thick, warm, fuzzy A well built and stylish glove that pretty much lives up to its product description. I have ridden in the low 50's and my hands stayed warm...I usually wear a size XL and fits pretty much true to size...maybe a tad smaller..which may be due to the padding/insulation in the glove. Overall I very much enjoy the glove. My only criticism is the thickness...feel for the controls is very muted and my hands seems to tire more easily than with thinner gloves....the price you pay for warm. April 8, 2013
Keeps your hands warm After trying out the Dainese Jerico to my disappointment due to it being way too thick and giving me horrible feedback from the grips. I decided to return it and get the Dainese Stelvio instead. The Stelvio, while still somewhat thick, still offers good feedback from the grip. It's very nicely insulated and keeps your hands pretty warm all the way down into the 30 degrees F. It even works great with heated grips and it fits me perfectly in a Large. All my gloves have been large and this is no different. The fitment is great and couldn't ask for more. February 5, 2013
excellent winter gloves Will keep your hands warm and dry, however if you are doing extended rides in low temps, consider heated gloves. These gloves fit true to size (I wear large, and large fit fine). I was surprised of the quality in these gloves, fit and finish is very good, especially for gloves made in vietnam. Padding and armor is better than most winter/rain gloves offer. December 19, 2012
Got them for my CBR 1000RR and I love them. These gotten gloves wick moisture away while keep my hands dry and warm. Wouldn't recommend them below 40 degrees. December 10, 2012
Good product (Evaluated at Highway speed 65mph) Good for 40-50 degree weather. 35-40 degrees and your fingers will be somewhat cold, but not uncomfortable. Not recommended below 35 degrees without heated grips or heated liners. The diagonal pull cuff closure a bit odd, but works. November 26, 2012

What is the insulating like on the palm? I am lucky and have heated grips, too much padding takes the effect of the grips away.

Answer:
The Dainese Stelvio-ST Gore-Tex Gloves offer a thermal padding that will keep your warm and will still offer a great feedback thanks to the thin gotatskin leather construction. The padding will not take the effect of the grips at all.

Answer:
If you're asking about the Dainese 4 Stroke Glove, they are not insulated at all. I would consider them to be a 3 season glove. The palm is two layers (outside leather and inside polyester lining).
The crook along the thumb has an add'l layer. The ball , nearer the fingers, has an add'l layer.
I have not used the gloves with my heated handle bar grips yet, but I think the heat will come right thru to the palm.

How warm is this compared to the Jerico or the Scout?

I'm actually torn between a few winter gloves, the Dainese Scout or Stelvio (i dislike the double gator on the jerico) and the Revit Alaska and the Held Warm n' Dry.

Answer:
The Stelvio and the Alaska will probably be the warmest of the three options. The Held is nice if you have heated grips with the thin palm!

Answer:
The Jerico would be warmer than the Scout gloves, by I thought the Jerico padding was to much. Like having a firm grip on the controls.
