I bought these gloves to replace a pair of old water proof gloves from another manufacturer that I bought years ago. I'm really pleased with this purchase.
I've found myself going to these gloves instead of my trusty deer skin gloves. They fit better and feel better. Even when the sky is clear and the temperature is headed to the upper 80's I like wearing these gloves. My hands come out of the gloves dry even in the warmer weather.
I've tested them in the rain and they keep my hands dry although the glove itself may get wet with time. So far I've ridden with them in temperatures from 49 to 91 degrees, both wet and dry.
These are my "goto" gloves.

My hands remain comfortable as the days heat increases to 75 degrees but my fingers do get a little cold when the temp drops to 45 degrees. The gloves allow heated grips to penetrate so the cold was not a big deal.
Best cold weather gloves I own.

I've had these for about a year now, they've held up without any problems. I use these when it's raining or when it's cold. Where i stay it can rain any day of the year so i would say i use these at least once a week.
Stiching in the glove is first class, there are not worn seams anywhere on the glove. It's comfy and the goretex liner is really good. When it rains, and i've been in some REALLY heavy rains with these, they get soaked but you stay bone dry. Now when you get off the bike and you take these off when you are wet, somehow water will get into the liner from the cuff. So unless you're certain you're done riding for the day, don't take these out as far as possible because once it gets moist inside and they get as uncomfortable as wearing wet gloves get.
Also, they are not meant to keep you warm (perfect for my all year round hot humid conditions) so if it does get cold you will feel your fingers get cold fast.
Since it's waterproof it doesn't vent at all but i suppose thats a given with all waterproof gloves.
Protection wise, i think the leather palm is good, not too thick you still have good feel of the controls but of course not as much as kangaroo leather gloves. The fingers are a little thick but definitely not as bad as winter gloves. There isn't a hard knuckle protector that most gloves have, it's a soft cushiony thing but at this price one would kinda expect it.
Unfortunately for me, i'm an 8.5 and i ordered an 8, so it's a little tight in my left hand but i supposed i got used to it. Wish they made half sizes though! Good typical held quality!

HeldWhile most gloves sold in the US are offered in alpha sizes (Small, Medium, Large, etc), Held gloves are sold in numeric glove sizes. The most accurate way to choose a glove size is to measure your hands using the directions and charts below. To get an idea of what Held Glove sizes correspond to in typical american gloves, a conversion guide is included below just to get you started in the right direction.

Held Size Estimated Men's Size
6 – 6 1/2 XS
7 – 7 1/2 SM
8 – 8 1/2 MD
9 – 9 1/2 LG
10 XL
11 2XL
12 3XL

Steps to Measure For Held Gloves

  1. Use a flexible measuring tape to measure your hand in inches.
  2. Measure around your hand, behind the knuckles, not including the thumb.
  3. Take an accurate, snug measurement.
  4. Measure both hands and use the largest measurement.
  5. Compare your measurement to the size charts below

Held Sizing Guide

Held Glove Fitment Tips

Held gloves should fit snugly when new. They will stretch out during break in and form to fit your hand.

If you have long fingers, but a relatively narrow palm you should order a size up as the size chart does not account for finger length.

Please note, if your hand measures toward the upper limit of the size measurements, the gloves will fit very snugly. If you prefer that your gloves do not fit so snugly, you may want to select the next size larger. Held kangaroo gloves are a very precise fit. Because Held gloves are such a fitted glove, many people enjoy the snug fit. This is actually very comfortable, with few wrinkles and little crumpling in the palm area.

A properly fitted Held will "fit you like a glove".
