Icon 1000 Vigilante Dropout Jacket
Awesome looking jacket that can easily be worn off the bike casually.
I purchased this jacket with high expectations from what I had read and seen online. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed at how rigid the midsection of the jacket is. when you sit down, the jacket does not bend much. Also, I am an average sized man and my forearms were squeezed to the point of bad circulation when I first wore the jacket. however, after wearing for a few weeks, it has stretched out to be comfortably snug. even with the negatives, the jacket still looks awesome and is worth having.

Love the jacket! The styling is excellent and the patches really make you stand out. With the thermal liner out you can ride in the heat just fine, and when the temps drop, just toss it back in. At first I was worried about it not being waterproof but I found just throwing a rain jacket over it does the trick just fine. I would highly recomend this jacket to anyone!!

Really like this jacket a lot, super good style, only downside is the ventilation is not fantastic, but it makes do. I've been using it in the summer and only rarely feel that it's overly hot.
Patches are cool too and seem good quality, except for the "always cheat"/"always win" ones.... those actually seem a bit cheap.
Overall seems very well-made. The armor is very comfortable and I can't even notice that it's there.

Overall a great jacket, but lacking quality.
As everyone has already said, the jacket looks stunning. But not very many people touched on the quality. My original jacket I ordered had to be returned as it was missing some snap buttons, no big deal, Revzilla is awesome about returns. But before returning it I noticed there were a lot of hanging threads on the jacket that needed to be trimmed off. Not something I was expecting from a $300 jacket. Thinking it may have just been a lemon, I ordered another one. Again it arrived with a ton of hanging threads. I snipped them off and all is well now but I fear the stitching may give out or I may loose another snap button in the future. Also, the "Always Cheat" and "Always Win" patches are almost paper thin. they will undoubtedly get worn out or tore off in the future.
Ok, enough ranting about that. On the bright side the jacket does perform very well. I wore it on a 8 hour trip in 50 to 55 degree temps and I only felt chilled a couple of times. Anything colder though and you better layer up. The armor is unobtrusive and feels adequate in the event of a low to mid speed fall.
Overall the jacket is great but I think Icon could've stepped up the quality just a bit.

Great style low quality
I bought this jacket and I have to say that it looks great but the quality is lacking. the zipper wasn't stitched at one part and the stitching for the pocket for the back armor let go...after a week. the button on the pocket of the liner came off too. Funny that they put 2 extra in there...what's that tell you? As much as I love the jacket I get the feeling that the stitching will let me down more in the future.

This is an awesome jacket -
Reading these seems like reading a page in Vogue with all these dudes talking about body types and how things fit - pretty funny... (but definitely helpful and needed!) That being said, I'm about to do the same. I'm just over 5' 8" and around 200 pounds #I wear 16 1/2 - 32/33 collared shirts#... more fit than chubby. The Large was a bit too big and long. Returned that for the medium #absolutely no hassle at all with Revzilla# - which fits perfect, if not just a bit tight. The zippers at the end of each sleeve are great - zipped up for a tight fit around the wrists, unzipped for a looser feel and for increase airflow. There are zippers in the armpit area also that provide the same options. The jacket looks amazing- really provides a lot of support when you're riding. For shorter, stocky people like me, this jacket isn't going to fit perfect - Medium will give you a snug fit... Large will be a bit baggy. One thing, even on the medium, the neck is a bit loose even when you have the buttons snapped. If you're not sure, then order the Large first - that way you only have to send it back once!

Worried about sizing at first...but turned out perfect!
Just received this jacket and immediately put to rest my biggest concern about purchasing this jacket...sizing and fit.
Verdict, it fits spot on for me. I have two other ICON jackets that I was trying to compare this drop out jacket too, both of which, though the same size, are on opposite ends of the spectrum as far as fit.
I have a leather overlord prime hero in XL and this jacket was fairly tight because of the attack fit. I could've definitely sized up to an XXL and the fit might've been a little better but an XL was doable.
Then I also have the textile overlord type 1, also in an XL. This jacket, despite having an advertised 'attack fit'...actually fit how most other XL jacket's fit... really baggy and not so much my taste. I still have it around only because I've had zero luck selling it lol.
So, as you can see, both icon jackets, both XLs, but very different fits. So I just had no idea how to gauge the drop out. Though I'm a big fan of revzilla's reviews, the motorcycle super store review of this jacket actually helped me the most in pulling the trigger on this jacket because the guy that models the jacket in that video is actually closer to my size. I'm 6'2, 240lbs, 34" waist and only a 42inch chest, however, my upper back/trap area is pretty thick (because all I'm able to do nowadays is deadlift) so that's what I have to account for in jackets. Though I should be a large according to size charts, It's the upper back area from shoulder to shoulder that is usually uber tight so i have to size up just to account for that. But then the other issue is, XL jackets usually come with wayyy too much room in the stomach area and now I'm left with this really poofy looking, visually ill-fit jacket.
I have none of those issues with the fit of this jacket.
The XL fits me perfect. It's got that 'attack' fit feeling up top in the shoulder, chest, upper back area...but a little more room around the waist, stomach...but not a moo moo by any means. It is slightly tight in the forearm area so I have to wiggle the elbow pad around a bit to get it into place after I slip my arm though...and it's slightly cumbersome...but I do have fairly thick forearms (15" circumference at the thickest spot), again, from only being able to deadlift (not trying to sound like douche...just trying to give the best description I can).
I'm probably going to cut out the 'always cheat' slogan though...only because I personally don't like that message. but I like the rest of the patches.
