awesome lower leg protection!
I am 5'7 with somewhat an athletic legs, I noticed that they come in large, but fits me like a glove! covers the knee and the upper shin very well! Keeps my lower legs warm too when I ride on the freeway. Very comfortable to ride in, and they aren't too bad walking around with. I ride with them on the outside of the jeans. Definitely recommend them though! Sadly, they do not offer too much of a protection on the sides of your knee.

Added protection
Since I started riding again I found I was looking for added protection. After getting good boots and a jacket with updated Forcefield armor - the Forcefield Strap On Knee Protector were the next step and compliment my kevlar lined jeans - they fit under with no issues and aren't very noticeable when I'm off the bike. Unlike padded inserts these are adjustable, stay where you put them and are not dependent on inseam length and knee armor pocket location. These protectors add just another layer of confidence and protection.

Good product
I have not had a chance to ride with them on yet, but the fitment of them under either my riding jeans or my Klim Moab pants is excellent. I like the construction of the knee armor and they feel like they will break in nicely.

Protection that will stay in place
I like having leg armor and strap-on armor allows you to have leg armor no matter what you're wearing. I chose forcefield armor because it's CE certified and can be used multiple times. It feels very sturdy and I feel like it would protect well if anything happens.

Overall quality is good
I purchased these pads due to the fact I wanted more protection and I ride in jeans. I think these fit the bill. Since I have only used these in cold weather I am guessing the will be warm in the hotter months. Simply put protective motorcycle gear seems to be warmish. So once you have dealt with the fact your going to be warmer with protective gear it's up to the rider to wear the gear. Take aways. Strap size or length is short I dont have huge calves and the bottom strap is a bit tight. While riding you do get used to the pads and they don't bother you while on the bike. I ride a cruiser so i sit upright. Off the bike if you ever played catcher then you know what it feels like to walk in them. They don't hurt but it does feel a little strange. At the end of a long day of riding I was glad to get them off. One last issue my leathers were sized to go over just my pants and they were tight going over the pads and jeans. These pads worked well with the different type of boots I wear but if you have short legs and wear high boots they may conflict with your boots.

May not stay in place when needed most.
I trust the Forcefield armor, but not the straps that hold the knee protectors on my legs. They're badly placed. The top strap cuts into the tendons on the backs of my knees. The lower strap rides up over my calf muscle. Both straps are narrow, and don't distribute enough clamping force to keep the shin guard in place. The elastic in the straps has stretched and lost it's function in less than 6 months of use. Tightening them just gives me leg cramps. I'm no longer convinced the otherwise excellent armor would hold in place during an impact. I think they'd just spin around my legs. Great idea. Lousy method of securing them in place. Expensive lesson.

Extra protection under jeans with minimal hassle
These knee protectors are light and relatively comfortable (while riding) and fit fine under regular jeans. They are less bulky than I expected. Walking is a little awkward but not too uncomfortable, though you'll definitely want to remove them if you're going to be off the bike for more than a few minutes.
They stay in place well--better than the built-in armor in my riding pants--and are easy to take off with the velcro straps.

Great knee guards, if a bit expensive.
All of the Forcefield armor is fairly expensive, but the nitrex armor is light and breathes extremely well so you can wear it even on hot and humid days. The knee doesn't have a real hinge, but it has a good contour that won't make walking a PITA.
