Givi Monokey Trekker Case Videos

Givi Monokey Trekker Pannier

The Givi Monokey Trekker series is a premium lineup of adventure touring luggage. Robust thermoplastic construction features anodized aluminum paneling that compliments the look of any modern touring motorcycle. A single key is used to secure the lid and unlatch the case from your motorcycle. Bike-specific Givi luggage racks sold separately.

Available in two versions, with a capacities of 46 liters TRK46N and 33 liters TRK33N, the Givi TREKKER bags are the perfect solution for the bikes equipped with exhaust pipes on only one side. By affixing the smaller case to the side with the exhaust pipe and the larger on the other side, in many cases you can solve the issue of asymmetry (a problem that you might find using traditional side bags). Thanks to special selectors placed inside the bags, you can convert each version to either to fully open the entire lid or only the uppermost smaller opening (very practical for quickly accessing items from the bag, avoiding any ill timed spilling of the whole contents).

Sold each.

Givi Monokey Trekker Case
Works well with my 2009 BMW F800GS. Mounted the both the 33L and 46L for side case panniers. Really like the flexibility of both a clamshell or top open.

Works well with almost anything...
Great top case. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Revzilla matched the cheapest price that I could find on the internet.

Holds my full face helmet, riding jacket, and riding pants. Could easily hold two full face helmets. Easy on, easy off with one button. Stable and secure with no rattles.

Very easy to install. Used the Givi E250 Universal rack with Givi SR131 luggage rack to install on my Vespa GTS 300.

Lot of bang for a lot of bucks
I was on the fence about going Givi or going bullet-proof, full welded aluminum. I decided to get the product for the life I live rather than the life I dream...I commute 250+ days a year on my F800GS, and I joy ride as much as my wife lets me (rarely). So, I opted for the Trekker 46 mounted to the E194. Fit and finish top notch. Unit is very secure and I'm not worried about losing it in any situation short of a crash. Will it survive a drop on the trail? Maybe, but it pops on and off in 5 seconds, keeps my stuff dry and looks good. $250-$275 would be a better price point for this case, but you get what you pay for.

2 stars for Givi overall, 5 stars for Revzilla
Bought one each 33 & 46 liter, and the 52 liter Trekker top case along with the GIVI racks, aluminum top plate, and liner bags for all. I love the clever, useful design of the partial or full clam shell openings and the quick, easy, and generally sturdy attachment / detachment system. The racks are also of a clever design, strong, and super easy to attach / remove, though cheaply painted rather than powder coated. The cases look really spiffy on my 2014 R1200 GS. Construction and durability overall I’d say is as good as any non-aluminum box pannier systems FOR PAVEMENT USE. I plan to use some tough soft luggage (over the GIVI racks) for my off pavement adventures and the Trekkers for road trips. I did find a few spoonfuls of water in both Trekker side cases after the bike was parked at a hotel during a gentle overnight rain with the cases locked tight. Had taken the nice GIVI liner bags inside for the night and was unable to determine how the water had worked its way inside the cases.
Also, if I had it to do over, I’d get the all black cases, at least for the sides, because the silver is marred big time by even minor scuffing or scratching.
Otherwise, I’d give these 4 stars, except that I had to order six GIVI cases to get 3 good ones. One came with a dent, two arrived with the lock/latch mechanisms fallen apart within their housings in the cases. Either I was quite unlucky or GIVI has terrible quality control. I was mad enough to return everything with a GIVI label until I was able to determine that the cases and their lock mechanisms CAN be adequately durable and reliable when they’re properly assembled. A bit of thread locker around the nut holding the lock assembly together is a good precaution. Bottom line, I recommend these with reservations, as above.
Five stars for Revzilla, in any event. Fast initial deliveries, no hassle, helpful returns, quick post-return credits to my account. Bravo Revzilla!

Good storage for my NC700X
I installed this as a top case on my NC700X just before I went on my Pike's Peak trip. The installation was straight forward and the case performed well on the trip. I have not had it long, but it looks like it will hold up well over time.

As advertised
I had two trekker (33L) already, got the 46L as the top case. As advertised.. Durable, nice finish. I changed the lock fairly easily so all my three paniers now use the same key.

Monokey is a great system by a great company.. And they know it. This is is not cheap, but definitely good quality (ahh, Italians! :)

Great product, great service
I've been looking for a reason to shop at Revzilla and this Givi case fit the bill. The price was the best I could find and the delivery was not only free, it was really fast. The install was pretty straight forward. The side clips on the case get a little sticky, but they are secure.

I just took my first adventure ride this weekend and left my panniers at home and only took this case. I bought the liner that goes in it and it fit, two shirts, under stuff, socks, my laptop, cords and a few other items not problem. I took the bag into the hotel which freed up the case to carry my camera equipment and other items for the day. I almost wish I had gone with these as side panniers, but I have already purchased and install those. I am considering buying additional Givi top cases because they will fit the stand. When I do, Revzilla will be my first stop.

Easy mounting with good storage
Ive only owned this 46L trekker case for about a month now. I am using it as a top case on my 2013 GS and I am happy with it so far. It seems pretty tough and is fairly light. The lock requires the key to stay in the cylinder while locking. You cannot take the key out and then close the latch. Not a big deal. I have Touratech panniers and wanted to save some money on the topcase so I bought the trekker. I saved close to $400 over the Touratech topcase and that makes me happy, especially after receiving the trekker case. It does everything a good topcase should without emptying your wallet.

Versatile and Sturdy, good looking too.
I bought a set of these, 46 and 33 litre, for my KTM 1190 Adventure. The main reason is that I can use either as a top case (when I commute or am running an errand) or as two side cases when I am traveling. (I use a Ortlieb water proof bag instead of a topcase when I travel). They were easy to install, and I like the look with my bike (at least to my taste). They are durable (they kept my bike from getting a scratch when I dropped it).

I bought the Givi PLR side luggage racks to hold them, and they fit fine, although they are a tad wide (41"). As a result I have rubbed them against some posts, and it does scratch them, leaving me to wonder if the silver color might have been better for that use case.

Nevertheless, very happy with the quality, and the versatility is exactly what I was looking for, given that it probably saved me 200 bucks not having to buy a separate top case.

Always owned Givi cases. My old 52liter top box should have given up a long time ago......still hanging in there. So these cases were the logical choice for me. Best design feature: converts from top loading case to full fold down in seconds. Great purchase.
David U on Aug 28, 2015
Not too expensive (like the BMW brand). Not too big (like the 52L). Not too small (like the 33L.) Rock solid mounting.

Can TRK33N hold 2 full face helmets?
A shopper on Dec 8, 2013
BEST ANSWER: The Givi Trekker comes in three sizes; 52, 46, and 33 liter. Of these, only the 52 will hold two full-face helmets. I use the 46 liter as a top case and it will only hold one full-face helmet. There is quite a bit of space left over but not enough for another lid unless you have a half-shell. I don’t have the 52 liter case but I understand that it does not have the dual-opening system that the 33 and 46 liter cases feature.
I see this has a measured length of 20.7" long. Is that a outside or inside measurement? I have a tent with poles that measures 20.4" long and need to ensure they would fit inside. Thanks!
Jeff K on Apr 27, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Must be the outside measurement. The inside width is around 18.5" so you would not be able to fit the poles straight across, but they will fit diagonally. The inside diagonal is just over 21".
Does this come with everything needed to affix to my bike? harness etc..
A C on May 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: the GiVI box comes with two keys and a set of four rubber mounting cushions.
there are many options as for the rack you will use and you need to buy a specific set.
there is a mounting adapter set here at revzilla that I also bought in the past for my tail plate and it fits perfectly.
Does the case(lid) have a lock on it or is the lock only for mounting and un-mounting purposes?
A C on May 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: There is one Key that operates two individual buttons.
One button (silver) releases the case from its mounting and the second button (black) , operates the latch to lock / un-lock the case.
I have a set installed on a 2014 Yamaha Super Tenere .
So far, I rode the thing for 48000 miles and the cases continue watertight and almost no rattle.( I added some self adhesive rubber/plastic studs to the mounting frame on the bike and nothing moves shimmies or rattles anymore).
I park the bike outside in rain snow and sun.
I never remove the cases.
I have a set of four cases: two 33 Liters one 46 Liters and one 52 liters.
The 52 liters case is to wide to be used on the sides, and makes the bike very sensible to lateral winds.
I only use it for short grocery runs and such.
I use Sw-Motech quick-Lock evo for the side mounts and a Sw-Motech Steel Toprack.
So far i didn't manage to break any part of it, cases Locks or mounts.
I don't "baby" any of it, its supposed to be utilitarian and as such, I treat it.( same with the bike, I beat the crap out of it and it takes it without bittching.)
Is there a single SKU for combo packs? i.e. two 33-liter cases and one 46-liter case? I just want to ensure that all three cases are coded for a single key.
A shopper on Feb 3, 2014
BEST ANSWER: When I placed my order, I had to order individual pieces (Side cases & Top Case) - the locks were not keyed the same but there was a conversion kit included in the side case that allowed for a new, matching, cylinder to be replaced in the the top case.

Cheers,

Leo Fisher

Looking for Givi top cas mounting kit (SRA2101) Used to mount Givi TRK46N to yamaha XT1200Z. Don't see it on the website. Do you have SRA2101?
A shopper on Nov 15, 2013
BEST ANSWER: I have 3 Givi 33 Trekker cases on my 2012 Tenere. I used the Givi side case mounts for the ones used as side bags and the mounts sold by Revsilla onto my Altrider rear rack for the top case. I also mounted the Givi backrest onto the top case for my wife. The cases, backrest, and quick release mounting system are great. I probably would buy the larger top case if I had it to do again as I can't put my full coverage helmet in the 33L case. I am very happy with the complete Givi set-up for the Tenere in both quality and value. Excellent fit. Performed great on a 2K trip.
Just picked up my 2013 multistrada touring with givi side cases. What do I need to add a givi trekker top case (46l)? Can I use the extra tumbler that came with my givi cases? Thanks
A shopper on Sep 2, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Congrats on the bike!

I had to buy a key kit for mine so that they all matched. I needed the Black key kit (as opposed to the red). Customer service put together an altrider mounting kit for my Tiger 800xc. Also, the backrest and luggage rack are a nice addition but keep in mind they do add a bit of weight to the case. Overall I really like the givi Trekker cases. Just did a 4000mi trip and they worked great!
Looking at a pair of Givi Trekka 33Ltr side cases to fit a 2013 BMW G650GS Sertao.

Which fitting kit will I need for this ?

Can I get a rapid release rack ?

Thanks
A shopper on Aug 29, 2013
BEST ANSWER: It doesn't look like Revzilla carries a Givi kit that will work on the G650GS to mount side cases (but maybe I'm wrong?) but such things do exist from other manufacturers who make side racks that are compatible with Givi (usually after buying a small adapter kit). They function as a quick release the same way Givi cases quick-release from a top rack or any other side rack made by Givi. SW-MOTECH comes to mind as one example that I found, that are sold elsewhere as the other reply said.
Does the 33 fit a medium helmet?
Ed C on Aug 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes it should, I've had 2xl helmets in here with a gopro on the front and a powerbank on the back.
Are the hinges on this made out of plastic? I ask because somebody burned through the hinges of my B33NMK and I'd rather that not happen again.
A shopper on Sep 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes... The hinges are plastic, but they are internal and covered by the top lip edge so you can't see them. This isn't a "knock it off a bolder while adventure riding Everest" kinda case (aka... touratech). For my use on a Hyperstrada -95% street- it has worked out well. I really think giving some idiot about 5 or 10 minutes with a Dremel and carbide cut off wheel will open just about any case on the market, or destroy your bike trying. The nice thing is it comes off of, and locks onto to the bike in mere seconds. If I'm in a sketchy area I either stay near the bike or just take it with..... Hope this helped!
