Great suit. I've never really worn a one piece track suit before this (aside from trying a few on in in the store), so I can't really say if this suit is more comfortable than others. That said, after breaking it in a bit, I do find this suit to be comfortable and can wear it for hours. The perforated leather on the chest does an OK job with airflow, but on a hot day it's still a leather suit and you're still going to sweat. I've crashed on the track (and once on the street) in this suit, and it's held up very very well. No tears, no damage whatsoever aside from a scrape on the metal shoulder. Fit is on par with the rest of the Dainese women's line. I could probably pick anything off their rack in my size and it would fit (5'3" 115 lbs and wear a 42) Also, it makes me feel like a Storm Trooper. November 13, 2012
Great overall! I am 5'0 34-28-34 I ended up choosing to buy the size 40 even though the size chart recommended one size larger (42). I opted this because I am pretty short. I would say though, that the suit probably fits true to the size chart. The suit just fit for my upper body. I expect it to bend and stretch with more use. The only thing was the legs were long, but the stretch material over the knee pad/puck allowed for some room to squish. The ankles had a bit of extra leather for my small ankles, so my boot was a tight once I put it over. Overall it's a good fit, and I'm happy with it, as all the pads fit snug and at the right points! The Dainese Women's Victory suit is only offered in a one piece version. If you are looking for a two piece race suit, The Dainese Women's Avro Two Piece Suit or the Spidi Women's Poison Suit are 2 premium options.

Do Dainese suits come with a basic back protector? I cannot find any clarification on this on their website or Revzilla's

No, none of the Dainese race suits come with anything more than a basic temperfoam place-holder. Dainese offers several stand alone back protector options, designed to be worn underneath a race suit.

This suit comes with composite protectors. Dainese says:

"Composite protector offer elevated standards of protection thanks to a patented net structure capable of distributing impact force over a wider area. These excellent impact force absorption values guarantee conformity to CE homologation requisites. Ergonomic design contributes to increased comfort while the external perforated structure increases breathability. Composite protectors are inserted on the shoulders, elbows, knees, and back, and can be removed to increase the garment’s versatility: without the protectors it can worn as an article of everyday wear."

SIZING INSTRUCTIONS

We highly recommend finding a cloth tape measure and taking the time to take these measurements. Dainese sizes will not necessarily correlate with fitment in other brands.

  • Chestwidth: Measure from under/top of armpit cross chest to under/top of other armpit, then across back to first armpit
  • Waist: Measure at the hourglass of your torso, (circumference measured at your belly button)
  • Hips: pelvic bone to pelvic bone, the widest part of your hips below the waist
  • Inseam: from crotch to big ankle bone
  • Outseam: from waist to big ankle bone
