Comfortable, stylish and durable. Great for commuting and anyone who wants a solid boot without all of the features of technical boot. I bought this boot because I wanted something that was safer than a shoe and not as technical as a racing boot. I wear it during my commute to work and for casual trips. It's a great boot on and off the bike - I can walk in these for days and not feel like I have "motorcycle" boots on. I've had this boot for over 6 months (about 2,000 miles of riding) and not a single sign of serious wear. I usually wear size 9, but feel like an 8.5 would have been a better fit. I purchased the black ones and they fit in with my bike. April 13, 2015
Fit with everything, feel wonderful My first thought when I put them on was, "Wow, these are surprisingly comfortable!" They are also surprisingly protective and surprisingly good looking. I'm a 26 year old snowboarder/wakeboarder/motorcycle rider. These fit very nicely with almost any wardrobe style I'm in. They look and feel like designer shoes that you paid over 300 for. The oil finish means that as you get that black shifter mark on your left toe, it really blends in and adds character rather than ruins it. Ordered my normal size, perfect fit. The price I paid feels very very reasonable for what I got. March 25, 2015
pretty good worth the dough the fit is true to size. the perforation on on the side panels gives decent airflow. they are well made and offer a good amount of protection with the hard toe, double leather heel cup, about a half inch of padding on either side of the ankle, and the shank. they are stiff and if you intend on being on your feet all day with these i would reconsider, but walking a round for a few hours is not a problem, on the other hand that stiff sole/shank makes for all day comfort on the pegs. styling is subjective but i dig the mad max meets air jordan look. oh, my heel slips a bit as if i am wearing a real or traditional boot. March 20, 2015
Overall Great Boot Great boot which provides decent protection. I purchased the oiled brown and they age really well, providing a nice look. Overall i am very satisfied with the fit and feel of these boots. March 16, 2015
Great fit, great look, great ride I bought these boots because I needed a boot for the summer that I can wear on and off the bike. They fit perfectly out of the box, no break in required. They work great for whatever the day brings wether it's running around with the kids or goin for a couple hundred miles on the bike. So comfortable I forget I'm wearing a CE rated motorcycle boot. March 9, 2015
Great Around the Town Boot A little expensive for what it is, but very comfortable. Not sure about ankle support but great for walking around town once you jump off the bike. March 2, 2015
Great looking, but fell apart quickly. I had these boots for about 3 months before the stitching started to come out on the toe. After that, the rivets that hold the buckles on loosened up and ultimately came off and the padding on the heel ripped open. I don't do anything crazy with my shoes so I was pretty disappointed with the overall quality, especially for the price and the brand. Wouldn't buy again. January 21, 2015
Great street boot Been riding with some SIDI boots in the city but unfortunately they weren't quite suitable for the task. While riding was definitely good in them, they were a pain to walk around in, look "funny" to non-riders, and could have used a little more toebox. Then I got these. Holy wow these Truant boots are amazing! They look like a low-cut boot but they actually do completely cover the ankle, sport a steel shank, and are shockingly comfortable despite offering all the protection and riding features I expect from a full boot. They can definitely take a hit and stay on your feet but I was very surprised to find I didn't have the strong urge to pull them off as soon as I got off the bike. Very nicely done, Icon! Jose B: I just got the CE version, granted I don't have the prior one, these have reinforced armor under the leather at the toe box and heel. There is also some reinforcement at both sizes of the ankle. I do wish that they had some protection on the lateral foot. They're flexible and easy to walk in. May 13, 2014

A shopper asked: Hey does the CE rating change anything about the boot? or does it just stamp the rating on there.
(add more protection, etc.)

Thomas Ryan D asked: I have a pair of Elsinores that after some break-in, fit decently. How does the Truant boot fit compared to the Elsinore? May 13, 2014

CHRIS H: Revzilla is the best online store I have ever used, I returned my boots, because they were to wide, I just couldnt get the middle of the shoe tight enough my foot didnt feel like it wasn't moving around in the shoe. Other reviews talk about wide feet fitting these boots, personaly If you foot is narrow these wont work. I have other Icon stuff and these and the El bajo(I also returned) are great looking and very well made, however the boots dont fit my feet. Love Revzilla May 14, 2014

Stu S: As these are my first pair of authentic riding shoes i am to qualified answer your comparison question. What I can tell you is that after trying on over a dozen styles of shoes over the course of 2mo i selected this
Truant 1000. It was comfortable and casual enough to walk in, unobtrusive, yet durable and stylish enough to be worn during the most demanding riding conditions. They have generous room and a decently large toe box. I have a short stocky foot. 8.5/42 fits me nicely. They were sold out everywhere and hard to get. I suggest you jump on a pair while you can. I recommend these boots highly...

Thomas Ryan D: How would you characterize the width; narrow, wide, standard? May 13, 2014
Jose B: I have not tried those boots, but after some break in mine fit great. I wear a size 9.5 Nike Sneaker and with these I have a 9.5. Fitament is perfect. May 13, 2014

Nikolaos P asked: I wear Euro 44 and on most shoes i've got (Adidas, Nike, Etnies ....) the US size is 10 (on some 10.5). I am trying to figure out which shoe size should i get on these Icon Boots, any suggestions? Dec 23, 2014

Stu S: I have a short stocky foot. I usually take anywhere between a 42-43/8.5-9. I ordered both sizes and surprisingly, the smaller size fit my foot a bit better. They run pretty true to size and are a spacious durable boot. They were secure with good feel and control. Plus they look great! The sole does show signs of wear as i apparently drag my right foot when starting off. I recommend this shoe! Dec 30, 2014

dustin h: I'm not sure about euro sizes but I bought the same size that i wear with other shoe brands and it fit true to the size. Great boot. Highly recommended. Dec 30, 2014

Nikolaos P: Thanks Dustin.

I went with 44 size, i didn't get them yet but once i do i will comment on them. Dec 30, 2014
CHRIS H: I returned my shoes. The length was ok but they were way to wide. Dec 30, 2014

A shopper asked: My question is about sizing. I wear a size 13 US in most brands (converse, Adidas, DCs). I also wear corrective arch insoles that do not span the entire shoe. Most are saying to go down a half size, but there isn't a 12.5. With my normal size + my insoles is it recommended to stick with the 13 or drop a full size to 12? Apr 18, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
dustin h: I would stick to the 13 if you're going to run insoles. I feel that they fit pretty true to size. I typically wear vans for street shoes if you do too. Apr 18, 2015

Jan S: I would stick with 13.
Happy riding.

A shopper asked: What's the difference between US size 9.5 and size 9? Is it a true 1/2 inch difference? I got a 9.5 pair of the CE and my feet are moving around in them. I generally wear a US addidas size 9.5 with a little wiggle room which helps at the end of a long day. Just wondering if should order a size 9 or a size 8.5. thanks for your help Jun 24, 2014

Victor J: Well the easy way for you would be to put a better pair of inserts in. My boots are size 11 and they fit ok after my corrective inserts. My normal size is 11 but did not try them on as they came. I would guess they run a half size big- hope this helps. Vic Johnson Jun 24, 2014

Hugh J: So I wear an 11.5 (EEE wide feet) in sneakers and workboots. I ordered a 11.5 in the truant and had the same problem, my feet were swimming in them. I went a full size down to a 10.5. They are snug but not tight. With feet as wide as mine its not easy buying euro sized boots , but these ones are not a true American size either. Jun 25, 2014
