The Forcefield Upgrade Performance Armor is designed to replace existing armour inserts and are available in pairs for shoulder, arm, leg and hip. Using Nitrex Evo® a unique high tech shock absorbing material energy can be dispersed evenly over their surface whilst remaining flexible and comfortable.
Pretty basic, wasn't impressed.
Wasn't any better than what came with my JoeRocket jacket. Not worth the $40 in my opinion. The cells don't seem as though they will deform on impact. The "net" shoulder armor i got seems much better. I would go with the net elbow armor if i ordered again

Excellent replacement armor with great airflow
The armor that came in my Joe Rocket Phoenix 5 jacket was heavy, very hard, and had no airflow. I ordered these to replace the elbow armor. It isn't much lighter than the original but is much more comfortable and allows a lot of extra airflow. The Forcefield armor is a little larger but I didn't have trouble putting it in the pockets. I'm always hesitant to purchase a replacement for something that works "good enough" but after riding to work for a few weeks I have to say it was money well spent.

I also bought and reviewed the companion shoulder pads from Forcefield. Replacement of oem pads in a Speed and Strength Seven Sins medium size jacket. These are slightly longer than the oem pads and I was a bit worried they would not fit, however I managed to get them to work. A definite improvement over the oem pads which really were not too bad. Highly recommended.

I was expected something special when I ordered these at great expense in shipping to Australia and I'm sorry to report that I was massively let down by the hype generated by Forcefield products.
In short they offered slightly less protection than the stock inserts that came with my Icon Patrol Raiden jacket and overall they felt flimsy and weak. Yes, it has a lot of fancy honeycombing but it's really just gimmicky at best and not offering anything drastic in the way of protection.
Overall a complete waste of money and I'll probably try to resell them on eBay to someone who will appreciate them more than I will!

I bought these to go in my Harley jacket. Fit is perfect.

A little stiff but seem robust
Fit in my icon jacket well. A bit more stiff than the foam style pads I replaced. Seems like it will protect more in the event of a crash.

Great replacememt armor
I needed replacement armor for the shoulder and elbow pads in my jacket. The original pads had broken down but the jacket was in great condition. After researching the options for size compatibility and product quality/protection, the Forcefield pads seemed to be the best selection with the best ratings. I had hoped to give the idea to my family as a gift suggestion but they were not available at the time. Called Revzilla to determine availability who in tern called their distributor, while I was on the phone, to find out when I could order them. They appeared as in-stock items the beginning of February as projected and I placed an on-line order and received them two days later. The pads were exactly as desired in both quality and size. They also are better in quality and potential protection than the pads in another coat I have so anticipate switching them from coat to coat as necessary for riding. Only time will how much protection they provide but hope the need never arises.

Geoffrey P: Over time the padding fell apart and needs replacement. I have the Forcefield Sub 4 back protector and knee padding already. They are awesome.Nov 26, 2013
Claude W: Forcefield is the name in protection products. I already bought a CE 2 rated back protector and wanted to complete the upgrade with the same brand name. Keeping my fingers crossed that they fit!Oct 25, 2013
Allan B asked:Will these fit into a Joe Rocket Alter Ego 3.0 Jacket? I want to replace the current armor the jacket comes with.May 29, 2014
Claude W:I would do two things to make sure prior to ordering. Check the dimensions of the Forcefield armor and compare to the current armor in your jacket. If they are the same or very close in size, they will fit.
I would also call Revzilla and ask. They may know or be able to check the fit in an in stock Alter Ego 3.0 jacket. They checked for me in the Speed & Strength jacket.May 29, 2014
Kermit J:Probably. Not sure the brand or what is there, I used mine in a Tourmaster and it was a tight fit, took a little bit of wiggling to seat it, but it wears great as the original. Think it is very likely your experience would be the same. Just don't rip anything going in, nudge, bend the pad and let it unfold in place. Then put it on and wear it without being too judgemental. Then, after being in place awhile, feel the pads in place and settled and if they fit your body location, they they are a success.Oct 8, 2014
