We highly recommend finding a cloth tape measure and taking the time to take these measurements. Dainese sizes will not necessarily correlate with fitment in other brands.

  • Chest: Measure from under/top of armpit across chest to under/top of other armpit, then across back to first armpit
  • Waist: Measure at the hourglass of your torso, (circumference measured at your belly button)
  • Hips: pelvic bone to pelvic bone, the widest part of your hips below the waist
  • Inseam: from crotch to big ankle bone
  • Outseam: from waist to big ankle bone
  • Gloves: Using a flexible measuring tape, measure around your hand, behind the knuckles, not including the thumb.

This is a good option to use under the day pants but are slightly small according with the size chart This is a good option to use under the day pants but are slightly small according with the size chart August 12, 2013
Good quality but flawed Bottom Line: I am returning these knee guards, after trying them on in my house. I also bought the Knee V guard, and will be keeping those instead. Comments: I've been on a search for good quality, protective and comfortable knee/shin guards, mainly to wear under kevlar jeans. The fit and finish of the Knee Six guard is very high. The soft material is comfortable, however the elastic bands on the top and bottom bunched up and became irritating after just a few minutes of walking around in my house. They also did not stay in place as well as I'd expect. If you're on the fence between the Dainese Knee Six and Knee V, I'd go with the Knee V. They're more comfortable, more secure, possibly even more protective, and definitely cheaper. December 24, 2012
Comfortable, stay in place, fit under my riding pants, or jeans for that matter. Ok to walk in. I like these knee pads over armor in my riding pants because these will be where they are supposed to be in a crash. They are comfortable to wear and walk in. I can now travel with two pairs of riding pants, both with the knee armor removed, which allows them to pack much smaller, and I still have knee protection! August 19, 2012

A shopper asked: I see tehre being three sizes listed, but the Dainese sizing chart doesn't show the measurements for each. Any chance we could get a breakdown? I suspect I'm a large but want to be sure. Sep 5, 2013

Tim K: I am a size 38 waist with 31" inseam. Large was fine for me, plenty of stretch in these. They do get hot. I am not wearing them as much as I thought I would. But sizewise there is a lot of stretch up or down for me. Not sure how to gauge my knee size... :). Good luck! Sep 25, 2013

Jae K: I tried on the Large size and it was extremely tight. Like the previous posters comment, if you have very large thighs and calves it wont fit (I have 20" thighs and 16" calves). If they made it XL or XXL I would consider it.. Sep 25, 2013

Jon H: i haven't rode with them. but the size was larger than expected. i would order one size smaller than expected. also to ensure the lower part doesn't get in the way of your boot.

hope this helps.
