Saved my knee!
So the first time I wore these they more than paid for themselves!

I was riding a KLR 650 on a single track trail and dumped the bike on a hill descent. I landed directly on my left knee cap on a big chunk of rock. Gouged the guard pretty well, but I didn't feel so much as a sting. Probably would have resulted in a hospital trip if I hadn't been wearing them.

Comfortable even on 4+ hour rides. I wear them over my pants and I don't even notice they are there after about the first 5 minutes.

If you are on a tight budget like I was at the time, these are darn hard to beat.

Excellent for the price
I've unfortunately already had a chance to test these in a get off. Went down on a hard, rocky trail, at medium speed (well medium for a trail). Foot, shin, knee, and elbows hit a few big rocks. These knee guards performed their job well and I got up with nothing but a bruised ego.

They fit well, are comfortable, and I barely notice them.

Great knee pads for a great price
I'm pretty new to the motorcycle community so I insisted on riding with knee pads when I was getting used to my bike. I have them over my jeans since they get uncomfortable on my bare legs. But over my jeans they are quite comfy and I forget about them when I am riding. They are not that low key so you do look like you are wearing knee pads but thats okay. My husbands knee pads are pretty flush with his dark jeans but I like these better.

I actually have crash tested these and let me tell you, when you have crashed with knee pads, you will never want to take them off again. They saved my knee/shin area from absolutely any damage and I couldn't be any happier! My leg was sandwiched between 2 bikes while I was sliding at 20 mph and no pain whatsoever. Go gear!

Walking with them is a bit odd since they articulate for riding but it's not to bad.

Good protection - good price...
I wear these under jeans and found them to be comfortable on or off the bike. I wear over the calf socks with my riding boots and the straps on these guards don't contact my skin. I don't know how they would be next to skin but they are comfortable with my setup. The straps are the kind that you adjust once then just clip and unclip to fasten - very nice. The guards are left and right knee specific and stay in place very well. I've never felt that they moved around at all once fastened. There is no strap on the part that goes over the kneecap but that is actually a good thing as it leaves it free to flex with your leg - especially when walking. I wear these under regular fit jeans and they are not really noticeable unless you are looking for them. The top does tend to show a little if you forget to pull your pants legs down after dismounting. These are hard protectors and they do retain heat a little when it is extremely warm outside but you don't really notice it until you take them off and feel the cool air on your shins. Part of that may be the high socks I wear. All in all I think these guards are a good bang for the buck and I recommend them to anyone who wants to add that extra feeling of protection.

great knee protectors
These are a great price for what you get. These were exactly what I was looking for. They do feel slightly awkward when standing or walking around in but when you are on the bike, you barely know that you have them on. They always have stayed in position. I wear them under my jeans and will wear them under a good pair of pants as soon as I buy a good pair.
I never get sweaty in these, unless I have them on while not moving. So take them off as soon as you are off the bike and you will be fine.

Inexpensive protection for knee and shin
I use these only on road rides under my jeans. They are lower profile than the Icon Strykers I've tried. Plus the Icons were for skinnier legs. The Fox Titans easily strap to my legs and stay put. I use them under jeans most often but wouldn't use these for long rides just because they're not really meant for road riding. I often wear just regular stretch jeans over these. The shin coverage is a big plus. The knee section wraps around nicely to cover the sides of my knees. One big advantage over the better CE rated armor found in motorcycle pants that absorb impact energy is that the Titans stay in position better. I find these comfortable enough during summer, and provide some measure of windchill protection in the cold. Side benefit is keeping engine or radiator heat off your legs. I can use these with work boots but I have to tuck the bottoms into my taller BMW AllRound boots. Recommended!

Worth it
Riding a motorcycle is fun, but you have to consider the risks when riding. I bought this because when you fall, it's not just your upper body that only takes the hit. It's your lower body as well. As funny and bulky it may look, it does the job well done. My only concern is that I wished it had a strap on top around the knee area so it can be more of a snug fit.
I have been down with this, and I can see the damage it took. Something small like this can go a long way. Of course you could get full leather pants with all the armor but, if budget doesn't allow it, this would work for now. Overall, it saved my body parts and I recommend it.

Nice Inexpensive Protection
These worked well the one time I have worn them. I wore them next to my leg (not over pants or a sock) and they were comfortable. I intend to wear them every time I ride, not just when touring. They provide nice protection for the shin and knee, which to me are very vulnerable even in a non-getoff situation. Simply just throwing your leg over the saddle and hitting a pannier can potentially ruin a ride. I have long legs so I don't have to worry about it interfering with my boots. They have a nice clip design so you set the strap length once and then don't worry about having to adjust straps on subsequent uses. All-in-all, worth every penny.

Needed something on the trails after a couple of falls I can see hurting my shins or knee cap. This is better than having nothing. And they are a great price.

Knee guards are an added layer of protection that I recommend to EVERYONE! These won't burn a hole in your pocket so ther's no reason why you shouldn't have them, unless you don't value your skin.

Even though I wasn't going to do any racing any time soon, I wanted the extra protection for my knees and shin since I just recently picked up learning to ride. Had an accident at 20 mph and this saved my shin for sure.

Will these fit under most dirtbike pants? Thanks!
A shopper on Jan 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, they should fit under most dirtbike pants.
Great shin guards!
This is my 1st knee protector and was wondering if this is a "one size fits all" set up? Thanks.
George C on Jan 11, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Don't know about 'one size fits all' but I'm 6'1 238lb and they fit me fine. The length of the bottom section is 9 1/2 " from the tip to the bottom of the knee cup and the overall length is about 15". I have medium to large size legs and there's still plenty of room in the straps to go tighter or looser. The bottom just goes inside my boots about a half inch or so. The flex well and are very comfortable. Also, not really noticeable under one size larger jeans. Hope this helps.
How do these fit with full size mx boots, are they too long?
Alexander R on Jan 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Not for me... I use size 42 Oneal Element MX boot and this knee titan race ... its little tricky... but fit.
