is strong, interior is quality, adjustable side straps and fits great. Some of Icon's products tend to run big. My old vest was a L/XL and this new one is a medium. It still fits over both my Icon leather and my Revit textile mesh. (It gives me that sealed and snug fit. (No pieces flapping in the wind or bulging gaps anywhere) Pros: Quality, not the run of the mill style, slot for spinal protection pad. (This helps cut down on wearing too much bulk.) The vest provides some spinal protection and is wearable either by itself or with a jacket. Cons: Price.(But you get what you pay for) I'm not sure how I feel about the pistol pockets yet. Solid Vest This is the best vest I have owned. Fits over a jacket. Easily adjustable for a fit over a t-shirt. The back protector lets the air flow down your back nicely too. Solid construction. May 30, 2014
its baggy, the back pops up a lot, no air flow the fit is way bigger than what i expected, also small-medium made me think it would be to small for me. while riding on highway it doesn't have a good air flow, and the wort part is that the collar sticks up and starts scratching my neck so i use a neck protector or a bandana in my neck to avoid the problem May 21, 2014
so sick this vest is like a fever, so sick it fits perfect for a skinny dude, im like 6'2 180 ... s/m is perfect. icon customer service is trash, so i hope i only deal with the revzilla ppl if i have too January 20, 2014
Solid, good quality vest. I bought this vest for my son for his birthday. He does not intend to wear it over a coat, so I bought the SM/MD size knowing from previous reviews that the vest is sized to fit over a jacket or coat. He is 6'1" and weighs around 190. I am the same height and weigh 215. The vest fit both of us very nicely over a shirt but was tight over a jacket. Needless to say the quality is very good as was expected for the price. My son loved it. December 9, 2013

A shopper asked: Is the inner vest pocket big enough, supportive enough, and comfortable enough for a full size CCW, lets say a 1911? Nov 17, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
David O: I have a 1911. I would not use the pocket for mine but I did not buy this vest for myself. I bought it for my son and I have not received any feedback from him yet regarding the vest. I will ask him when I see him in a couple of weeks. Feel free to email me at davidoroszmtg at yahoo dot com for feedback later. Dave Nov 17, 2014

F E: I personally don't sport one. But the inner liner is the same material as swim trunk liner. That mesh polyester. I wouldnt trust it. Id go with a vest that has pistol pockets. Most cruiser style vests have them. Nov 17, 2014

Matthew C: Is it big enough, yes. Supportive enough? Probably not. It's just a normal pocket with a zipper. I wouldn't trust it. Nov 18, 2014

A shopper asked: What is the difference between this vest and Icon Regulator Vest ? The design is a bit different, but thats all what i noticed. However there is price difference. Is there some extra protection? May 4, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
600rrCrasher: No extra protection. Same thing except it's stripped. No logos, emblems, etc. It's just straight black. As opposed to the 'stealth' or 'black' coloured Regulator has the word ICON across the chest. Sep 23, 2012

RevZilla: The only difference between the Icon Regulator Stripped Vest and the Icon Regulator Vest is aesthetics. The Stripped version has less Icon branding. May 14, 2012

A shopper asked: Hello mate I am 5'10" with a 46 inch chest what would be my best size?? Thanks karl Nov 23, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Jason L: I am currently 5'10 around 200 with about a 43 in chest. I ordered a large and had to return for it being too large, I went with the medium and I still have some room in the chest area. Hope this helps. Thanks! Jay Nov 23, 2014

A shopper asked: Does this come in just black or does it only have "stealth" black? Oct 21, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
RevZilla: Stealth Black IS just black. But Icon thought just black didn't sound metal enough, so they renamed it Stealth Black. Oct 22, 2012
