icon 1000 associate vest I intially ordered the speed and strength tough as nails vest. It was nice but I really did not like the cut. It made me look alot bigger then I am. I did not go for the icon bulletproof looking vest cause everyone i know has one so i went for the associate. Its really nice quality. the lining, zippers and the brazilian cowhide are really nice. i havent fell yet and hope i dont but im sure it wont hurt to have the d30 back protector on it. Great vest, expensive but if you ride alot like I do, then getting a good helmet and good jacket/vest is always a good investment. i know im gonna wear this for years to come. It doesnt seem like a style im gonna outgrow and like i said the quality looks like its gonna endure alot of summers. wear with a t shirt or wind proof fleece underneath for the cold days and im good. Awesome vest Supremely happy with this purchase. Needed something to wear on hot Midwest summer days. Fit is spot on, looks good with just a tshirt or over my non-armored jacket. d30 pad conforms to my back right out of the box. Really stunning details in this vest set it apart. The leather is top notch. Tons of zippers inside, two huge zip up side pockets. Absolutely love all the little tags and fobs. Quality is immediately apparent when you put it on. yes, its sort of expensive. Considering the quality of materials and construction its totally worth the money. Just buy one. March 13, 2013
