I bought these to bike in MN and I have been kept very warm. As you know, it gets pretty cold here in the am during my commute to work, but these pants are awesome. They are a bit bulky, but I would rather have that than freeze! :)

It seems to be screwed up at the factory - they are not selling many if a size 18 has a 50 inch waist.

Answer: 
The Fly Women's Sizing chart is correct and these pants are oversized. They do have an adjustable strap on the right side that can be cinched up about 2 inches.
