If you were to make the riding season in Portland into a pie chart it would look something like a pizza with one small slice missing. The small slice is the time when it's not raining. The rest of the year is well, pretty much wet. Like the rest of our PDX line, the PDX waterproof gloves were made for the rain. Our biggest challenge was to make them waterproof without compromising dexterity and feel. Embossed neoprene flex panels in critical areas provide plenty of flex and pre-curved palm and fingers ensure great feel from your controls. The waterproof textile chassis with over-the-cuff gauntlets keep the moisture out. Protection comes by the way of abrasion-resistant palms and heavy duty construction.

Just what I was looking for
First textile glove and am very impressed. Warm but not bulky. Effortlessly wrap around grips. Gauntlet is just long enough.

waterproof and fairly warm, very good gloves
this handled terrible rainstorms and cold temps very well, my hands stay dry and warm every time. i'm very glad i purchased these. they are a little bit snug, but not too tight. i got them in XL. i'd recommend these to anyone as a solid glove for cold, windy and rainy conditions.

Does the job
Used this glove on a recent trip to Key West. Rode though moderate rain for nearly 200 miles. My hands stayed dry. I wear a medium and the gloves very snug. There is no knuckle protection but you usually don't get that in a $55 glove. I bought the red one. It is really good looking.

Would you like cereal with those PRUNES?
BOO! I am so disappointed! I own the ICON PDX Jacket and pants, with great results, so I was stoked to pull on these newly arrived gloves to add to the compliment for my ride that was sure to be filled with drizzle. When the rain started, on went the PDX. "wait. it feels like my hands are wet. Naw, it CAN'T be. I have only been riding for 10 minutes". But two hours later I pulled them off, PRUNE HANDS! (See pics). My hands were not "damp", not "wet". They were SOAKED! This was not a driving rain, it was a drizzle at best, and not even constant. It's like they made my gloves and FORGOT the waterproof component! They sucked up water like a sponge! Honestly folks, and I love ICON, but you can wear wool socks on your hands and have the same level of water protection. ICON I am SO disappointed in you guys! BOOO!

Is there any specific care that goes with these after they have been wet? Mechanical drying, etc? Also can they be machine washed?

Read my review (multimotors). My hands were soaked in 10 minutes of riding in light rain. Then to make matters worse, the inner liner fits loosely in the glove, so one I pull my hand OUT wet, I couldn't get the liner to line up well with the shell to put my hand BACK IN and complete my ride. Wait this one out, ICON is going to have to change these things because the do NOT keep your hands dry.Age: 35-44

Liner is smooth and comfy. Rain shouldn't be a problem in the New Jersey. Not sure it would keep you warm below 40. I just did 200 miles in moderate rain Nov 4th.1 year, 6 months ago
