It does what it does well Yep this holds your Monokey top case securely in place. But just like every other piece of motorcycle luggage, it is way overpriced. $60 for a slab of plastic and a few nuts and bolts is a good deal - if you are the plastic salesman. October 30, 2014
Good design, perfect fit with rails and case. Product performs exactly as it should. Fits nicely on the appropriate rails and snug with the Monokey case. October 21, 2014
Great product Though a little on the expensive side, as Givi products tend to be, the monokey plate makes for a super quick attachment or detachment of the top case. The hold is very strong when the case is attached. It even looks pretty good when the case is off the bike. Not an eyesore at all! August 5, 2013
May 13, 2013
Excellent delivery time- exceeded my expectations! Product took some loosening of all the bolts to fit the plate (I used the Givi 1111FZ Side Arms) and all and all fine piece of kit. The one thing that impressed me the most though was the delivery time. Exceptional. I ordered on Sunday evening and it was here by Tuesday afternoon. Free shipping and almost next day? I'm very satisfied. January 14, 2013
This product is easy to install. It is a good product and easy to install. It is very quick dalivery. December 22, 2012
Nice plate (?) What can you say -- you need a unique Monokey or Monorack plate, depending on the type of case you have, and this is it! Very well made, just like the rack that goes with it -- sturdy, heavy-duty, should last many years. Only gripe is how expensive these systems are, after you spend $200-300 for the case itself. Need it for Givi topcase setup It does what it's meant to. With the arms for my bike, it was easy to install and now I have plenty of storage on my bike. February 1, 2012

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Stephen H: It was recommended as the only fitting for the Givi 55 Litre Maxima top Box that was strong enough and worked with the specified sidearm brackets. Oct 13, 2014
Luc B: It fit on my versys 2013 Jul 15, 2014
Eric G: It was required for the top box I purchased. Jul 14, 2014
Sean W: Does the job. Jun 19, 2014
Pavel A: No other option to mount top case for my Honda NC700X Mar 20, 2014
Rahul D: This is great. Quality workmanship from Givi. I wish they would make the hole for the electrical wiring rather than make us make it ourselves. Nov 13, 2013
A S: I chose this because its the correct mount for the Monokey system cases and I had ordered a V46 Tech. That said, this mount goes on super easy and is quite secure once you tighten down the bolts. The whole thing took me maybe 15 minutes to get on the arms I had already installed. Just one thingâ??the 445FZ arms came with hardware for attaching this mount, and I'm not sure why since the M5 comes with its own hardware that works perfectly with the 445FZ. Nov 10, 2013
Johnnie B: Givi equipment is great! Nov 4, 2013
Daniel R: For the Trekker series. Oct 9, 2013
Mitchel K: Secures topcase very well Sep 10, 2013
Ike V: This is a required item to be able to mount the tail bag. Givi has a good reputation and I have a buddy that has a Givi tail bag on his bike and loves it. Aug 21, 2013

Daniel W: No. You just have to bolt the sidearms in, which is done underneath the seat with pre-existing holes. Installation takes all of five minutes. Jul 26, 2014

Faisal A: thank you :) Jul 26, 2014
Brendan M: You need to to also by the arms that go with it. But no there is no drilling. Installing it can be a pain as it is really tight in terms of the tolerances, but a little paitence and time and I got everything installed great and now really enjoy my maxia 55 top case. I then added the the side racks after and added the 20L top loaders and it is a great setup. Enjoy. Jul 27, 2014

Shawn K: Sorry,

I do not have an FZ series bike.

I had a Ninja 1000.

For the Givi plate you need to also have the luggage rack installed first. Then the Monokey plate is mounted on top of the luggage rack.

I did not have to drill anything. You must buy the Givi luggage rack for your bike in order for the Plate to be mounted.

William S: No drilling is required if you use the Givi mounting bracket that is specific to your bike. To mount it otherwise will probably need to drill if your bike has a place to mount it. Jul 26, 2014

Brad K: I had an '04 FZ6, I used the 351FZ arms and M5 plate, used the with Givi E55 Tech Monokey Topcase. Worked very well.

The M5M is for Monolock cases. The M5 is for Monokey cases. Match the plate to the type of case you plan to use.

The Givi V46 is a Monokey case, so you'll want the M5.

Edgar G: Hi there

According to your specs you first must make sure your Givi V46 is Monolock or Monokey system.

Once you are sure, Monolock system is for the M5 plate and Monokey System is for the M5M plate.

Hope to have helped

Edgar

Nick A: Sandi, I purchased the M5 and have been using it reliably for the past 2 years. I'm not familiar with the M5M so I can't give you any insight there. Oct 1, 2014

Wayne J: On my '05 FZ6 I have the 351FZ arms and an E45 topcase, which use the M5 Monokey rack -- can't say for sure yours is the same, but probably. Oct 1, 2014

A S asked: I already have a Givi Monolock case on my bike. I am thinking about upgrading to the E55 series, which is Monokey. Givi customer service told me the E710 bracket I have should work but I'll need to replace JUST this plate.

I was hoping someone here could confirm please that I don't have to replace the whole bracket adapter that I put on my Piaggio MP3 500ie. I just need to remove the Monolock plate and install this Monokey plate.

Am I right, close, or off? :)

Thanks.

Nick A: That is correct. The base plate will be the interface to your new topcase. It's a three part combination, the rack mount must match the bike, the baseplate must match the topcase. Jul 10, 2014

Rahul P: I think you are OK, listening to the Givi Customer service rep. The rack is bike specific, so there really is only one Givi rack made for the bike. The bracket is to allow interface between the rack and the topbox. The bracket coincides with the system - monokey or monolock. i recommend purchasing the M5 plate to hook up your E55 box if you end up going that route. Cheers. Jul 10, 2014

A s: That sounds right. The rack is just to make a flat spot for mounting, you could put the plates directly onto an existing flat spot (fender, hard seat cowel) if you wanted. The racks make it easier though.

The difference between the racks is the way the cases are mounted, two points vs three.
