Great Everyday Riding Shoe I have owned this boot for a couple of months now. I have nothing but good things to say. The boot is very comfortable and stylish but is also quite bulky. The protection seems to be solid, however, I have not had the need to try it out (fortunately). To protect the leather and waterproof it a bit, I used a wax based sealer and it has worked very well. My feet stay dry for brief rides in rain but nothing more. I love this boot and would definitely recommend it. November 27, 2015
Busta' brah! After 12 months of use and 1 low side crash, she finally gave in. Comfortable shoes in and out of the bike. I wear em' to work 2 times per week. Save my okole in a low side crash and my foot is intact. My ribs -not so lucky. They run a little wide, however, the are very cozy and I feel very well protected. I guess you can't have it all. For $200, it's hard to say aloha to these shoes. I want another one. November 23, 2015
Great Product Great Style True Review. This product is great. Very Stylish for a boot. Has great wear protection and ankle support. rolled Ankle after stepping in a hole my dog dug while wearing them and they saved ankle from Breaking. Everyone says they look good and have even worn outside to bars with jeans. Look great feel great and feel solid and supportive when riding. Only downside is the the downside to any boot, very hard to slide and work gear box when riding hard. Perfect Boot Recommended to everyone. 2013 CBR 600RR October 22, 2015
Great boots, but be weary if you have wide feet. Only complaint I have out of these Truant 1000's are that they seem to be on the narrow side. If you have wide feet they may not work for you as they are barely wide enough for me. After wearing them for a few days they started to break in an became more comfortable but still could definitely be wider. Wish more companies offered double and triple E width sizing. Other then that the boots are great. Look awesome and are quite comfortable after a bit of break in. Stylish while riding or just wearing as a casual shoe. Material seems sturdy enough though you will definitely see the bits where you hit your gear shifter after a good bit of riding. Reinforced toe and ankle supports feel good. Air flow is ok. If you tilt your foot down while your heel is on the peg you can get a bit of breeze going through the sides of the tongue. All in all a great boot. Would recommend for sure to anyone with non-wide feet. October 19, 2015
Great styling and comfort. I was looking for a shoe that I could wear on and off the bike. I found these riding shoes and they seemed to fit the bill from researching numerous shoes. I've been riding with the shoes for about a month and they are very comfortable. In fact I forget to take them off and switch to more casual shoes. My wife thinks they look great - so that's why I know the styling is excellent. So far the shoes are holding up great. No marks from the gear shifter and the soles have not shown any signs of wear. I would definitely by these shoes again. October 13, 2015
Ultimate Casual Boot! I've had these boots for two weeks and I'm completely in love! They have a killer look and protection to back it up. I wanted a shoe that would look great both on and off the bike, and since I am a woman with wider feet, I usually wear a 9.5 in Mens shoes. The sizing was spot on, it fits like a glove, save for a little extra room in the toes (still extremely comfortable). My feet feel solid and protected, the high top hits just right for all day ankle support. Air flow has been fantastic during these hot California days but I will see how it plays out during colder weather. I have noticed a loose thread on the lace holder of the tongue which is disappointing after such a short time, it's not a deal breaker but I'm hoping the rest holds up much longer. This is the perfect boot for anyone who wants to stay protected without sacrificing style. September 29, 2015
Totally awesome! Bought these for my MSF course. Zero experience as a rider and no expertise on gear. Wore these shoes for 18 hours over the 2 day course and my feet never once felt sore, hot or tired (even though the rest of my body was complaining). Was a very warm day and I was sweating by my feet stayed dry. Soles have good traction but are nice and flat to allow movement on the pegs. The strap keeps the laces out of the way...no dangling. With so much else to concern myself with, I never once worried about my feet or my ability confidently access the bikes controls. I wear an 11 street shoe and bought an 11. Perfect fit! Buy these boots! September 28, 2015
Great shoes Been wearing these shoes everyday on my bike commuting and love em. They don't flow air but the fit is spot on and comfortable even working 8 hours straight walking and going up ladders all day. The look doesn't scream riding boot and fits well with jeans. On the bike the shifter interface works well and the soles don't slip on the pegs. Overall I would recommend these to anyone looking for a pair of boots that look good in street clothes and function on a bike. September 25, 2015

Jose B: I just got the CE version, granted I don't have the prior one, these have reinforced armor under the leather at the toe box and heel. There is also some reinforcement at both sizes of the ankle. I do wish that they had some protection on the lateral foot. They're flexible and easy to walk in. May 13, 2014

Nolan R: Thanks guys! I've been wearing low cut sneakers for some time now so it's about time for some boots! I recently got the Royal Drive pants and unfortunately found while riding that they ride up my ankles a lot! I really wanted these boots but I don't know if they're going to cut it on the height. Might have to go for the Prep boot I guess.. May 7, 2015

CHRIS H: Revzilla is the best online store I have ever used, I returned my boots, because they were to wide, I just couldnt get the middle of the shoe tight enough my foot didnt feel like it wasn't moving around in the shoe. Other reviews talk about wide feet fitting these boots, personaly If you foot is narrow these wont work. I have other Icon stuff and these and the El bajo(I also returned) are great looking and very well made, however the boots dont fit my feet. Love Revzilla May 14, 2014

Stu S: As these are my first pair of authentic riding shoes i am to qualified answer your comparison question. What I can tell you is that after trying on over a dozen styles of shoes over the course of 2mo i selected this
Truant 1000. It was comfortable and casual enough to walk in, unobtrusive, yet durable and stylish enough to be worn during the most demanding riding conditions. They have generous room and a decently large toe box. I have a short stocky foot. 8.5/42 fits me nicely. They were sold out everywhere and hard to get. I suggest you jump on a pair while you can. I recommend these boots highly...

Nikolaos P asked: I wear Euro 44 and on most shoes i've got (Adidas, Nike, Etnies ....) the US size is 10 (on some 10.5). I am trying to figure out which shoe size should i get on these Icon Boots, any suggestions? Dec 23, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Stu S: I have a short stocky foot. I usually take anywhere between a 42-43/8.5-9. I ordered both sizes and surprisingly, the smaller size fit my foot a bit better. They run pretty true to size and are a spacious durable boot. They were secure with good feel and control. Plus they look great! The sole does show signs of wear as i apparently drag my right foot when starting off. I recommend this shoe! Dec 30, 2014

dustin h: I'm not sure about euro sizes but I bought the same size that i wear with other shoe brands and it fit true to the size. Great boot. Highly recommended. Dec 30, 2014

Nikolaos P: Thanks Dustin.

I went with 44 size, i didn't get them yet but once i do i will comment on them. Dec 30, 2014
CHRIS H: I returned my shoes. The length was ok but they were way to wide. Dec 30, 2014

A shopper asked: My question is about sizing. I wear a size 13 US in most brands (converse, Adidas, DCs). I also wear corrective arch insoles that do not span the entire shoe. Most are saying to go down a half size, but there isn't a 12.5. With my normal size + my insoles is it recommended to stick with the 13 or drop a full size to 12? Apr 18, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
dustin h: I would stick to the 13 if you're going to run insoles. I feel that they fit pretty true to size. I typically wear vans for street shoes if you do too. Apr 18, 2015

A shopper asked: What's the difference between US size 9.5 and size 9? Is it a true 1/2 inch difference? I got a 9.5 pair of the CE and my feet are moving around in them. I generally wear a US addidas size 9.5 with a little wiggle room which helps at the end of a long day. Just wondering if should order a size 9 or a size 8.5. thanks for your help Jun 24, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Victor J: Well the easy way for you would be to put a better pair of inserts in. My boots are size 11 and they fit ok after my corrective inserts. My normal size is 11 but did not try them on as they came. I would guess they run a half size big- hope this helps. Vic Johnson Jun 24, 2014

Hugh J: So I wear an 11.5 (EEE wide feet) in sneakers and workboots. I ordered a 11.5 in the truant and had the same problem, my feet were swimming in them. I went a full size down to a 10.5. They are snug but not tight. With feet as wide as mine its not easy buying euro sized boots , but these ones are not a true American size either. Jun 25, 2014

Dan A asked: How much do these stretch or mold? I have two pairs in front of me now. Size 10.5 feels very tight and snug. The 11 feels perfect. Should I buy the tight pair in hopes it will stretch and mold or will the comfortable fit stay comfortable without stretching too much? I dont want to buy the tight pair if it doesnt loosen up and mold and dont want to buy the comfortable pair if it loosens too much. I ask since these are leather. How much did these stretch or loosen (if at all) for you guys with time? Oct 22, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
James M: I've had mine about a year and a half. They have stretched a bit but have not become sloppy in fit; even after being thoroughly soaked when I got caught in a couple of pop-up thundershowers. They are very comfortable and I have been pleased with them, I guess the question is how tight is very tight?? Sorry I can't be more helpful. Oct 25, 2015

Philip P asked: There's no such thing as "CE Rated". The Icon website makes no mention of these being CE anything. Can someone shed some light on what this actually means? The CE agency is very particular about documentation, so can someone provide something to elaborate on "CE Rated"? Jun 9, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Logan E: CE, EC & NE rated accreditation all mean the same thing which is an item is held to a European community standard that the item will operate as designed, plus an implied 'a bit more'.

In motorcycle wear CE means if you go down & are sliding down the hiway, CE rated chinos & flannel shirts will give you more protection than standard chinos or flannel shirt, to varying degrees.
