Drift Ghost-S Action Camera
*Click!* and she is in! I have two mounts for this camera, one on my helmet and one on my bike and it is so nice just taking it out of one and clicking it in to the other, twist the lens, plug in the mic and boom I'm set to go.
I get roughly 2 hours out of 1080p/50fps, I plug an external battery into it for good measure.
Zip tied a small Cree LED torch to it for some Laughs, worked great though.
It will sometimes tell me that my card is not fast enough, yet it is the fastest card currently offered, this could be my card crapping up or it could be the camera, I am not sure.

great, but has 2 issues
I love the Ghost-S, especially the screen feature. I only have 2 issues with this product.
1. wind noise is incredibly loud. I might have to buy a mic accessory to eliminate the noise.
2. froze up on me twice.

For what it is, it can't be beat.
For the specs and features it's great. It might not offer all the features/capabilities in the video capture department as its biggest competitor.
But it's waterproof for riding purposes (without needing an additional case) and offers better battery life in a streamlined package that isn't obtrusive. With the wide selection of mounts available, you're pretty much going to be sticking the mount to your helmet and will most likely capture some of your helmet; if going that route. The design of the Drift pretty much rules out being able to mount it on the chin bar; but I've found the forward weight throws the helmet out of balance (tilting it forward). That and it just looks... Funny. The threaded mounting hole uses a standard camera tripod threading. This way you can mount it to other camera accessories - I have a RAM mount ball that screws into it, so i can use it with other RAM mounting options.
I have mine mounted on my helmet on the right side, with a Sena on the left. This helps balance out the weight and wind resistance. I don't find that it offers any added resistance when doing head checks. I also run an external mic into my helmet for audio. Audio and video quality are great, with a fairly true color temp on playback.
The Ghost-S doesn't do the fisheye lens distortion as heavily as the previous models, although you will notice it slightly around the edges.

Needs some work.
Camera randomly stops recording at strange times, even if the battery/SD capacity is good. Looking around at other reviews, I can see I'm not the only one. iPhone app is very unstable. A big concern I have is that there haven't been any firmware updates or iPhone app updates since February 2014.

Great recording settings, mounting options, low profile, and remote
1080p @ 60 fps with 160 degree field of view
It is enough to be able to pause video at virtually any point and make out license plates
I got this in response to a hit and run I experienced where no drivers including the one at fault stopped. If I had this camera running I wouldn't have eaten the cost of an accident that was not my fault (luckily pretty minor accident all things considered now)
I wear it on the top of my helmet as I have multiple bikes and don't want to restrict myself to only one bike with a mounted camera, this also allows it to "see" what I am looking at
Software could use some updates but the company seems pretty active in supporting it
Overall a well built product that I would recommend to EVERY rider for peace of mind and financial security in case the worst happens

The BEST action camera on the market!!
The Drift Ghost S is an amazing camera! It has tons of features and the Low Light Mode is improved significantly! The video quality is amazing and you can change the bit-rate as well. It's pretty aerodynamic, pretty discreet, and better looking on a helmet than other cameras. You can attach this Ghost S to almost anything and it comes with a wrist remote that is VERY convenient for anything: snowboarding, motovlogging, etc. I use it for motovlogging and the audio quality it very good just make sure you use and external microphone and wire it into your helmet! Out of the 3 main cameras you have to choose from: I would pick this one, it's the best as far as action cameras go. Buy this camera now: you WON'T be disappointed it's worth the cost!!

I Love The Drift Ghost
I bought this HD camera for two purposes, a) to use on a head band when I hike the Grand Canyon (rim to rim) and b) to use on my Piaggio MP3 Motorcycle/Motor-scooter. I have a mount on my motorcycle helmet and a mount on the front (Givi windscreen) of the MP3. When mounted to the helmet (battery powered), I use the remote attached to my wrist to turn the unit on and off. When mounted directly on the MP3 (along with a Garmin 3790LTM) in front suctioned to the Givi windscreen, it is powered by one of the two Powerlet USB outputs. The software that Drift provides as an app on my iPhone is easy to use and quite functional as it controls all the parameters of the camera. Go for it.
