These knee protectors are very hardy. They fit well, although they're very stiff on initial wear. With some break-in they will loosen up, but not to the point where one feels they'll lose their protection. They may be difficult to walk in, but that's a minor quibble for something that will save your knees in an impact. Thankfully I haven't crash-tested them, and hope to never do so, so I can't comment on their actual protection value, but they wear well and seem very functional.

These pads are well made, and definitely stay in place better than the pads that fit inside my riding pants. I typically don't wear an over the calf sock, and have noticed the velcro straps can be irritating to the skin if not attached "just so". The pads are otherwise quite comfortable.

I had a lowside about six months ago when I turned into an alley. I wore a jean with CE protectors on the knees, but still got bruise and scrapes right on the area that along the edge of the protector covered. So I ordered this after doing some research. They are not bulky, and comfortable on the bike. They are easy to put on and removed. The area covered is quite substantial. I like this kind strap-on protector because they attached directly on the knees, not the pants.

I'm going to wear these when I ride; that's all that matters to me really. If they weren't comfortable I wouldn't wear them. If they were a pain to put on and take off I wouldn't wear them. If they were bulky and obvious I wouldn't wear them. If I couldn't fit them under my jeans I wouldn't wear them. These have met all those key criteria for me, and I believe they're likely to protect me well in an accident. I hope to never find out.
Minor quibbles - I have to completely undo the elastic straps to take these off- they won't fit over my boots otherwise, but that's not a big deal. Airflow is limited up against my legs, but I don't see that there's much that could be done about that. Again, these are in no way dealbreakers.

I haven't tested these out yet, so I'm not sure on how well they will perform, but with Forcefield's reputation, I'm confident they'll protect me. They fit just fine and have plenty of adjustment. I have athletic legs and no problems wearing them. The velcro is high quality and doesn't feel like they'll come apart easily. You can wear a normal pair of jeans over them. I wear relaxed fit or straight leg jeans and they're not bad. They will force jeans like that to stretch over the knees, but that's expected. Riding wise, I can feel the velcro scratch my skin and during walks, the upper portion can be a distraction, but not painful. The upper velcro strap was more of a pain. I'd still recommend them since looking at the other offerings for knee protectors, you don't get much better in terms of comfort or protection.
