I will have to modify the inner liner. It comes unsnapped too easy I'm loving this helmet. I will need to make a modification to keep the inner liner from becoming unsnapped after using it and removing. February 24, 2014
You get your money's worth I ride a Honda TransAlp, so I'm riding in clean air from my chest on up. I think the helmet could have better ventilation. The top vent doesn't seem to flow very well, making it quite warm in the heat. On the other hand, without a chin curtain, it can also be very cold. I'm not sure how well it's going to work in the summer, but I used a balaclava in 35 degree temperature this morning and it was bearable. Also, it seems a bit loud. Though it is significantly quieter than my AFX FX-39, there's some type a whistling noise going on. I attached a Sena SMH-10 and can hear it just fine, even at highway speeds. It's a very comfortable helmet and seems to fit my oval head pretty well. I started to get a hot spot on my forehead, but shifting the helmet a bit, and with some break in time, it is almost perfect now. I went on a 4 hour cruise this past weekend with no issues. Overall, I'm very happy with this helmet. October 21, 2013
Great helmet for the Money! I bought this helmet because of the features. It has all the features and comfort of the $800 helmets. I think that is crazy charging some one $800 when in a ll reality they probably only have $50 in parts and $20 in labor, I do know there is research but its a helmet not titanium exhaust. I will say I bet the $800 helmets should be a little quieter and more air flow. I do like what I got for the price! September 10, 2013
Great helmet Great helmet for the price. The only complaint is that there is not a chin guard to prevent airflow from under the helmet. This is not so good for riding in cold weather. July 15, 2013
Comprehensive review of HJC IS-MAX BT Sprint This helmet is full of features. It has an internal sun visor, which if you do not have, you don't know what you are missing. The sun visor features a three position drop to accommodate multiple nose sizes and positions. The lever is a large slide on the crown of the helmet, making it easy to operate with a gloved hand. The retraction of the sun visor is a single quick action button also located on the crown slighly in front of the lever. There is a vent to the visor on the chin guard. There is a top vent that has an exhaust port on the rear. The visor is three positon that allows for a city vent and a mid-vision vent. It can also be fully opened or closed. Visor is pinlock ready (search RevZilla if you do not know about pinlock) The bluetooth portion of the name denotes a cut-out on the left cheek, that receives a bluetooth reciever (specifically: Chatter Box! Xbi2H plus). The helmet has all the necessary spots for speakers. The chin bar releases with a button under the chin, essentially, making it into a three-quarter helmet. As with the other switches and buttons on this product, it is well designed and easy to operate with a glove. Although, ventilation with the visor closed is not great, the ability to flip the chin bar up makes up for that. Also convenient for quick fill ups and hydration. Overall this helmet has a high value to feature ratio, making it a great pickup. July 9, 2013
pretty good helmet this is a pretty good helmet and for a decent price thanks revzilla June 17, 2013
Really nice helmet I really like the design that allows the whole face mask to rotate up. I wear glasses and this helmet allows me to leave them on while removing the helmet. April 30, 2013

A shopper asked: Would you consider this helmet quiet? Wind noise is main concern for me. Oct 5, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Antonio N: As Michael stated anything under about 60 mph and there isn't really that much wind noise, once you break about 70 mph you notice the wind noise. However, it isn't so loud you need ear plugs. I just came back from a short 2 hr ride (1 hr out / 1 hr back) and I wasn't too terribly bothered by it. Oct 22, 2013

Carl C: On a scale of 1 to10 i give the helmet a 6 on wind noise! Its not that bad but there is some noise. I rate this helmet overall at a 9! I love the helmet... it is very very comfortable and seems to be built very well and solid! Oct 10, 2013

Michael F: This is not a quiet helmet. But it isn't unusually loud either. I wear earplugs, so it doesn't bother me. I also use the Sena SMH10 Bluetooth system. At the highest volume, I hear everything fine even with earplugs. Oct 8, 2013

Michael P: This is my first helmet so I don't have much to compare it to. However, I found it to be not terribly quiet at over 65 mph. Below that the noise is acceptable. Oct 6, 2013

A shopper asked: Will this helmet work with the SENA SMH 10 and can you get a dark tinted shield? Mar 30, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
GTOBRUIN: Yes. This helmet works with the SENA SMH 10. The Bluetooth unit fits right behind the flip-up seam. The speakers fit in the recessed ear-pockets, and they don't affect the comfort of the helmet. May 18, 2013
