top of the line.
I picked this up for some stunt work I was doing on a movie and tv show. Had to do a back fall and this was worth every penny! It's light weight and durable. provides great protection. I fell awkwardly during one take and laded half in a pothole. my spine guard took the force of the impact and prevented any type of injury.

Great protection, comfort, and airflow
Overall this back protector is perfect. Fits under my Dainese race suit and feels like its not even there. There is no noticeable loss of airflow at all. I know forcefield makes great products so that is the reason i chose this back protector. The Kn transferred is just over 4 ( i think its 4.4) and that is more than double what the CE level 2 requires. I definitely recommend this product.

The protection material is malleable and molds to the wearers back. Comfort-wise, the protector is like wearing a very light backpack, and barely noticeable after riding for a while. Protection provided is supposed to be well beyond CE2 requirements. I am 5'9" and purchased a medium. The protector covers from the top of my back to right around my waist when in riding position. I received the item 1 day after I placed my order.

Great protection for a great price.
I bought this back protector over a month ago to wear when i go out riding on my 2003 Yamaha R6. it's very comfortable and it's very flexible! it formed to my back after the first ride and it literally covers my whole back from the the bottom of my neck down to my coccyx. I would not wear this under a T-Shirt.. only over the T-shirt.. but it definitely works well to wear under a jacket or race suit. The back protector is thick and durable. Fortunately enough i haven't had to physically test it out yet, but i know through the CE ratings it has, and a couple videos on YouTube, that my back is the least of my worries in an accident. It literally gives me peace at mind knowing i'm wearing this while going 150 MPH. Great product!!

Comfort fit
I got this to replace the turtle shell style, at first it seemed a little rigid and when I put my full suit over it the first time took a wee bit of repositioning to get it in the right spot, all I needed to do was take the kidney guards and slide the whole protector down just a tad and my suit fit right over it. After a track session I went to take the protector off and I noticed that it had partially molded to the curvature of my back which explains why I forgot I was even wearing it. It was super comfortable for track day and never once did I have to fiddle with it, the adjustments are plentiful and you can get it as tight or lose as you need it to be. Eh, it does get a bit warm but face it 80 degrees, leather suit, & a back protector, it's gonna be hot anyway can't blame the protector. Light weight and comfortable. If you are a novice track day goer or looking for a bit more semi aggressive protection I'd stay look no further. Thankfully I did not have to test the crash protection.

Very Happy with this protector
So far, the fit and comfort level seems perfect for me. I followed the sizing guide an the fit is spot on. I'm happy I went with this protector since forcefield is one of the top names in this category. I hope I never have to evaluate its protection capability.

Great piece
Armor is relatively light weight but as soon as you start riding with it its not even noticeable. Build quality feels great. No intention testing the piece but I feel completely confident in it. Ton of air flow. Highly recommend for track over other similar priced brands.

Have not crashed and have not worn it on a super hot day. It is plyable and slim. Very comfy. It seems a little heavy but if it works the way I've herd it's totally worth it.

Excellent back protector
I recently used this under my leathers at a track day. It fits great, easy on, easy off. Once riding I forgot I was wearing it. Very comfortable and didn't trap heat. It's not too bulky and easily fits under a suit or jacket.

Comfort and Protection all in one
Purchased the Force field Pro L2 EVO back protector back in Nov 2014. A gem of a product. The adjustable shoulder straps and waist belt ensure a firm but comfortable fit. The design is unobtrusive , you don't even know you are wearing it , but have piece of mind that if the unthinkable happens a least you are improving your odds of minimising damage to your back. I have done a number of tracks days and long tours and feel naked without it. Highly Recommended.

Looking for a CE2 back protector for track days under my suit, and this fits the bill. Track day last weekend, and it did the job perfectly.

I have a prosub 4 for trackdays but when my under layers get a little thick after summer, it's difficult to wear under my textiles, the L2 EVO is substantially thinner for better comfort under my riding suit with thicker layers on. Everyone should wear a high end back protector! It will save you from becoming permanently disabled from an accident.
Joon K on Nov 9, 2014
I bought a summer time riding textile jacket that would not hold up too well if i were to go down at 70 mph . Most sportbike users end up taking a fall on their backs , so now with CE lvl 2 certified back protector i will feel very ssafe

Best Armor you can buy, It is not one and done like most of the other armor on the market. Due to how it is designed and its material it can be used multiple times.

Just wondering about the difference in thickness between this protector (L2 Evo) & the Forcefield Blade?
Noah S on Sep 28, 2015
Hi,

At just under 5'7" I think I should buy a Small according to the chart. I just want to double check that's a good choice. Thanks.

?
Esmond L on Mar 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I'm also 5'7", and I use a size S. The M would be too tall and the top would stick out of my leather suit. But it really depends on how long your torso is.
I'm 5'6" and am interested in a CE-L2 back protector that's has added tailbone protection. I will be wearing it inside my 1-piece leather suit, so it also needs to be comfortable, slim, and breathable.

What size should I order, and will this FF protector fit the bill?

I currently have a CE-L2 back protector, but it doesn't have tailbone protection.

Thanks for your help.
A shopper on Apr 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I exactly 5'5 and I ordered a Small. I think that size is perfect for me any bigger and it be too much. Its ling enough that it does extend a bit into my pants waist. Feels good and not too heavy, you can adjust the shoulder straps to whatever is comfortable.
As for the "breathable" part; well it does have some perforation holes on it. But yeah my back does sweat a little (as the temperature goes up of course ) I use it under my Alpinestars gp perforated leather jacket, in temperature 95+. (At that point yes its hot, but I rather be safe than sorry)
Hey !

I am comparing this with the Alpinestars Nucleon KR-1 Road Back Protector. I am most concerned about tailbone protection. Do you know if one has more tailbone protection than the other?

I am 5'8" 150 lbs. Any idea on what size to get? Should I go for a large to get the most protection?

Thanks!
Alexander M on Jul 23, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I bought this product so I'll speak to this back protector. I am 6'2" 200lbs and the large was more than enough for lower back support. In fact, it just barely fit under my one piece. I wear this when I'm out riding with a jacket and kevlar jeans since that's when it is most comfortable. However I switched to the medium size Pro Sub 4 Back Protector when I have my one piece on.

I recommend you don't go any higher than a medium.
What chest protector do you suggest to use with this back protector?
A shopper on Mar 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The Elite Chest Protector from Forcefield is an ideal complement. I wear them together and they fit very comfortably.
What would be the best back protector to wear under my leathers while racing flat track?
A shopper on Aug 6, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I picked the Forcefield armor because it's what the California Superbike school uses and endorses and it's gotten great reviews from the people that have actually tested it.
