Fly Trekker DS Hi-Viz Helmet
Poor Quality Helmet
Bought this helmet for my son's birthday a year ago and the Hi-Viz color faded to a mustard yellow after about 3 months. Fly said that's normal, would not warranty.

Excellent inexpensive dual sport helmet that's brighter than the face of sun.
Imho the best fit and finish in this price range for a DS helmet. I removed the peak since my riding is 90% street which eliminated the sail affect at higher mphs. It's impossible to ignore since it's SUPER bright and looks great with the dark smoke and mirrored face shield options.

I ordered this helmet earlier this month, and I am not disappointed. I had a Bilt Explorer that was just a bit too tight on my head, and caused really bad headaches after about an hour of riding. Unfortunately, I had the largest size made, and was searching for something larger. The Fly Trekker was the right color (hi-viz yellow), and is the right size (2XL) for my abnormally large melon. It is a bit noisy, but no worse than the Bilt. I usually wear foam earplugs, and that solves the problem. The airflow is excellent, and I can definitely tell a difference. I could actually feel the air flowing through the helmet the other day as I was riding. As with any helmet they're going to be a bit hot in the summer time, but once you start moving the air quickly moves through the vents and cools your head off. I also like the fact that the helmet is designed so that you can choose to wear goggles with the visor in the up or down position. Very good design. Finally, the color is great. I want to be as visible as possible. I'm not trying for the cool racer or biker look. I want folks in cars to see me a mile off, and with this hi-viz yellow they do.

great helmet for the price
Finally bought a proper DS helmet. Not as comfy as my Shoei road helmet but way more ventilation and even a little better peripheral vision. I got the matte black and added some hand cut Hi Vi vinyl accents to it for a little more visibility to cagers on the street and others on the trail. This is a great looking and performing DS helmet. Recommended if you're on a budget like me.
The only thing I wish it did a little better were if it had better/more face shield adjustment But overall, a great helmet.

I've owned mainly Bell helmets in the past. I've never had a Shoei or Arai so I might be giving this helmet only four stars if I were familiar with the very top helmets. Nonetheless, I think the Trekker is an excellent dualsport helmet. The fit is great, air circulation quite good, and it looks/feels as if it will protect well. Weight is quite reasonable. I find the three position visor adjustment convenient for regulating air flow on slower dirt trails. At highway speeds, the noise level is acceptable and I can turn my head without a lot of wind pull on the helmet.

One bright helmet
Depending on your style, this might scream "Look at me" but thats what I wanted. Fit is true to head size, nice shield that can easily open and close as well as fit goggles if you don't want the shield down. Ventilation is really good, especially is the Southern Californian heat. I just might get the black one for off road!

DS Works Great and a great value
I got this after reading many reviews and many of these reviews were mixed, to say the least.
It has a lot of vents, so I was able to test this helmet out during rain, high humidity, sheer downpours and wind from the Columbia River Gorge!
Living in Portland as an all-year round rider, I needed something for all seasons.
Portland is usually rainy, humid but can get pretty hot in the Summer time. When it rains, I'm able to close off the vents to prevent my head from getting wet. When it gets hot and humid, I can open up the vents.
I do not have that "fogging" issue that everyone else seems to be having because I always flip my face shield up when I stop at a traffic light. I am new at riding and I thought that's what riders did anyways.
My only complaint is well...nothing. You get what you pay for and it works well so far.
Some notable things is the wind noise but I usually don't ride over 60mph. Yes, it does get windy like I said, I usually don't ride at excessive speeds. Also, this is a 125$ dual sport helmet....it will obviously catch more wind.
Sizing: I measured my head exactly with the measuring tape and went off from there.

Great Helmet for the purpose!
I ride a Super Tenere and wanted a good dual sport helmet that was highly visible and at a fair price. This helmet fit the bill.
