Givi Monokey Trekker Case

46 liter or 33 liter case constructed from aluminium with black plastic and top opening.

Available in two versions, with a capacities of 46 LT (TRK46N) and 33 LT (TRK33N), the Givi TREKKER bags are the perfect solution for the bikes equipped with exhaust pipes on only one side. By affixing the smaller case to the side with the exhaust pipe and the larger on the other side, in many cases you can solve the issue of asymmetry (a problem that you might find using traditional side bags). Thanks to special selectors placed inside the bags, you can convert each version to either to fully open the entire lid or only the uppermost smaller opening (very practical for quickly accessing items from the bag, avoiding any ill timed spilling of the whole contents). Elaborately trimmed in steel foil, these bags are not necessarily specific to just enduro bikes, they can also be a luxurious accessory on the touring bikes.

Sold each.

I love this box Clean look, lots of storage space, don't even notice it is on the bike when driving. I am a commuter in Seattle and needed something that could keep my gear dry during our long and wet winters... This box is definitely made for it. September 15, 2014
Excellent Value Easy to install and reasonable price. Glad I bought the 46L and not the larger 52L it would have been too large for my needs. No problems with the key locking assembly as noted by others but it does take a little force to engage the rear connector. September 1, 2014
Exactly as advertised I use my KLR to commute and I wanted a simple 'trunk' to put my work gear in and to stuff my helmet and jacket in when needed. The top / or side configuration option was key for me. I am perfectly happy with this case, though I may convert it to a side case and opt for a 52 ltr topcase. Thankfully the Trekker makes this easy. One quirk is the closure mechanism can be finicky. I've had it jam a few times since it has to catch first on one side before actually latching on the key side. If you miss that first catch, you have to force it to get the latch to release. Its a user error, but they kinda set us up for it. Minor complaint though. I definitely recommend the case and will be buying at least one more Monokey in the future. June 7, 2014
Great product! Givi trekker luggage is awesome. Givi is very proud of their products as you can tell by the price. However, Revzilla has the best price available. Fast shipping and easy returns! Thanks Revzilla. May 19, 2014
Quality cases with great storage capacity A good quality set of cases that complement my Givi rack system and Altrider rack. Fit and finish is excellent and the look suits my 2012 Tiger 800. May 12, 2014
Nice case I already have the regular 46 litre rounded case with mount as a top box and have admired this one for being more stylish. I am not a fan of metal top cases I prefer something with rounded corners made of plastic in event of an accident. This fits the bill. Though smaller the shape is more usable than the more egg shap offerings. The option to fully open or partially open is nice. You can mash rain gear or a sweater in there without having to worry about difficult closing every time you access it. Could make a very nice side bag for street applications. Not sure about really aggressive dual sport applications but at least as strong as the BMW vario cases. I also like the central handle which makes popping it off for a motel room much better than hauling the big egg. Better two when you use it as luggage in a hotel. The old egg shape is not steady on a table or such. My only gripe is to latch or unlock the main latch requires a key. I don't really need to lock it when I am with the bike. Way too many times with this design I forget and leave the key in the lock. Fortunately it does not ever fall out. I just get concerned citizens trying to tell me a key is hanging off the back. On another bike the top box key was lost a decade ago and works just fine. They really should design it so key can be removed in the latched position without the lock activated. Overlooking that one defect am I glad I bought It? Yes January 20, 2014
Easy mounting with good storage Ive only owned this 46L trekker case for about a month now. I am using it as a top case on my 2013 GS and I am happy with it so far. It seems pretty tough and is fairly light. The lock requires the key to stay in the cylinder while locking. You cannot take the key out and then close the latch. Not a big deal. I have Touratech panniers and wanted to save some money on the topcase so I bought the trekker. I saved close to $400 over the Touratech topcase and that makes me happy, especially after receiving the trekker case. It does everything a good topcase should without emptying your wallet. December 2, 2013
Logically engineered by being durable, easy to use and good-looking. Buying these cases came after several months of researching what would work best on my Triumph Tiger 800. Cost was a consideration as well as side cases that would comfortably fit what I carry for rides going for several days. I've had them for more than a month and they've been on several two-day rides. They did what I wanted. They are durable, easy to remove and install and the flip top makes getting at things like a camera effortless. I did modify them by painting the aluminum flat black. The aluminum looked out of place on the Tiger. November 20, 2013

A shopper asked: Can TRK33N hold 2 full face helmets? Dec 8, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (2) No (0)
Mark W: The Givi Trekker comes in three sizes; 52, 46, and 33 liter. Of these, only the 52 will hold two full-face helmets. I use the 46 liter as a top case and it will only hold one full-face helmet. There is quite a bit of space left over but not enough for another lid unless you have a half-shell. I don’t have the 52 liter case but I understand that it does not have the dual-opening system that the 33 and 46 liter cases feature. Dec 8, 2013

Jim G: I have never tried but I don't think that they would. I put a partition in mine to keep things organized and from moving around. Givi has a bigger Trekker case that should. Jeff K asked: I see this has a measured length of 20.7" long. Is that a outside or inside measurement? I have a tent with poles that measures 20.4" long and need to ensure they would fit inside. Thanks! Apr 27, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Robert S: Must be the outside measurement. The inside width is around 18.5" so you would not be able to fit the poles straight across, but they will fit diagonally. The inside diagonal is just over 21". Apr 27, 2014
Reply to Robert Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
David S: The widest part of the interior is just under 19". You might be able to fit the poles if you place them diagonally across the center, but I suspect the full tent might be a problem. Apr 27, 2014

Leo F: When I placed my order, I had to order individual pieces (Side cases & Top Case) - the locks were not keyed the same but there was a conversion kit included in the side case that allowed for a new, matching, cylinder to be replaced in the the top case.

Brian H: I have 3 Givi 33 Trekker cases on my 2012 Tenere. I used the Givi side case mounts for the ones used as side bags and the mounts sold by Revsilla onto my Altrider rear rack for the top case. I also mounted the Givi backrest onto the top case for my wife. The cases, backrest, and quick release mounting system are great. I probably would buy the larger top case if I had it to do again as I can't put my full coverage helmet in the 33L case. I am very happy with the complete Givi set-up for the Tenere in both quality and value. Excellent fit. Performed great on a 2K trip. Nov 15, 2013

Nicholas B: Congrats on the bike!

I had to buy a key kit for mine so that they all matched. I needed the Black key kit (as opposed to the red). Customer service put together an altrider mounting kit for my Tiger 800xc. Also, the backrest and luggage rack are a nice addition but keep in mind they do add a bit of weight to the case. Overall I really like the givi Trekker cases. Just did a 4000mi trip and they worked great!

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Frank d: It doesn't look like Revzilla carries a Givi kit that will work on the G650GS to mount side cases (but maybe I'm wrong?) but such things do exist from other manufacturers who make side racks that are compatible with Givi (usually after buying a small adapter kit). They function as a quick release the same way Givi cases quick-release from a top rack or any other side rack made by Givi. SW-MOTECH comes to mind as one example that I found, that are sold elsewhere as the other reply said. Aug 30, 2013

Paul C: I have these on my Tiger 800XC mounted with SW-Motech Quick-Lock racks (bought elsewhere). The racks come off with a quarter turn of 4 attachment points on each side. I can remove the bags and racks from the bike in 1-2 minutes. I'm really happy with the racks and Trekka cases. Aug 30, 2013

Faisal A asked: This is the first time for me to by my motorcycle bags. I ride Honda NC700X and I'm confused with how to choose. If I buy the rack for my bike (top and sides) will all Givi bags simply fit on it?
And also does Revzilla sell the side bags as two or single bag?
Thank you guys in advance.

Brian H: I installed Givi Trekkers 33L (3 of them, the top with a backrest) on a Yamaha Tenere 1200 and the brackets were excellent with a special tool provided that allowed even the brackets to be removed in less than a few minutes! I left the brackets in place at all times though. The cases can be switched between all positions (Left, Right, or Top Case). My only suggestion would be to get a Larger Top Case to enable you to secure a full coverage helmet without having to carry the helmet around. If I remember correctly the other size Givi Trekker case is a 46L. I think running the same size on both sides is fine as there isn't that great of difference L to R and I didn't like the width of the 46L cases, plus i can switch cases around when traveling or just running a side one on top when solo. This allows you to try multiple positions such as a wide one on the non-exhaust side and a narrow one on the exhaust side to see if you like the set up, but not lock you in as you can switch them around. The quality of the cases was great and I consider them superior to the factory OEM cases. Try to buy all 3 together and order the same key lock set. Thanks, Tom Aug 3, 2014

Mitchell B: I bought an Altrider luggage rack for my F650GS. VERY PLEASED. Also considered the MOTO OVERLAND, a little larger.
The Altrider looks best and comes with Givi attachments. Or you can use it as a plain rack. The BMW Sport Tailbag slides on the rack and makes a good alternative

A shopper asked: I have a 2003 BMW F650GS with Givi E21 bags and mounts. I'd like to upgrade to the trekker bags...would my existing mounting hardware be compatible? Sep 23, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
RevZilla: Provided that you have the clearance for the Trekker case, then you should be able to use your existing PL188 side mounts since both the E21 and the Trekker cases use a Monokey mounting system. Generally if you stick with the same case type (IE Monokey or Monolock) then you can use the same mounts. The exception would be the V35 side cases, which have their own special mounting system. Also, some top cases require different Monorack arms as well, so be sure to call our Gear Geeks if you have any doubts when trying to add a top case.

Note that all Monokey products use bike model and year specific racks, so be sure to find the right model to work with your bike.
