Excellent ICON Product
As my wardrobe is utterly filled with Revzilla products, I am on a mission today to be helpful and provide an up-to-date review of as many products as possible. As such, this review will be current (as of late January 2014), quick and to the point.
First off, I am a street/custom rider, so the brand's approach is dead-on for me. Might not be for racers and what have you, but to each their own.
The Defendant Hoody is an excellent product. I have absolutely no complaints. Some people feel ICON is a "bargain-brand" of some sort, but I disagree entirely. My closet is filled with their stuff, and I wouldn't spend my hard-earned money on garbage - repeatedly. Their quality has vastly improved. The Defendant is an example of that, not to mention pretty much the entire ICON 1000 line. Without question, a worthwhile purchase. It's warm, well-made, fashionable and durable. Can't ask for much more.

Exactly what I was looking....
I ride all year round and was looking for a hoody during the spring summer weather to wear over my Thor Impact Rig Armored Shirt or other impact armor that I have. I needed something that had some sort of wind resistance and comfort. I just purchased the Icon hoody recently and was exposed to 50 degree weather with windy conditions. The hoody was comfortable, wind resistant and warm. The following day, I rode in 68-71 degree weather which the hoody was again comfortable and didn't feel heavy or warm. I had on a t-shirt, armor and it still felt cool. I like the overall feel of the hoody. The hood itself sits high behind your neck and doesn't flop down your back like your normal hoody. Great construction, design and material. I purchased the (Large) and I am 5'10" 175 lb with a athletic build. I thought it was going to be a little big, but it fits just fine with or without armor. Hope this helps...

I really like this jacket. The fit is perfect and it keeps me warm and dry. I was worried about the fit because I'm only 5'3" tall but I have a big chest. I ordered a medium and it fits just right. The jacket doesn't have a lot of insulation to it but it does a good job of blocking cold air and wind. I haven't got it wet so I don't know how well it blocks water. I would recommend this jacket. Its light weight and looks pretty good too.

Bought this just because I liked the look of it. Built well, zips up with zip pockets, comfortable and warm. I'm 5' 9", slim to average build, and the small fits me well. its a tiny bit too short and I have to pull it down occasionally, but fits well otherwise. Feels good, like it would take a beating, and relatively weather resistant (got caught in a shower and handled it well). Good quality product from Icon.

shopper m:I have owned this hoodie for approximately a year. I live in Orlando, Fl and never wear it riding. If this is your primary riding jacket then it would only be good for a very very short distance in a very light rain. The material is almost similar to a neoprene wet suit if you have an experience with that (Im a diver also). In a light Florida rain I would wear the hoodie around daily and it would be fine. I wouldn't recommend this jacket for riding because it offers no protection in the event of a fall (just my 2 cents in case you were thinking about it for that purpose). For a daily hoodie it is outstanding. there is no waterproof lining, or waterproofing on the zippers of any kind.Oct 23, 2013
