Girlfriend's passenger jacket
Wanted a basic jacket with at least some soft armor for the girlfriend when she plays spidermonkey. Wanted something she'd like to wear, and she'd seen this one on sale and approved of the colors.
With an added G1 Wave, I feel pretty good about her being in this. She's a tiny person, so it is pretty light (compared to my leather versions) and that works out nicely for her.
She's tiny (5 feet tall, under 100 lbs) so with a 40 she wears a sweatshirt under it for a perfect fit.

Very Cool style & fit with enough function
I really LOVE this jacket! Felt great as soon as I put it on ... I am 5'2" 105 lbs, small but athletic build, and got the 40 in black. Super-nice sleek, and smooth fit; hits just right on my torso and hips; great style and easy to wear. As described in the video, cottony feel-no air vents, but not hot on 70-@80 days I've worn it. Protection is light, as noted so just around town, short trips; wouldn't use it for all day ride... but makes me think of a future Moto Guzzi and it would be perfect :) I have the Alice, too and that is more beefed up, as they said. The style and accent suede pieces on this, make it - the light accent trim on front and back are actually the same suede as the Dainese logo - really cool. Only bad thing, was the exposed zipper on bottom of jacket scratched my tank-- I hadn't had a jacket that did that - mine have a cover or just enough seam to cover it. But, I can do something to deal with that -- great jacket!

Perfect style meets function
I love this jacket! I was looking for a spring jacket that matched my vintage-looking bike. This one is perfect. I bought the back protector as well and feel safe. Airflow is good for warmer days and I can put a hoodie underneath for cooler days.

Comfort Comfort Comfort
I recently purchased this jacket in the grey/ice/ice combo (note: it's not the same color combo as is on the dainese website, which I was slightly disappointed about but whatever, it still looks super cool). It's VERY lightweight, very comfortable. I didn't get the Dainese back protector (it doesn't come with any protection for the spine), and instead chose to wear my full external style back protector as opposed to the insert kind. It fit underneath the jacket just fine. I also ordered my normal size, and I think this jacket runs very true to size. I haven't tested durability/protection yet as i haven't crashed in it and I hope not to, but the CE Armor in the elbows/forearms/shoulders feels adequate. I would definitely recommend getting a proper back protector for this jacket. I attached a picture of the actual jacket vs the one on the dainese website for comparison. This jacket will be great for warmer weather since it's so light weight, definitely wind proof though (no ventilation) so I don't expect it to be great for hot hot weather. I wore it out the other day with a hoodie underneath and it was about 55-60 out and was comfortable.

A shopper asked:I want to get this jacket for my wife so she will go riding with me. This is the only one she likes but its a surprise for her so getting the measurements were a little on the sneaky side. She measured in at 33 inches on the chest just under the armpits. She is small with athletic build, very slim and fit. 5 ft 2 inches and about 95 lbs. With your expertise what size would fit her best. I read some of the reviews and it seems per the size guide the the jacket size might be to big for her, or what I thought her size was, what is your recommendation? I plan on getting the G1 for the jacket as well and I would like for it to have some room for her to have a sweater under incase there is some cold weather cruising involved.Nov 15, 2013
I'm 5'4", thin/petite, 110lbs, ~34B chest. I ordered a size 40 and it fits perfectly with a hoodie or sweater worn underneath it. Without a layer underneath, it looks slightly big on me in the chest area. However, I asked a few friends their opinion on the jacket, and no one else noticed the chest issue. I decided to keep the jacket since most other motorcycle jackets for women are unstylish and look bulky on me. I mainly go on short trips around town so I didn't order the G1- since your wife is smaller than me, there'd likely be enough room for it even with a sweater under the jacket.Nov 18, 2013
