Fits Dainese D1 EVO pred pants perfectly.
Awesome!
Snug (like a glove) fit inside Dainese D1 Pred EVO designated hip protector pockets.
Helps hold pants on the hips slightly better, keeping knee protection in place.
Wish there was a beefier (thicker) option, but as-is, these are still great.

Soft and Comfortable
I was worried that these would be in-your-face, kind of like a back protector. However, they move like silk in your hands. When they're installed (in my Dainese Yamato Evo pants) I can barely tell they're there. Good buy!

Inexpensive protection
I recently bought a pair of Dianese Bonneville and these will fit right into the pre-sawn hip pockets.

These pads are cut in such a way that you immediately know which pad goes on what side, making it pretty much foolproof. The pads are also very flexible so they are very comfortable to wear.

At this price, it makes little sense not getting them.

Undetectable
The protectors might as well be invisible. You can't see them at all, are well ventilated, and CE rated. You can't ask for much more than that. They are more expensive than REV'IT! hip protectors but are still a great value. I'll gladly pay $30 to protect my hips any day of the week.

CE rated hip protection
I bought these add extra protection to my Olympia pants. I really like that CE rated but I think they are quite small or Olympia pad pocket is huge these are my only pants with hip armor slots. I put stock foam pads in with these to keep the stable in the armor pocket. I am sure these must be meant for motorcycle jeans I just wish they made beefer and larger pads to fit riding pants.

Moderate protection
These pads seem to offer moderate hip protection. They are comfortable and I don't even notice that they are there. For casual riding they seem fine, but for more aggressive riding something more substantial may be preferred. I am using them in a pair of Dainese heavy cotton riding pants for casual riding.

Your only option if you bought that Dianese pants
I can't give this a "great bang for buck" because it covers so little area. When you compare how much the Rev'it hip pads cover, these looks like they should be elbow pads. This makes you wonder how much you pay for the "Dianese" badge premium.

If you already bought the pants, and want hip protection, just get these because you have no other option. OKAY. I lied, you can pay $20 for the Rev'It option, and then cut them to the Dianese shape.

Anyway, I bought them and they fit inside my Dianese riding Jeans. They are thin and don't get in the way of riding. So I guess it's quite comfortable since I don't notice them. No one cares about air flow in the hips anyway. So I gave it full marks there.

I havent crashed in these yet - but I marked it down some because of how little area it covers.

Fit well in Strokeville Jeans
These pads fit easily into the Strokeville jeans to provide a bit more side impact protection, although I have not fallen off the bike to try them out yet.

Discreet and comfortable
I have these for both of the Dainese jeans I have. I haven't crash tested them so it's hard to say how effective they are but I can say they're discreet and don't screw up the fit of the jeans.

Fits well in the pants I bought for these. They are fairly flexible. Comfortable. Impact protection is probably medium. Adds a lot for slide protection though.

Can someone please post the dimensions to this armor?
Oscar P on Jul 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Length is 6-3/8", widest width is 4", and thickness is slightly less than 1/4". They fit with lots of room to spare in my Klim Dakar pants.
Hey quick question,

How do I want to position the armor when wearing to ensure max protection?

Hexagonal pattern facing me or smooth side facing me?

Thanks in advance.
JoshB on Feb 3, 2014
BEST ANSWER: In case some else comes here looking for the answer, i emailed dainese and this is their answer "ProShape works in both ways. The jeans have it positioned with the hex facing the leg. However it could be used in both the positions. The trade-off is Comfort (hex facing out) vs Safety(hex facing in)"
Does Dainese have any Jeans that these fit in? The 2014 jeans only appear to have knee ce protection? Thanks in advance!
A shopper on Apr 27, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I looked at a few dainese jeans in person and none had hip protection pockets. I bought these hip protectors for Rev-It jeans. These were small for the pockets so I just quickly sewed the pockets a little smaller. I like these because they are low profile and aren't noticeable.
Same question as Oscar and Blake: what are the dimensions? Also, does anyone know if these will fit the hip pad pockets in the Rokker Original jeans?
Cedric B on Sep 9, 2014
BEST ANSWER: They are approximately 6.5 inches high, 4 inches wide at the top, and 3 inches wide towards the bottom. They are also about 1/4 inch thick.
Will these pads fit into the Dainese D1 EVO jeans?
Brian V on May 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes they will - you won't even know that they are there. Perfect fit
Will these hip protectors fit into/work with a pair of Dainese Montana 4D riding jeans?
Christian L on Feb 17, 2015
Could really use the dimensions in order to know if these will fit my JR Phoenix 3.0 pants. Can someone please share this information? Thanks in advance.
