Ritchie S: I liked the reviews and I liked the priceOct 15, 2014
Charles S: Quality and reputation of the model of tire.Sep 9, 2014
R O: I had Michelin Commander IIs, which I liked. But since I bought the Michelins, Dunlop came out with the American Elite 2nd Gen, they good good reviews, so I thought I'd try them. I prefer to buy American, but the product has to be competitive. I'll see how these work. I'll buy again if they match or exceed my Ms, or I'll go back to Michelin if these don't make the cut.
I ride an HD FXSTC 2008 Softail Custom, put on about 7k/yr, 30% 60+ highway and 70% primary/secondary twisties.Aug 28, 2014
Myron F: Best mileage and its American made.Aug 18, 2014
Bryon P: To be honest I didn't have a clue what tires to buy un tell I watched your video. This is my first Harley and I have been very careful to make sure that I research everything I do to it. I was very impressed with how informative your video was and after asking around am looking forward to getting them on. Thanks for going the extra mile for your customers you care and it shows,May 9, 2014
Earl W: O.E.M. Direct replacement with competitive price, throw in Revzilla bucks and NO Freight charges it was an obvious choice.Mar 18, 2014
Ronald Y: If these are as good a tire as the original equipment Dunlops on my 2012 FLHRC, I will be pleased. Time will tell.Feb 12, 2014
Howard B:No, this size tire was 1st use in 2009 when Harley did a redisgn on the dresser and is still being used today. The American Elte tire is a replacement for the OEM tire if someone is looking for a better tire. I have put more miles on the elite tires(front & rear) than the OEM tires and a friend of mine has 20k on a set as of this week This is a GREAT tire for a full dresser. I do not know if dunlop has made and shipped any different sizes of elite tires, I know they were work on some different sizeJul 27, 2014
A shopper asked:Trying to replace rear tire on 2012 Electra Glide Ultra FLHTCU Fire Fighter Edition our numbers read 180/65 B16 - your choices above offer 81H, 81HWWW, or 81HNW - which is correct for OEM? thanksMar 31, 2014
Owen W:I didn't like the harder and less responsive ride from the Dunlop American Elites and was very happy to replace them with the Michelin Commander II. I have 7 sets of tires on my bike and got the most miles from the Elites but couldn't wait to replace them. I hope I get a good number of miles from the Commander II's - I love the ride these tires are giving me!Apr 1, 2014
Andrew H:In my opinion, Dunlop is better than Metzeler. I am a service writer at a Harley-Davidson dealership, and I see Metzeler tires cupping more often than Dunlop tires. Any brand of tire can and will cup if you don't keep your tires properly inflated, but a Dunlop tire typically will wear more even. My favorite tire right now is the Michelin Commander II. Also try running nitrogen in your tires.Jul 27, 2014
Shorland J:I can't tell you how or if it will work on an '03 UC but as for me on my '11 Street Glide, it has performed great in all conditions. If you can make it work on your bike I'd highly recommend it!Feb 24, 2014
