Great Helmet I love the modular feature in the front. It makes taking the helmet on and off a breeze, and is great at stoplights to look around. Sunshade is not too dark, but it's never been a serious issue. I haven't tried out the bluetooth, but it is great that it's ready for when I do. 10/10 August 29, 2014
Good value I ordered an XXXL and it fit my head just fine. No ridge on the forehead like some helmets do on my narrow head. Finish is top notch. Face shield easy to take on and off. Nice that you can open the face shield just a crack and it will stay there when you need to de-fog. Hard to beat for the price. August 25, 2014
A bit heavy, a bit loud, but comfortable with great features This is my third modular helmet, having used both a Fulmer and a Vega (please don't judge me) prior, and this is easily the nicest of the three. It's also been the most expensive of the three, but you get what you pay for. It's lighter than the other modular helmets I've used, although certainly heavier than a non-modular design. It's also a bit louder than some other non-mods, but doesn't whistle at speed, which one of my other helmets did, and which would make it totally unusable. The integrated sunshade is fantastic, and, frankly, it's about dang time something like this was made available to riders. Pilots have had it for years, and there's probably more of us. One of the unexpected advantages to this has been the ability to ride with the visor all the way up in the heat, since the sunshade is blocking most of the wind from hitting me in the eyes. It has two 'down' positions - for me, those positions are "Just right" and "Cutting into the bridge of my nose". If you've got a smaller schnozz than I do (which seems likely) you might be able to use both positions. Mine has over 3,000 miles on it, in the summer, and so far, no funk, so the SilverCool system seems to be working well. Airflow is good with the vents open, but better, of course, with the visor in the first stop 'vent' position. I get very little fogging, and what little I do get is cleared by cracking the visor. Field of view seems pretty good for a standard visor. The only downside I've noted is that in the 'vent' position, the visor tends to rattle a bit. It seems like it's still attached securely, but it's irritating. August 1, 2014
better then expected This modular helmet was better than expected. Was not heavy, being able to use the shade visor riding into the sun was definitely worth it. Wore the helmet for about 6 hours on a Saturday and 5 hours on Sunday and no headaches or uncomfortable feelings. glad I bought it. My next step is to look for a progressive visor and peel aways July 25, 2014
Fits like and HJC, But... Lets keep this brief. The helmet fits like an HJC. If you are replacing one of their lids, this should feel similarly. It is definately noisy with wind and whistling, but I came from a standard full-face so I cannot compare this noise to other modulars. It does not bother me significantly but it would drive my wife bonkers. My primary GRIPE with this helmet is the fancy buit in sunglasses. They are pointless. I don't know about you but I wear sunglasses on sunny days, but these are so weak that I find myself squinting on overcast days. The best these shades can offer is a backup if you have the poor fortune to forget your sunglasses. August 18, 2014
Good value I bought this helmet to see if I would like a modular style, coming from a dual sport style helmet. I did. Though louder than others that I tested, the fit was fine and I experienced no fogging. Overall quality was fine. I did find it noisier than I would have liked, however I do not use earplugs. What we were looking for! This helmet has the style, features and fit we wanted and it was in a very affordable price range. July 21, 2014

A shopper asked: Would you consider this helmet quiet? Wind noise is main concern for me. Oct 5, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Antonio N: As Michael stated anything under about 60 mph and there isn't really that much wind noise, once you break about 70 mph you notice the wind noise. However, it isn't so loud you need ear plugs. I just came back from a short 2 hr ride (1 hr out / 1 hr back) and I wasn't too terribly bothered by it. Oct 22, 2013

Carl C: On a scale of 1 to10 i give the helmet a 6 on wind noise! Its not that bad but there is some noise. I rate this helmet overall at a 9! I love the helmet... it is very very comfortable and seems to be built very well and solid! Oct 10, 2013

Michael F: This is not a quiet helmet. But it isn't unusually loud either. I wear earplugs, so it doesn't bother me. I also use the Sena SMH10 Bluetooth system. At the highest volume, I hear everything fine even with earplugs. Oct 8, 2013

Michael P: This is my first helmet so I don't have much to compare it to. However, I found it to be not terribly quiet at over 65 mph. Below that the noise is acceptable. Oct 6, 2013

A shopper asked: When you talk about "Noise" do you mean engine and muffler noise or wind noise? I ride a very quite maxi scooter and have a HJC-IS 33 helmet. I love the helmet but the wind noise has me looking for a quieter helmet. May 24, 2014

Boris T: Wind noise. I think mine was just a little too big for me so that may have contributed to the wind noise... But it was so loud I couldn't hear my gps when riding at highway speeds. May 25, 2014

Daniel S: I'm not sure if the visors are the same fit tbh, the model I have has a slightly different visor to the cl but your best bet would be to contact hjc customer care and ask. Jan 14, 2014

A shopper asked: Will this helmet work with the SENA SMH 10 and can you get a dark tinted shield? Mar 30, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Michael F: Yes. This helmet works with the SENA SMH 10. The Bluetooth unit fits right behind the flip-up seam. The speakers fit in the recessed ear-pockets, and they don't affect the comfort of the helmet. May 18, 2013
Reply to Michael Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
