Love the glove Had a pair of Held "Steves" that needed replacing and I liked the step up in protection of the hard knuckle guard. The Steves were size 8.5 and these 9's are still a little tight so I would say the sizes run small. haven't had them long but I'm really happy so far. I requested an email alert as the gloves weren't available at first and to their credit Revzilla honored the original price and delivered quickly. All in all a very good experience. July 1, 2014
Beautiful gloves, if they fit I was excited to step up to some premium grade gloves, did my research and Held ticked every box. I measured my hands according to the size chart, and ordered a 10. Now, I know I've got large hands, but they're not giant troll size, they're just big. But I'd measured them accurately, so it should have been fine... Couldn't even squeeze into them. My brother-in-law has similar, but slightly smaller hands and they fit him very nicely. Ok - so they don't fit, and Revzilla are out of 11's. Sad for me, but good for whoever gets these - because they look amazing, they feel fantastic, and the quality of the build is immediately obvious. I can't wait to get my hands into another pair! Top Quality from Held These are amazing gloves in every way! On my 2nd pair now, as 1st one went thru a get-off. They are still OK, but I decided to replace them anyway, they fully protected me as my hands were sliding down the pavement! These gloves just FEEL right, perfect fit, design, and great style. I ride a sport tourer (FJR), these are in between a race and touring glove. A bit sporty for sure. Very well thought out protection and design features. November 28, 2013
Nice glove for the price. Bought these back in March. At first they were a little hard to get on and off but after several rides and some rain they broke in nicely. The kangaroo leather on the palm is a very nice feature. It allows me to use my iPhone 5 with the gloves on. I have ridden in 100 degree weather and they flowed air decently while moving. I originally bought these to use for the track but have used them for day to day riding. One last thing, I find the rubber wiper on the left index finger to be some what useless. Overall they are a nice glove for the price. October 13, 2013
Bee's knee's... This is a major upgrade from my previous glove (Icon’s Fourty Niner glove). I ordered these out of paranoia of scraping up my wrist and that I will be doing a few track days in the future (tracks normally require gauntlet gloves). Out of the packaging there were a few strands coming off of the stitching which im sure will be a problem in the future (hopefully no time soon). For the most part I like this glove and would purchase them again when I'm in the market for a new set. Pro’s: Feels like a quality glove, sturdy. Great exterior padding. The kangaroo skin on the palm gives you so much more feeling in your fingers. Ventilation is ok, havent experienced any sweat after long rides. Great coverage over the wrist. Con’s: Very tight for the first few rides. I still have a heck of a time pulling the left glove off. (Im assuming my left hand is slightly bigger than my right). October 2, 2013
Good fit for larger hands. Loaded with tech. Having a size 12 hand makes buying high-quality gloves hard. I've had Held gloves for over 10 years now alongside Alpinestars and Held seems to know "American" hands best. I tried a pair of Alpinestar SP1 in the largest size offered, but alas, there were still issues with my "meathooks." The pre-curve of the EVOs is very good with minimal bunching in the palms. Because these are not lined, getting them on and off during a long day becomes harder as they become sweat-soaked (or just wet), but they provide a direct connection with the bike! The external seams on the fingers give you an immediately comfortable fit and it only gets better with break-in miles. I was caught in rain on a couple of rides and got NO dye bleeding. As the gloves dried they molded to my hands and are now like a second skin. One drawback of external seams; manipulation of buttons and small controls takes some diligence. The main switchgear is no problem. The double cuff closure is effective and retention seems to be good with the wrist strap comfortablely tight. They breathe well via the ventilated panels between the fingers without compromising protection. Beware...the superfabric on the palm heels will scratch paint if you are prone to resting your hand on the tank. It's not immediate, but it can happen. The temperature during my riding with these gloves so far has been 54-88 degrees (f) and they have been comfortable. I'm not so sure about my color selection, yet. The white parts may not stand up to road grime very well, but the contrast of the red/white/black increases "conspicuity" in my opinion, if only in daylight. I expect long life with these gloves, as I got from my other Helds. September 21, 2013
Great glove for the price I've been wearing these gloves for about 300 miles now and so far they are pretty great gloves. I previously owned Held Pole Positions and those were great gloves had them for close to three years and nearly 20,000 miles of general use and track use combined. They started to get worn out so I've updated to these gloves. Quality is pretty good (Although the first pair I got the thumb was shorter on one glove by a significant amount, but Revzilla took care of that quickly). The feel with the Kangaroo palms is, as always, excellent. External seams is also a big plus for me. The strapping system is pretty nice and convenient. Air Flow is great, not quite as good as the Pole Positions but still good enough well into the 90s. I feel these will last a long time and hold up well in the event of a get off. Overall highly recommended, you'll be hard pressed to find a better "entry level" track glove. July 25, 2013
Held is the Best! Period! Best darn gloves on the market. My second pair of Held's and they're excellent. Knuckle protection is exactly where it should be for comfort and protection. The look is fabulous. I've warn Arlen Ness, Alpine Stars, Olympia, and Dianese. Held are just the best. July 21, 2013

L A: Protection. Great glove. Stylish. Great tactile feel. Dec 2, 2013
John D: Replacement summer glove for my pair of Held Agadairs which are fantastic and have 18K miles on them with only some wear showing along both index fingers. Held has been my glove of choice for all seasons and riding styles over the past 2 decades, and I am a firm believer that head & hand protection are worth the expense for quality, comfort, and protection. Jeff F: I have a pair of these that I LOVE. I went down in a low speed get off and had them on. They are only slightly damaged, but I am replacing them with a new pair. Nov 16, 2013

A shopper asked: RE: Held Evo Thrux - considering buying - would be first time for Held - curious about sizing. Sized hand at 9.5-9.75 - should I go with their Large or E. Large? Have Cortech Adrenaline 2 and am comfortable in their large. Any help appreciated. - Jeff Jun 24, 2014

Christopher O: These gloves run on the small size. I am usually a size M in everything, which tends to be a bit oversized on me. I measured my hand and am a size 9 in Held gloves. I ordered the size 9 and, like others, found that they were definitely tighter than my last pair of gloves (SPIDI) but they broke in nicely. They are now perfect. So expect a tight fit at first but trust their scale and the capacity for the glove to "break-in". Jun 24, 2014

Jeffrey A: Hi, I typically wear a 4X in other brand gloves but this pair of Held I wear are 3X (12)
They are comfortable to me but as for as durability and long lasting I do not know....yet.

Stefan T: The Held EVO glove are a great glove.
As far as size I have short fingers so the large fit my hand but was a hair long in the fingers. Other than that I love them.

Clint K: I wear an XL, and also in my old alpinestars gloves. If you wear a L in another brand, I would stay with that. These run pretty true to size. Jun 24, 2014

A shopper asked: is this a beefier version of the awesome air stream? looks to have a more significant gauntlet and protection higher up while still flowing a lot of air? Jan 20, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
snowjam: i went to held usa to try on gloves with the intention of buying the air streams. when i asked the salesman about them he described them as "cheap chinese garbage" (although the evo thrux are made in pakistan) and directed me to the evo thrux. essentally, these are more track oriented and more protective. in order to get some venting with the thrux, i have to take my hand off the handle bars and hold it out from behind the fairing but thats no biggie to me.

if you are worried about heat, go with the held agadir (airstreams < agadir < thrux). they are more protective than the air streams.

just one mans opinion

A shopper asked: Would these gloves be warm in about 35 degree weather, and are they water proof? Sep 4, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
RussellM: I would say no to both. My fingers go numb after 5 minutes at 5C (40F) but I may be a bit sensitive!
I've found they are water resistant in light rain but after 30 minutes of moderate rain at city speeds (ie. slow) they are soaked through.

JONATHAN N: They would not be warm in 35 degree weather...only comfortabke down to about 60 IMHO. They are water resistant in my two experiences of riding in about 20 minutes of rain. Sep 19, 2012

Steps to Measure For Held Gloves

  • Use a flexible measuring tape to measure your hand in inches.
  • Measure around your hand, behind the knuckles, not including the thumb.
  • Take an accurate, snug measurement.
  • Measure both hands and use the largest measurement.
  • Compare your measurement to the size charts below

Held Sizing Guide

Held Glove Fitment Tips

Held gloves should fit snugly when new. They will stretch out during break in and form to fit your hand.

If you have long fingers, but a relatively narrow palm you should order a size up as the size chart does not account for finger length.

Please note, if your hand measures toward the upper limit of the size measurements, the gloves will fit very snugly. If you prefer that your gloves do not fit so snugly, you may want to select the next size larger. Held kangaroo gloves are a very precise fit. Because Held gloves are such a fitted glove, many people enjoy the snug fit. This is actually very comfortable, with few wrinkles and little crumpling in the palm area.

A properly fitted Held will "fit you like a glove".
