Dainese Torque RS Out Air Boots (Size 47 Only)
Buy Dainese at Revzilla
For a serious race boot, these are super comfortable right out of the box, and a perfect fit in my correct size. I guess they might get better with break in, but it's hard to imagine how. I have the white/red ones, and one thing I really appreciate on this model is that the shift protector is black. Have you ever tried keeping a white protector white on similar boots? I have and it's impossible.
I can't say that air flow is outstanding for a perforated boot, so that's the only thing I found that isn't fantastic. But with a fared bike like my K1200S, most of the air is directed around the boot anyway, so I can't say that I've experienced any better.
The first pair I got from Dainese/Revzilla had a manufacturing defect, where the upper foot panel of one boot only (!) wasn't perforated. And yet the boot was still labeled as the "Air" model on the inside tag. I called Revzilla and their excellent staff got right on it, was way more apologetic than I ever anticipated, and did everything they could to get me a replacement pair as soon as possible (from Italy!) Simply outstanding customer service from Joel at Revzilla, and the new boots arrived absolutely perfect, and I mean perfect. The build quality is flawless. I've always been a big fan of Dainese gear, and the little slip up with the first pair of boots has done nothing to change my belief that they make the best stuff on Moto Earth.

Thought about that price tag for a long time
I bought these directly at Dainese since Revzilla didn't have them in Black/Black/40 (and I tried for a good while).
I buy size 8 dress shoes in the US and they are alway a little loose (I am really a 7.5). the 40 fit tight - the first time I had a VERY hard time to slip into that heel cockpit, but once in and walking around for abut 2 hours the boot breaks in and molds around your foot perfectly. The length is true to size, width is narrow. Love the speed lacing since my left food is slightly smaller than my right one. Very comfortable after a very short time. My advice would be to err on a smaller size, squeeze in and let the boot break in for a perfect fit.
Walks great, rides great and calf adjuster is very useful with my leathers tucked in.
Price tag is high, but you most often (as the case here) get what you pay for.
Have not validated (and don't intent to) the protective features, but enough people on the web have testified to its qualities for me to be convinced....
One little hickup was with the inner sole, which is glued in and extends up the sides of the inner boot a little bit. One of the side walls on the right boot was a bit loose and folded over when I slipped into the boot, creating a bad pressure point....a little fabric glue solved it.
Overall I highly recommend this boot

Great boots but a bit smaller than US sizing
First I love these boots! Comfortable and the entry/exit is awesome with the rear zipper.
I am a US 11 normally so wear a 45 in A*s and Sidi. Dainese's size chart says I should take a 44 for US 11. Needed a size 45 to make it work. After that these boots are amazing!

Look great, super comfortable and great protection. I'd get the perforated for best comfort 9 months out of the year

Lace up system makes these boots stand out.
They boots really look and feel that there is a lot of engineering time in the form, fit and function of these boots. I wanted a set of race boots with a lace system to help get a snug fit with the slight variance between my left and right foot size.
Check out my unboxing video for some HD images and first try on of the boots with my leathers.
I plan to use them for track days and the boots' precision should help with developing better cornering skills. The rear foot entry was surprizing easy and makes getting my foot out of the inside bootie easy. Will be good after a hard day of riding fun.
The brace protection system is tight, feels good, and can probable save me from major ankle damage.

Bought these because of the rear zipper design. Wanted something less bulky in the calf area, especially on the inside area where I connect with the bike. These fit the bill perfectly. Very compact but still beefy enough to offer needed protection. I wear a 10.5 to 11 usually and have narrow feet (B to C width) and the 44's fit like they were custom made. The inside lace was a set it once and forget it for me. Feel very secure on the bike and not at all clunky like my A-Stars SMX boots with the inner side zipper and velcro flaps. Ventilation has been great and they are fine for moderate walking around when off the bike.

Great form and function
I wasn't sure on spending upwards of 400 on a pair of boots but i wanted all the features and style of these and haven't been disappointed. For the fit the length is sized like an Italian dress shoe, tight but not to much. the inner lace works well and velcro to keep the excess lace in place is a nice touch. all the details and functionality are spot on. On the pegs the sole feels secure and ankle movement is great. I don't plan on falling but when(if) it happens im glad i chose this boot.

I tried a couple pairs of the Alpinestars Supertech R boots first because I REALLY wanted to love them, but they fit my foot pretty odd. I've always worn a 42 Euro in Astars, so I tried 42s on the Supertechs which were good width wise if not a little tight, but a touch long. I tried a 41 instead, and they were just way too tight everywhere.
I also tried on a pair of TCX Ducati race boots around the $400 mark in the 42, and the length was perfect but the width was too wide! I was really frustrated since I was willing to pay up to $500 for a good pair of boots and couldn't find the right fitment.
I tried these Dainese boots, and they were perfect! A little narrow, but generally comfortable. After the first ride I felt like they were totally broken in and felt great! They're light and breathe very well in the Air version. Probably my favorite feature/function however is how slim they are against the bike. Shifting is super easy with how thin the toe box is and when moving around the bike the boots don't snag or catch anywhere. I am definitely happy with these boots!
