I purchased the dark smoke shield for use on day rides. It's easily swappable with the clear stock shield in about 15 seconds, and provides great sun block on bright days. Definitely not for use at night -- I got caught without the clear shield a few weeks ago and had to ride with the shield up (not fun at 45 mph). Otherwise, a fine product.

I got the dark smoke, and it is a great shade. I wouldn't use it at night, but it is perfect for all other conditions. It is so nice to not have to wear sunglasses! Nice and clear, and no fogging like the stock clear.
Looks good too with the red/black rs-1!

Recieved the dark gold faceshield and do I love it. It looks good but functions well. A little darker than the dark smoke and it has that gold mirror look. If you got a bell star or rs1 do get you wont be disappointed.

Perfect for what i was looking for without seeing it in person, a dark visor that no one can see your face/eyes but still not too dark for night riding. Very easy to take the clear visor off and put this one on, literally took 10 seconds.

I want the cool mirror look but without any tinting?

Which color shield would best provide that? I bought the bell revolver and it has an internal sun visor and I ride a lot during night time and would just like a cool mirror look without any additional tinting(or VERY low)

Answer:
The Silver Iridium faceshields have the same levels of tint as their corresponding smoke shields. For example, the Light Silver Iridium has the same relative tint as does the Light Smoke, and likewise for the dark versions. Unfortunately, Bell does not offer a mirrored faceshield without any tint.Age: 25-34

Bell Transitions Photochromatic shields automatically adjusts to light conditions, darkening when exposed to sunlight and clearing in low light. It eliminates the need change between tinted and clear shields when riding in the light of day, the darkness of night and anything in between.
