Works Exactly as Advertised-- NOTE: Use Gerbings Cable From Battery Quality feel/construction. But still seems a bit expensive just for an adaptor/short cable. NOTE: As stated in Revzilla video, if you want only one accessory cable coming off the battery to use for both accessories (Battery Tender and Gerbings)-- use the GERBINGS cable NOT the Battery Tender cable. Guess its a fuse & amp draw issue.. Gerbings wiring is thicker gauge, so best to use it. Just attach this coax-male-to-SAE cable when you want to use the Battery Tender. May 4, 2015
Works like an adapter should. I have a few vehicles for which I rotate my Battery Tender and this adapter makes it easy to use the same one on them March 30, 2015
Just get one You've bought all this Gerbing stuff for winter, but it's nice to not have to take the seat off and fiddle with battery connections if you ever want to use a battery charger. It's a cheap little adapter, just buy it. March 18, 2015
Could not hook it up to temp control This product cannot be used to hookup to tempature controller. It is to attach directly to jacket, which without the ability to control would be way to hot. January 26, 2015
Very useful converter cable! If you use Harley-Davidson electrically heated clothing, this converter cable allows you to connect current model Harley-Davidson battery chargers, equipped with "SAE" connectors, to the same "coax" connector that you have already installed on your motorcycle to accept the Harley-Davidson electrically heated 12 volt clothing. It simply attaches to the SAE connector on the battery charger, and plugs into the coax connector on the bike. This makes it easy for you to charge the bike's battery when the bike is parked, and then to use the electrically heated clothing while on the road. A very useful, inexpensive product. Great value. Great product for easy use of gerbing plug for other 12VDC uses. Purchased this product to allow my wife to charge her IPAD mini on long bike trips. Bike was already wired for Gerbing jacket liner, so this was the easiest way. Combined this with an SAE to USB adapter and it's a simple plug-in. Can also combine this with a Gerbing wye adapter to stay warm and entertained while riding. May 22, 2014
It works! It does exactly what it was designed to do and what I needed. March 3, 2014
Just the ticket I bought an older set of Gerbing heated gloves and the had the older style SAE (two flat prong) connection instead of the newer Coax (round plug-in) style used today. I bought the adaptor and it worked perfectly. November 18, 2013

A shopper asked: So if I get the Gerbing panel mounted port for wiring directly to my battery and I get this cable to connect to my battery tender cable, I will be able to plug my battery tender into the panel mounted port (using this connector) to keep my battery charged? I know this probably seems obvious but I just want to make sure. Oct 14, 2013

A shopper asked: Why does the description say "Not to be used to connect Gerbing's heated gear to an SAE battery tender cable"?

Is this exactly what one would use this for - to convert the battery charger pigtail into a heated clothing pigtail?

Kent B: Because the Gerbing gear can draw more amperage than the Battery Tender wiring harness is designed for. As is noted in the Reviews section, the correct setup is to use the Gerbing harness from your battery to your Gerbing gear. When you park your bike and want to use the Battery Tender, just use this Gerbing adapter to connect the Battery Tender to the Gerbing harness already connected to your battery. May 31, 2015

Doug B: Hmmm. Without thinking about that, my guess is that they don't want you to hook up without a regulator and fry your hands. Beyond that, not really sure. May 1, 2015
