better then expected This modular helmet was better than expected. Was not heavy, being able to use the shade visor riding into the sun was definitely worth it. Wore the helmet for about 6 hours on a Saturday and 5 hours on Sunday and no headaches or uncomfortable feelings. glad I bought it. My next step is to look for a progressive visor and peel aways July 25, 2014
What we were looking for! This helmet has the style, features and fit we wanted and it was in a very affordable price range. July 21, 2014
Has everything I wanted in a modular helmet. Good solid helmet with great features and a reasonable price. July 14, 2014
couldn't ask for more in a helmet. Style, fit, and safety! This product is the complete package. I would recommend this helmet to anyone. This is a riders helmet. June 23, 2014
Modular on a budget Pros: Good price for a modular helmet Looks good Integrated flip down sunglasses Cons: Noisy Chin bar latch is often difficult to open Ventilation is minimal This is an OK helmet. In retrospect, I would have rather dropped a little more money and gotten something a bit nicer. June 9, 2014
Great if you can get the right fit. I walked in with a very specific issue: I wear glasses and so I needed a helmet with a sun visor as well as room enough for the glasses themselves. I ended up needing to go a size larger than I would have liked but because the helmet is so round I found the ear pieces of my glasses butting up against the back of the helmet thereby preventing them from fitting on my face. However, going up a size I gained the room but I also gained a little wiggle. That said, this helmet, even with the wiggle, still fits very tightly. It's heavier which may be a problem for longer rides but it also means that the helmet feels very secure. The construction also feels very solid, to the point where it's actually a little difficult to move the modular part of the helmet. The venting is good, but not great. But the problem I have is slight fogging. It's never bad enough to obstruct my view, but it does prove somewhat annoying. The helmet is also fairly loud, even at lower speeds (35-40 mph). The sun shield is nice, easy to put in place and retract; though because the retraction is spring loaded, the sound reverberates through the helmet (not bad, just weird). The only thing I would change about this helmet would be the chin strap. It's secure, but very long and can be very hard to strap up and take apart. Plus, the snapping pieces seem rather like they don't quite fit together properly and can be frustrating trying to get them to snap together. Either way, I do enjoy this helmet but I would not choose it again for the sole reason that sacrificing wiggle for eye glasses space should not have to be an option. Though, if I didn't have glasses and were able to get the right size, I would have no complaints. May 18, 2014
There are better modular helmets, but not at this price Got this for my girlfriend who wouldn't stand for anything but a modular. Got this one for its readiness to accept a bluetooth com. system. Great protection, flows air fairly well when you need it and stays pretty warm and undrafty when you don't. Since she has learned to make herself understood by raising the visor, banging on my back and shouting in my ear....I've decided to forego to comm system. May 12, 2014
This is a fantastic helmet This is my 3rd helmet I've purchased and I always keep with HJC. Really fantastic all around. May 5, 2014

A shopper asked: Would you consider this helmet quiet? Wind noise is main concern for me. Oct 5, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Antonio N: As Michael stated anything under about 60 mph and there isn't really that much wind noise, once you break about 70 mph you notice the wind noise. However, it isn't so loud you need ear plugs. I just came back from a short 2 hr ride (1 hr out / 1 hr back) and I wasn't too terribly bothered by it. Oct 22, 2013

Carl C: On a scale of 1 to10 i give the helmet a 6 on wind noise! Its not that bad but there is some noise. I rate this helmet overall at a 9! I love the helmet... it is very very comfortable and seems to be built very well and solid! Oct 10, 2013

Michael F: This is not a quiet helmet. But it isn't unusually loud either. I wear earplugs, so it doesn't bother me. I also use the Sena SMH10 Bluetooth system. At the highest volume, I hear everything fine even with earplugs. Oct 8, 2013

Michael P: This is my first helmet so I don't have much to compare it to. However, I found it to be not terribly quiet at over 65 mph. Below that the noise is acceptable. Oct 6, 2013

A shopper asked: When you talk about "Noise" do you mean engine and muffler noise or wind noise? I ride a very quite maxi scooter and have a HJC-IS 33 helmet. I love the helmet but the wind noise has me looking for a quieter helmet. May 24, 2014

Boris T: Wind noise. I think mine was just a little too big for me so that may have contributed to the wind noise... But it was so loud I couldn't hear my gps when riding at highway speeds. May 25, 2014

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Daniel S: I'm not sure if the visors are the same fit tbh, the model I have has a slightly different visor to the cl but your best bet would be to contact hjc customer care and ask. Jan 14, 2014

A shopper asked: Will this helmet work with the SENA SMH 10 and can you get a dark tinted shield? Mar 30, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
GTOBRUIN: Yes. This helmet works with the SENA SMH 10. The Bluetooth unit fits right behind the flip-up seam. The speakers fit in the recessed ear-pockets, and they don't affect the comfort of the helmet. May 18, 2013

Vier04: I don't know about the SENA SMH 10 question but it comes with a dark smoke shield. Apr 1, 2013
