Great Shoes!! I bought these with the intent of having a riding shoe that I could also wear casually and I love this shoes. They fit perfectly and are very comfortable to wear. I dont even feel them on my feet like some other shoes. Everyone compliments them and dont even notice its a riding shoe until I mention it. I highly recommend this shoes to anybody September 5, 2012

I got this shoes not for riding canyons/track I bought these shoes so I can use them for everyday city commute to work and freeway commutes. Very comfortable and highly recommend these normal looking sneaker looks. Did not buy these for canyon knee dragging rides because it doesn't have any ankle support and it wasn't designed for that type of usage. August 6, 2012
A good looking riding shoe The SSC Delta riding shoe is good looking and comfortable. It's sizing seems to be true fit. I normally wear a 43 shoe (size 10 US) and the Delta fit me perfectly. Like all Dainese products it is good looking, offers great protection (relative to other riding shoes...but not compared to boots) and is comfortable. It is more expensive than its competitors, but you get what you pay for... There aren't all that many unique or novel features. It is just a high quality, good looking and comfortable riding shoe. I'll recommend it to anyone. June 18, 2012

Answer: 
The Dainese SSC Delta Shoes will not cover your ankle / malleolus bones. We would not recommend these for riding. They will not provide any better protection than traditional sneakers.

SIZING INSTRUCTIONS

We highly recommend finding a cloth tape measure and taking the time to take these measurements. Dainese sizes will not necessarily correlate with fitment in other brands.

  • Chestwidth: Measure from under/top of armpit cross chest to under/top of other armpit, then across back to first armpit
  • Waist: Measure at the hourglass of your torso, (circumference measured at your belly button)
  • Hips: pelvic bone to pelvic bone, the widest part of your hips below the waist
  • Inseam: from crotch to big ankle bone
  • Outseam: from waist to big ankle bone
