Buy Dainese at Revzilla For a serious race boot, these are super comfortable right out of the box, and a perfect fit in my correct size. I guess they might get better with break in, but it's hard to imagine how. I have the white/red ones, and one thing I really appreciate on this model is that the shift protector is black. Have you ever tried keeping a white protector white on similar boots? I have and it's impossible. I can't say that air flow is outstanding for a perforated boot, so that's the only thing I found that isn't fantastic. But with a fared bike like my K1200S, most of the air is directed around the boot anyway, so I can't say that I've experienced any better. The first pair I got from Dainese/Revzilla had a manufacturing defect, where the upper foot panel of one boot only (!) wasn't perforated. And yet the boot was still labeled as the "Air" model on the inside tag. I called Revzilla and their excellent staff got right on it, was way more apologetic than I ever anticipated, and did everything they could to get me a replacement pair as soon as possible (from Italy!) Simply outstanding customer service from Joel at Revzilla, and the new boots arrived absolutely perfect, and I mean perfect. The build quality is flawless. I've always been a big fan of Dainese gear, and the little slip up with the first pair of boots has done nothing to change my belief that they make the best stuff on Moto Earth. July 28, 2015
Thought about that price tag for a long time I bought these directly at Dainese since Revzilla didn't have them in Black/Black/40 (and I tried for a good while). I buy size 8 dress shoes in the US and they are alway a little loose (I am really a 7.5). the 40 fit tight - the first time I had a VERY hard time to slip into that heel cockpit, but once in and walking around for abut 2 hours the boot breaks in and molds around your foot perfectly. The length is true to size, width is narrow. Love the speed lacing since my left food is slightly smaller than my right one. Very comfortable after a very short time. My advice would be to err on a smaller size, squeeze in and let the boot break in for a perfect fit. Walks great, rides great and calf adjuster is very useful with my leathers tucked in. Price tag is high, but you most often (as the case here) get what you pay for. Have not validated (and don't intent to) the protective features, but enough people on the web have testified to its qualities for me to be convinced.... One little hickup was with the inner sole, which is glued in and extends up the sides of the inner boot a little bit. One of the side walls on the right boot was a bit loose and folded over when I slipped into the boot, creating a bad pressure point....a little fabric glue solved it. Overall I highly recommend this boot June 15, 2015
Great boots but a bit smaller than US sizing First I love these boots! Comfortable and the entry/exit is awesome with the rear zipper. I am a US 11 normally so wear a 45 in A*s and Sidi. Dainese's size chart says I should take a 44 for US 11. Needed a size 45 to make it work. After that these boots are amazing! June 6, 2015
Love these Look great, super comfortable and great protection. I'd get the perforated for best comfort 9 months out of the year April 27, 2015
Lace up system makes these boots stand out. They boots really look and feel that there is a lot of engineering time in the form, fit and function of these boots. I wanted a set of race boots with a lace system to help get a snug fit with the slight variance between my left and right foot size. Check out my unboxing video for some HD images and first try on of the boots with my leathers. I plan to use them for track days and the boots' precision should help with developing better cornering skills. The rear foot entry was surprizing easy and makes getting my foot out of the inside bootie easy. Will be good after a hard day of riding fun. The brace protection system is tight, feels good, and can probable save me from major ankle damage. February 2, 2015
Dainese Rocks! Bought these because of the rear zipper design. Wanted something less bulky in the calf area, especially on the inside area where I connect with the bike. These fit the bill perfectly. Very compact but still beefy enough to offer needed protection. I wear a 10.5 to 11 usually and have narrow feet (B to C width) and the 44's fit like they were custom made. The inside lace was a set it once and forget it for me. Feel very secure on the bike and not at all clunky like my A-Stars SMX boots with the inner side zipper and velcro flaps. Ventilation has been great and they are fine for moderate walking around when off the bike. January 28, 2015
Great form and function I wasn't sure on spending upwards of 400 on a pair of boots but i wanted all the features and style of these and haven't been disappointed. For the fit the length is sized like an Italian dress shoe, tight but not to much. the inner lace works well and velcro to keep the excess lace in place is a nice touch. all the details and functionality are spot on. On the pegs the sole feels secure and ankle movement is great. I don't plan on falling but when(if) it happens im glad i chose this boot. January 7, 2015
Excellent boots I tried a couple pairs of the Alpinestars Supertech R boots first because I REALLY wanted to love them, but they fit my foot pretty odd. I've always worn a 42 Euro in Astars, so I tried 42s on the Supertechs which were good width wise if not a little tight, but a touch long. I tried a 41 instead, and they were just way too tight everywhere. I also tried on a pair of TCX Ducati race boots around the $400 mark in the 42, and the length was perfect but the width was too wide! I was really frustrated since I was willing to pay up to $500 for a good pair of boots and couldn't find the right fitment. I tried these Dainese boots, and they were perfect! A little narrow, but generally comfortable. After the first ride I felt like they were totally broken in and felt great! They're light and breathe very well in the Air version. Probably my favorite feature/function however is how slim they are against the bike. Shifting is super easy with how thin the toe box is and when moving around the bike the boots don't snag or catch anywhere. I am definitely happy with these boots! September 23, 2014

Alex S: I love the design and functionality. I can wear inside or outside. A good range of adjustability and solid feel. The toe/shifter section is short enough to fit between the peg and shifter perfectly (my work boots are too fat!) Replaceable toe guard. But overall, these boots offer great comfort, slip-resistant soles, great looks and outstanding protection if you ever need it! Sep 15, 2014

George T: These absolutely saved me when I was hit by a driver on a freeway ramp a month ago- I got great performance from a very hard impact and slide. I saw no reason to select anything else after experiencing the protection firsthand- and the comfort and craftsmanship are exceptional. Jul 9, 2014
Mark B: It was either these or the Alpinestars Supertech Rs. Primarily I wanted the best protection available in a boot which also looked good. I also liked the idea of the inner booty as well as easy access as time getting into my Sidi Vortices could be measured in weeks rather than days. In truth these were second choice to the Alpinestars however my stipulation there was any color so long as it was black and red. These are now as common as honest used car salesmen and lawyers so fingers crossed.. Jul 3, 2014
Rudolph M: Cause all my gear is Dainese and not only do they make top notch gear they fit smaller riders better then other brands. Mar 8, 2014

Patrick C asked: I know that these are considered "Out" boots regarding how they are supposed to fit with full suits, but would they fit underneath Dainese New Drake Air Textile Pants or similar summer weather Dainese pants or are the tops simply too wide? Apr 21, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (1) No (0)
Rossen C: Yes, the fit under the New Drake Air Pants (though it's a somewhat tight fit), this is how I wear them around campus because otherwise I look too decked out.
They also fit under the Tomsk D-Dry Pants and to a lesser extent the Talos Pants (the shin armor on the Talos goes practically down to the ankle, so it ends up bulging out quite a lot - not a good look).
Excellent boot though, Dainese screams quality and the level of protection is second to none. They are also the easiest to get in-and-out-of pair of racing boots I've ever worn.

David E: I do not have the Dainese pants you mention but I wear these boots under a pair of jeans all the time with no trouble at all. My jeans are not the skinny straight leg type but more of what I would classify as a regular fit. Also just to mention, these are without a doubt the best riding boots I have ever owned. I wear them all the time and they are very comfortable and provide a high degree of safety. Apr 21, 2014

Shayan M: I don't have the Drake Airs, but I have worn these under some skinny jeans that I have when i wanted to go out quickly for a short ride. You can definitely see the profile of the shin protector, but it fit fine.

Looks like the Drakes have zippers at the bottom too, so you should be able to unzip a bit if needed.

Alex S: Hi Patrick! Great choice with these Dianese's! I got mine late last year. I have the A-Star A10 textile which is designed to be worn inside these boots and I also have an RS Taichi Leather "out" pants meant to be worn outside boots, much like regular jeans. These Torque Out boots fit perfect in both cases.Sizing is true. These boots have an adjustable calf but I never had to use them. They've always been set to their smallest size. I think I would have another inch or two before fitting my RS Taichi's become a problem.

Try them on first and If you have to adjust the calf thingys by an inch or two, then you may need to try them on with your riding pants just to be sure. Ordering from Revzilla is cool so if they don't fit, just return or exchange. Can't lose with these guys. Good luck!

Patrick C: Whatever boots I buy I will be wearing primarily under pants as I am unlikely to buy a full suit any time in the near future. If you are doing the same, what made you opt for the out version over the in version? Apr 21, 2014

ZHIYUAN Y asked: Which one would you choose? Dainese Torque RS or SIDI Vortice? Sep 14, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Vincent R: Dainese Torque should be a staple in your motorcycle gear. I researched, read customer reviews and watched product videos and ultimately decided to go with the Torque! I would recommend this product without hesitation. Hands down, Phenomenal boot! Sep 14, 2015

Laurens v: I tried both and found that the Dainese were a much more comfortable fit. I liked the styling of the SIDI's better, but comfort won out. Personally I love the Torque RS and would buy again. Sep 14, 2015

A shopper asked: I usually wear a 9 1/2 - 10 in any regular shoe

I wear a 42.5 in AlpineStars

I've always worn 42 in European shoes.

Should I go for a 42 or would you suggest a 43?

Bruce C: I wear a 9 1/2 C in a US shoe size. I own both Dianese Torque RS Out , and Dianese TR Course Out boots. In both cases a US 10 / European 43 fits me very well. They are snug, but comfortable. Great boots!

I hope this helps.

Alexander M: thanks man !

Have you tried on the 42 and it was too tight? Jul 16, 2015
Aaron J asked: Can anyone compare this to the A* Supertech R? I ride street and want a lower profile (toe) boot that I can wear under jeans. Protection and comfort are my top concerns. Jun 17, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
David E: I am not familiar with the Supertech, but I wear the Torque Air Out as you mentioned, under jeans and as a street boot riding my super sport. These boots are without a doubt the best pair of riding boots I have ever owned. They do have a low profile toe, and are very comfortable while shifting and braking. They provide great protection and a sense of confidence when riding. Lastly, even with all of the protection, especially in the shin area, the boots fit easily under a pair of regular jeans.
