Good upgrade for knee protection These knee guards feel like a quality product ones you unbox them. The padding is comfy and the plastic mold feels like it contours the knee really well. I bought these knee guards with the plan of getting more protection with my D1 EVO JEANS. The guards actually fit into the knee pockets of the D1's but it does take some effort. I cut the tabs off the side for easier removal but I don't think I needed to. If you do what I did, you should buy the jeans a size bigger for the extra room. It works perfect for me and the knee guards stay right where they need to be. August 17, 2015
Best possible protection and stays right on the knee I bought the Dainene D1 EVO jeans with the larger pockets for the optional Jet J E1 knee armor. The knee armor adjust up and down with velcro over a wide range, but really, it's not necessary to use the velcro, because the armor's contours hold it on your knee when in the riding position. buy it They fit great without feeling bulky. They feel strong and I am confident they would protect me in a crash. June 22, 2015
Pads are way too small Purchased these at the recommendation of a Revzilla rep after purchasing another that was not the best. These don't' sit well in the pocket areas, constantly shift and are too small for the pocket. May 25, 2015
Recommend buying it It offers great protection. Very well built. Articulate so it is very comfortable standing or sitting or walking. In a standing position they shift down or drop a bit giving the look of a small bump, but in riding position they will shift back up Ina perfect position over the knee and upper shin. April 27, 2015

alejandra g asked: What exactly is the use for... My boyfriend likes to hit the mountains and is getting to the point where he is almost scraping knee. I wanted something that could help him out till he gets his full suit? What would you recommend? Jul 20, 2015

AJ S: If your boyfriend is riding his bike and hitting corners with lean angles to the point of almost scraping his knees in plain clothes without protective gear then he is clearly not even close to being one of the sharpest knives in the draw. Your money would be much better spent on purchasing a life insurance policy because a set of knee guards such as these or any others is a waist of time and money. Your boyfriend needs help in other areas of his life. Jul 20, 2015

We highly recommend finding a cloth tape measure and taking the time to take these measurements. Dainese sizes will not necessarily correlate with fitment in other brands.

  • Chest: Measure from under/top of armpit across chest to under/top of other armpit, then across back to first armpit
  • Waist: Measure at the hourglass of your torso, (circumference measured at your belly button)
  • Hips: pelvic bone to pelvic bone, the widest part of your hips below the waist
  • Inseam: from crotch to big ankle bone
  • Outseam: from waist to big ankle bone
  • Gloves: Using a flexible measuring tape, measure around your hand, behind the knuckles, not including the thumb.
