Icon Regulator Stripped Vest
I went a size smaller as recommended by everyone on here. I felt it was a touch small. I'm about 6'0 and 230lbs and tried the sm/md. I tried riding with the back protection in on a bike that had a backrest and it wasn't very comfortable. It kind of rides up high and the best will pull away from ur upper spine when seated leaving an awkward gap between your neck and the vest. But with that said I do like the vest w/o the back plate in and I feel it would probably fit great if I lost 20lbs which is in my plans.

Love it, fits way large!
I took the advise from other people on here who stated to order a size smaller. I'm 5'11, 230 lbs (bit of a bear gut) with 45" chest and usually buy size Large. I was very apprehensive to go with the Small/Medium but it fit like a glove with a t-shirt. The adjustable straps do allow me to wear it over a thick hoodie or my long sleeve leather jacket. Really comfortable and I keep getting compliments left and right. The two front pockets are designed as cross hand pistol holders and at first I was bummed for not having hand warmers but it's actually quite comfortable to use the opposite hand to put/take stuff out of em.

Great vest but built for monsters
Great vest, excellent removable back plate & very comfortable when standing. The sizing is huge, I have broad shoulders but the sizing chart still recommended SM-MD...it would seem they also need a SMall added to the line. My only gripe is that when seated on the bike in the riding position the rear of the collar sits up enough for my pillion to store snacks (she thinks this is hilarious)...but its still a top daily vest, fits nice over a jacket with plenty of expansion on the wings.

Awesome Blank Vest
Looks great with my crew patches on it. I love the back protector since I usually don't wear a jacket for short commuting trips in the summer.
Im a short but built guy (5'6 175lbs) and was worried about the S/M vs L/XL sizing. Usually wear size L shirts. After watching the video here, I decided to get the S/M. Only complaint is that there is only one small pocket on the inside of the vest, My previous vests always had at least 2

Went down around 40 and slid on back protector
About a month ago i went down around 40 mph. I ended up sliding on the back protector for a while. Without a doubt i would have spinal damage if it weren't for this vest. Thank you icon. Now for the downside. I dont fit a lg/xl, and the xxl/xxxl i have is loose so the vest did slide up at first while sliding down the road. I wish icon would manufactur in individual sizes, and provide better straps than velcro. Best back protector in a vest period paired with mediocre sizing and inferior velcro straps. I'm leaning towards having my new vest custom taylored for size and removing the velcro and replacing it with a leather system.

Perfect Fit, Substantial Leather
This is my first vest. I ordered it Thrusday afternoon, and it arrived today, Friday, afternoon! BOO-YAH!
I was apprehensive about fit--I'm 5'8", 160lbs, 44inch chest, 29" waist. I ordered the SM/MD.
With just a t-shirt on, it fits perfectly with the straps sinched all the way tight. The length, for me is perfect. The drop down back goes to about the tops of my rear pockets, so I don't sit on the tail. The front raises up a bit for leaning forward, so the best doesn't bunch up.
I've noticed the back-neck area pulls out some. Probably due to the back protector, or maybe by design to "scoop" air? I don't plan on wearing this over a jacket as it has a good amount of weight to it. My leather jacket is already pretty heavy. With this on top, I'd feel too weighed down. This purchase was my alternative to wearing a mesh riding jacket on hot summer rides.
Pros: Thick, supple, and great feeling leather. Back protector seems sturdy. Zippers are smooth and engage easily.
Cons: For the price, I would've liked a double zipper option and better quality pocket linings.
Fit-wise--The velcro straps could use an additional 2-3" to tighten the vest even further for us non-beer-gut folks!
Construction-wise--Also for the price, I would've liked to see full leather construction--the straps and side stretch panels are nylon and some type of spandex-cotton blend, respectively. The cross-draw pockets are "supposed" to be able to hold a small firearm. The mesh/netting of the pockets doesn't feel sturdy enough to hold a firearm safely. Their open weave also seems that it would catch sights or other parts of a gun if/when one would ever need to deploy a weapon! I would've liked to see leather and some type of sturdy/smooth liner that wasn't open mesh.
Style-wise--a low mandarin collar would've been awesome, too.
Safety-wise, reflective piping would've been a nice touch!
Overall: Worth the price and I like that it's not stupid with logos and branding. I would recommend this product.

Good overall vest. Plenty of room on front and back for patches. The neck portion is on the large side. Flannel shirt's collar underneith will flap in the wind. Also is a little on the high price side...
