Firstgear HT Overpants
Snug in the waist
I am rather short with a typical pants size of 32W - 30L. The 32W overpant is snug even over dress pants, yet the rest of the pant and legs has more than adequate room for the liner as well. But once they are on, and they slide on easily since the zippers go 3/4 up the side (much higher than many and for me, this is one of the highest priorities for commuting), there is no air leakage and it is comfortable. I have not had the pleasure of riding in a heavy downpour or freezing rain yet, but I see no reason to doubt their protection. Paired with the Kilimanjaro jacket you are good for all late fall through spring riding. No reason to store your bike.

Good pants for the price.
I got these for cold weather riding and so far I am really happy with them. The legs are long so they don't ride up when I am on the bike. Warm enough for cold weather in Texas.

Firstgear HT Overpants
I'm not a gear junky that has the best of the best gear. I'm just a guy that rides a bike year around to save money that also loves riding.
I have a Firstgear jacket and just got the HT over pant's because I needed wet weather protection.
I've been in two heavy rains with these pants and have stayed dry both times on my 30 minute commute.
If rain or single digit temps aren't happening, I don't use them, but if its cold or wet, these work!

I'd recommend this but the fly zipper and gutter are always getting caught together
I have been using these nearly daily for the last two weeks, and every single time (except once), I have managed to zip the gutter material in the fly. It doesn't matter if the gutter wasn't zipped in he zipper on the way up, I managed to catch it on the way down. If I caught it on the way up, I'd clear it once only to have it happen again before I made it to the top. Absolutely infuriating. (For all I know it's operator error- it can't be that easy to zip the fly each and every time). It looks like 1/8th inch of fabric between the zipper and gutter material might fix the problem.
I can't speak to the waterproof capabilities yet (the main reason I bought these pants) as it hasn't rained. I am somewhat in doubt about the performance of the left side, as I can feel a draft from the top of the outside zipper.
They are definitely warm, even with the liner out. I also am questioning how I could get a pair of anything but the thinnest of slacks under the pants+liner.
Overall, I'd give the pants a 7. The fly/zipper issue is frustrating, but overall I'm very happy with my purchase.

First Overpants purchase
Purchased this item and have been very satisfied with it. Fit seems true to size and so far has remained waterproof. I rode in heavy rain once and light rain 2 times and realized the rest of my gear leaks but the pants have not. Have not tested the protection and too new to test durability but they seem pretty solid. The sides unzipping most of the way are a great feature as it allows me to put on with boots on. Not sure when I would use the thermal liner except on a snowmobile. The pants have been warm without the liner down to 40F so far.

I am a women so my complaints may not help since these are men's pants but I dont like how women's pants ever fit so I took a chance. They are big that is for sure and they are not stylish on my thruxton but when it is cold out or raining I don't really care that much. Maybe I should have gotten the women's but I hate waiting for them in the mail and have to send them back for a different size so I took a chance.

Fit as specified, seem great so far!
Wear a 34", ordered a 34" and they fit perfectly as overpants but not too bulky. I ordered the T and they are the perfect length when sitting. The kneepads are low when standing, as other people have stated, but they come up perfectly when you sit down. The pants are meant to be worn quite high which is to say where normal pants used to be worn :) They zip up to my TPG Rainier perfectly when worn this way (why'd they discontinue that jacket?!). They were very good in a 45min rain ride, keeping me dry internally but holding a decent amount of water themselves. They are not water repellent on the outer layer.

Nice, non-manly looking pants
I really, really like these pants. They actually fit a woman's curves without compromising comfort or safety. It looks really nice with the matching jacket! They run a little small in my opinion, so take note of that.
