Open Face helmet Altough it seems like a full face helmet, actually its an open face helmet with a plastic attachment as chin bar. In the inside of the plastic chin bar it has a label "Not design to withstand a crash" !! Than why bother to add the chin bar? Just for looks? Apart from that the feel of the liners is nice, but the materials for the brackets looks good but feels cheap. It's nice that it includes the dark visor but it seems after some changes the mechanism will break. Something interesting is that the wind noise reducer is sewed on to the breath diffuser. So if you are in hot weather you must unstitch it. Nevertheless I still believe its worth the hundred bucks. February 21, 2013
Good for price but confusing to put together and use for the first time. The helmet did not come with complete instructions. I had to phone the company to find out how to use the front bar. Then I discovered it was NOT for protection. It merely serves a purpose of hanging the cold weather face cloth on. I tried to use the helmet with the bar on and the bar off. It fogs up the shield when it is on. But the shield stays clear when it is off. The picture was deceptive since it looks like a full face helmut but really is not that at all. I took it on an all day ride and it was very comfortable though not nearly as quiet as I expected from the advertisement claims. February 21, 2013

Answer: 
The Fly Tourist helmet does not come with an anti-fog faceshield. Fly sells three optional faceshields designed to combat fogging. There is the clear version with an anti-fog coating, a smoke version with an anti-fog coating, and a clear double pane version for more extreme cold weather temperatures.

The removable chin bar will offer a bit more protection. Nonetheless, if you are looking for higher levels of protection, consider a full face helmet.

Just decoration, unless you attach the anti fogging cloth to it in cold weather (I think). Put it on while wearing the helmet is a pain also. Took forever to line it up right.
