Great alternative to full boot. I've been looking for a motorcycle boot that provides a high level of comfort while still providing modest to good riding protection. I've always worn full-height boots, but have found them to not be extremely comfortable for all day wear and being on my feet 5+ hours a day. I decided to try the Icon Truants a few weeks ago and, so far, I'm extremely pleased. These boots have a very high production quality, great workmanship and a versatile style that allows me to wear the boots with jeans and casual slacks. Most importantly, the Truants are very comfortable and support me well for all day wear, walking around or standing. The toe box is a bit taller and will require me to adjust my shifting peg a little bit. Nothing extreme, just a bit more room needed when compared to my other boots. This is most likely because of the Truant's taller sole. Overall, this is the most comfortable and versatile pair of riding boots I've had in my 25 years of riding. July 14, 2014
Great boots I got these boots because I wanted something that looked like a normal shoe but had great protective qualities. These boots fit the bill perfectly! I have gotten complements about how nice they look. They also are comfortable enough for me to wear all day at the office or walking around for a good bit of the day. My feet do get a little hot in them, but I just have to make sure I wear some vented socks and it isn't bad. Just make sure you wear longs socks when you wear these or the ankle protection will hurt your ankles. I would recommend these! July 7, 2014
Nice shoe for those who ride classic bikes. Watch-out your size. I normally wear Nike US10, but this ICON US10 fits like 10.5, which is not a big deal when riding, but I do feel my feet slip inside the shoe while walking around. And also shoelaces are of terrible quality. Mine got worn out ust after 3rd ride. Anyway, the shoe is nice. Brown color is my favorite. I ride Triumph Bonneville. June 25, 2014
Comfortable and style Awesome boot with practable features with uncompromised style. June 9, 2014
Best riding SHOES i've owned yet If you want real protection go get some full lengths boots. But if you need something to skip around town on errands or attend an event via moto, this shoe is awesome. Normal boots just always felt awkward to me at an event or gathering, bulky and stiff. So I wear these a lot now when just on a casual outing. Pretty good protection for looking pretty casual. A little expensive (more than some full length boots!), but build quality is excellent On the picture, my aftermarket shifter is way sharp, can cut you, and literally tears holes in normal sneakers. This shift pad thing is actually doing really well, some roughing up of the surface but that thing is thick! May 13, 2014

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Rhys O: I've been looking at them for a while but got side tracked when work got busy and I couldn't find them out here in Australia. Then I couldn't decide between them and the Tcx X-rap but I when with the ones I first liked. Plus I needed to stop riding in a pair of leather Vans haha Jul 25, 2014
Stu S: comfort, style, fit Jul 24, 2014

Hugh J: They have a pretty good look. Apr 24, 2014

Jose B: I just got the CE version, granted I don't have the prior one, these have reinforced armor under the leather at the toe box and heel. There is also some reinforcement at both sizes of the ankle. I do wish that they had some protection on the lateral foot. They're flexible and easy to walk in. May 13, 2014

A shopper asked: Hey does the CE rating change anything about the boot? or does it just stamp the rating on there.
(add more protection, etc.)

Thomas Ryan D asked: I have a pair of Elsinores that after some break-in, fit decently. How does the Truant boot fit compared to the Elsinore? May 13, 2014

CHRIS H: Revzilla is the best online store I have ever used, I returned my boots, because they were to wide, I just couldnt get the middle of the shoe tight enough my foot didnt feel like it wasn't moving around in the shoe. Other reviews talk about wide feet fitting these boots, personaly If you foot is narrow these wont work. I have other Icon stuff and these and the El bajo(I also returned) are great looking and very well made, however the boots dont fit my feet. Love Revzilla May 14, 2014

Stu S: As these are my first pair of authentic riding shoes i am to qualified answer your comparison question. What I can tell you is that after trying on over a dozen styles of shoes over the course of 2mo i selected this
Truant 1000. It was comfortable and casual enough to walk in, unobtrusive, yet durable and stylish enough to be worn during the most demanding riding conditions. They have generous room and a decently large toe box. I have a short stocky foot. 8.5/42 fits me nicely. They were sold out everywhere and hard to get. I suggest you jump on a pair while you can. I recommend these boots highly...

Keith O: I don't know how your boots fit but the truants fit my feet like a glove. I wear them everywhere. They feel like high top sneakers and they look like it too. May 13, 2014

Thomas Ryan D: How would you characterize the width; narrow, wide, standard? May 13, 2014
Jose B: I have not tried those boots, but after some break in mine fit great. I wear a size 9.5 Nike Sneaker and with these I have a 9.5. Fitament is perfect. May 13, 2014

A shopper asked: What's the difference between US size 9.5 and size 9? Is it a true 1/2 inch difference? I got a 9.5 pair of the CE and my feet are moving around in them. I generally wear a US addidas size 9.5 with a little wiggle room which helps at the end of a long day. Just wondering if should order a size 9 or a size 8.5. thanks for your help Jun 24, 2014

Hugh J: So I wear an 11.5 (EEE wide feet) in sneakers and workboots. I ordered a 11.5 in the truant and had the same problem, my feet were swimming in them. I went a full size down to a 10.5. They are snug but not tight. With feet as wide as mine its not easy buying euro sized boots , but these ones are not a true American size either. Jun 25, 2014

Victor J: Well the easy way for you would be to put a better pair of inserts in. My boots are size 11 and they fit ok after my corrective inserts. My normal size is 11 but did not try them on as they came. I would guess they run a half size big- hope this helps. Vic Johnson Jun 24, 2014
