Dainese D1 Kevlar Armor Ready Jeans
Fit is not suitable for sport riders, especially with optional D1 protectors
I was looking for a pair of kevlar-enhanced jeans with knee protectors. Bought the D1 and the optional protectors (expensive). Out of the box, one of the buttons on the fly came apart upon first opening. That was not a confidence inspiring event with regard to overall quality.
The style of the jeans is pretty slick, but the cut is awkward. The leg goes from semi-loose on the thigh to pretty snug from the knee downward. Also the inseam/seat is pretty snug. The knee section was too tight to accommodate a rider in a more aggressive, sporty position. What's worse, once I was able to insert the optional D1 armor into the dedicated pocket (inside) and affix them via the sown-in velcro receivers, getting in and out of these jeans was nearly impossible due to the extremely tight knees. No chance getting your leg over the bike, no chance of getting your feet up high and back on the pegs.
I think this product is really only suitable as a stand-alone, adding the knee armor makes it unusable. Definitely much more suited if you're riding a standard or a chopper with a more relaxed seating position.
I returned the product and am on the look-out for a better fitted, higher quality pair of riding jeans.
I'm 6'2'', 186 lbs and usually wear jeans size 33-34.

I have never worn Kevlar jeans before so I didn't know what to expect but these jeans were so soft and felt like my favourite pair of broken in Levis.
They fit pretty true to size but I would recommend you buy a half size smaller since they are a relaxed fit. I like to wear them as high as I can around my waist so if I do have a get off they bridge the gap between the jacket and the top of the pants.
I have the knee armour and its probably just to low to be effective and it moves around since it is in a pocket in the jeans.
Style wise you wont find a better pair of Kevlar jeans, I love the dark denim, the Kevlar is woven into the thread so the stitching is kept to a minimum and the reflective logo on the cuff sets of the jeans nicely though I did lose it when I got the jeans hemmed.

Waist size problem
This pants look very good! Not a skinny pant, but more like a classic cut with little bit slim ( like Levi's 501.) Only thing they didn't mention in the video is that it is a high waist jean which gives you low waist look, so if u normally wear high waist jean, go for that size. If u normally wear low size, you may take away some length. Smells but not really bad. Kevlar is bullet prove vest material, and the pant goes with kit j armor so it really protects u well.

Great value, looks amazing
These jeans are great. Fits true to size and snug. If you're used to low rise jeans, the higher waist will take some adjusting. I can't wait until these break in some more.
Goes great with the knee pads, if you can catch them in stock. The knee pockets have tabs to secure the pads with Velcro. While walking around, the pads tend to run low, but it's the perfect spot when you get on the bike.
Overall great value.

Just what I wanted
Was looking for some riding jeans with option for knee protection to use on shorter rides around town. (need to buy knee guards separately). These are great. With extra panels they actually block a reasonable amount of wind and stay warm into 40's. Fairly slim fit which is perfect for me. Low pockets and cut give a little bit of the gangster/low rider look, but not too bad. Only one length, so you wear them cuffed with reflective material visible. Cuffs easily fit over boots.

Absolutely brilliant pair of riding jeans - with the J leg armor you can't ask for more. They fit nicely and once you've worn them for a day they get even more comfortable as they stretch to your shape.
On the fit - make sure you get the right size. These fit the same as most other jeans on the market in the waist. They're a relatively slim leg - they fit into the 'slim straight' category, but they're not skinny leg. As for sizing, get what is comfortably fitted. Once you get on your bike they're going to be a lot tighter since your leg is bent. They should feel a bit tight at this point but they will soon loosen up. At first I had trouble getting my foot down but now they fit like a glove.

The perfect pair of jeans for riding.
I wanted to put together some riding gear for when I just want to go for a coffee, (I usually wear a leather race suit when riding) and saw these before they came out, and it was worth the wait. Their comfortable and look like a regular pair of jeans and I have the added protection of the armor in the knee and shin. I've wore these riding for hours and also walked around and went to the movies, and their comfortable all day.
