Great style & comfort Disclaimer: This is the first riding shoe/boot I've ever bought, so I have nothing to compare to. I did try on some A☆s at a local shop, but I didn't really like the fit and the selection was pretty limited. After doing some research I decided to go with these. This is a great looking boot and it's very comfortable. The sole is very grippy and the boot has very good airflow. The biggest problem with this boot, as others have said, it's a bit difficult to put on. It doesn't have a tongue, so you can't really open the boot up. You have to squeeze your foot through the stretchy, but somewhat small opening. Easiest done with thin, slippery socks (i.e. dress socks). I suppose the bigger your foot is, the harder this part will be, so that may be something to consider. Having said that, once it's on, it feels great and seems like they will last quite a long time. Runs true to size. I'm not sure about the protection. The toe and heel are pretty firm and it seems like there's adequate ankle protection too. Would definitely recommend August 10, 2013
This product is lightweight and a good everyday shoe. These shoes are great on and off the bike. I got these shoes as a daily commuter and had comfort in mind. Even though there is limited protection it provides great support to the ankles and has padding in necessary areas. These boots are a little pricey and probably would not have gotten them if they were not on sale. Overall these boots is a great buy if you don't mind the price. July 31, 2013
True to form... I am very satisfied in purchasing these boots. The Dainese SSC Charlie Shoe arrived fitting true to form. They have a high ankle cuff that takes some time in getting used to with the foot entry but feel very comfortable and secure when laced up. I have been riding in these boots since the early spring and will use them throughout the summer riding season as I wanted a boot that I could wear on and off the bike. The Skywalk sole feels comfortable on the pegs and the boot construction allows for slick and responsive handling of the controls. They offer more comfort and provide more protection than a running or walking shoe. If you are wearing footwear like that when you are riding this summer then you should consider this lightweight Dainese boot. It's the affordable choice to make. June 27, 2013
Really comfortable if you want something that works off the bike. Looks like this model is getting discontinued, but for the reduced price, if it still comes in your size, I think it's well worth it. Construction seems to be fairly solid after a few months of use. Very comfortable, good airflow on hot days. No problem walking in these off the bike, they feel like sporty sneakers. I think Dainese makes some of the nicest looking gear, so I think the style is great. So far, I'm impressed with the durability of the shifting pad on the toe; it shows very little sign of wear. Cons: I think the days may be numbered on the thin fabric pull up loops, because there isn't a lot of give in the ankle opening. There is no "tongue" in these boots, only a fixed opening, so there is a possibility that this opening could get a bit stretched out after repeatedly pulling the boots on and off. June 20, 2013
Great Value I have had reconstructive surgery on both of my big toes so I am not able to wear just any shoe. I was very relieved when I was able to wear these all day without a problem! June 10, 2013
Great Air Flow, Size true to scale This is a great pair of boots in terms of style, airflow, and fit. The boot is a very snug fit boot hence you will need to give it a few goes before it wears in a bit and it becomes really comfy. I can wear these boots all day same as my old pair of Dainese Quito. The boots runs a little narrower towards to front of the boots, may not fit everyone or you may need to go one size up. Overall good boots, but the only downfall is that its really hard to put on because of the tube style entry. If your after a pair of boots for easy on and easy off, this is not it :). June 4, 2013
Love these booties They fit like a glove, very comfortable. Airflow is great, best booties for the summer. Not sure about the protection... You can walk with these all day and feel great on and off the bike. May 27, 2013
The definition of perfection Wow! What a stylish boot. I was impressed with the design, but blown away by the comfort. I can wear these boots all day without hesitation. Such amazing airflow. Great non-slip sole as well. Shame that they are becoming discontinued. I bought a second pair immediately. Grab them while they're still available. May 22, 2013

atrunk: These were not shinny. There were all a flat black suede. These are not water proof. Maybe that is why they are made from different materials that make them shinny. Jul 2, 2012
