Icon 1000 Vigilante Dropout Jacket
Great style, odd fit
I'll keep this short and straight forward:
• Great style. Looks good on and off the bike. The patches and badging on the sleeves really makes this a standout.
• Material and craftsmanship is what you would expect from the Icon 1000 line. Top shelf all the way.
• This is not an extreme cold weather jacket but in 30 to 35 degree weather, I was comfortable.
• Sizing is tricky. I ordered a large and it felt fine in the body and shoulders but the sleeves were loose and short. Since there is always variances in leather jackets, I sent the first one back and reordered another in the same size. The new one is too tight around the shoulders and arms but the sleeve length is perfect.
• Air flow is minimal which is good for colder days but bad for warmer ones.
• The removable lining is clunky. The jacket fits and feels better without it.
I'll end with this… I ended up returning both jackets and got another Icon 1000 jacket that was twice as much but fits better all the way around. I really, really liked the Vigilante Dropout for the style and price! The jacket looked awesome with my Rimfire gloves. If you can get the sizing right, I say go for it.

I really like the look of this jacket and in person it looks just as good.
Lots of pocket space especially with liner in.
I was comfortable riding in 80+ degrees without liner and 50 with liner.
Quality seems to be good and typical of icon with my jacket and didn't have issues with loose threads etc...
Woven material of the body portion looks and performs great but is quite ridgid and sounds like a heavy paper grocery bag if your moving around in it off the bike. It doesn't bother me much since you can't hear it while riding anyway.
I generally wear a large in other jackets including other icon (not 1000) and a medium fits perfect.

Awesome looking jacket that can easily be worn off the bike casually.
I purchased this jacket with high expectations from what I had read and seen online. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed at how rigid the midsection of the jacket is. when you sit down, the jacket does not bend much. Also, I am an average sized man and my forearms were squeezed to the point of bad circulation when I first wore the jacket. however, after wearing for a few weeks, it has stretched out to be comfortably snug. even with the negatives, the jacket still looks awesome and is worth having.

Love the jacket! The styling is excellent and the patches really make you stand out. With the thermal liner out you can ride in the heat just fine, and when the temps drop, just toss it back in. At first I was worried about it not being waterproof but I found just throwing a rain jacket over it does the trick just fine. I would highly recomend this jacket to anyone!!

Really like this jacket a lot, super good style, only downside is the ventilation is not fantastic, but it makes do. I've been using it in the summer and only rarely feel that it's overly hot.
Patches are cool too and seem good quality, except for the "always cheat"/"always win" ones.... those actually seem a bit cheap.
Overall seems very well-made. The armor is very comfortable and I can't even notice that it's there.

Overall a great jacket, but lacking quality.
As everyone has already said, the jacket looks stunning. But not very many people touched on the quality. My original jacket I ordered had to be returned as it was missing some snap buttons, no big deal, Revzilla is awesome about returns. But before returning it I noticed there were a lot of hanging threads on the jacket that needed to be trimmed off. Not something I was expecting from a $300 jacket. Thinking it may have just been a lemon, I ordered another one. Again it arrived with a ton of hanging threads. I snipped them off and all is well now but I fear the stitching may give out or I may loose another snap button in the future. Also, the "Always Cheat" and "Always Win" patches are almost paper thin. they will undoubtedly get worn out or tore off in the future.
Ok, enough ranting about that. On the bright side the jacket does perform very well. I wore it on a 8 hour trip in 50 to 55 degree temps and I only felt chilled a couple of times. Anything colder though and you better layer up. The armor is unobtrusive and feels adequate in the event of a low to mid speed fall.
Overall the jacket is great but I think Icon could've stepped up the quality just a bit.

Great style low quality
I bought this jacket and I have to say that it looks great but the quality is lacking. the zipper wasn't stitched at one part and the stitching for the pocket for the back armor let go...after a week. the button on the pocket of the liner came off too. Funny that they put 2 extra in there...what's that tell you? As much as I love the jacket I get the feeling that the stitching will let me down more in the future.

This is an awesome jacket -
Reading these seems like reading a page in Vogue with all these dudes talking about body types and how things fit - pretty funny... (but definitely helpful and needed!) That being said, I'm about to do the same. I'm just over 5' 8" and around 200 pounds #I wear 16 1/2 - 32/33 collared shirts#... more fit than chubby. The Large was a bit too big and long. Returned that for the medium #absolutely no hassle at all with Revzilla# - which fits perfect, if not just a bit tight. The zippers at the end of each sleeve are great - zipped up for a tight fit around the wrists, unzipped for a looser feel and for increase airflow. There are zippers in the armpit area also that provide the same options. The jacket looks amazing- really provides a lot of support when you're riding. For shorter, stocky people like me, this jacket isn't going to fit perfect - Medium will give you a snug fit... Large will be a bit baggy. One thing, even on the medium, the neck is a bit loose even when you have the buttons snapped. If you're not sure, then order the Large first - that way you only have to send it back once!
