If you think less is more and less is better then the Shorty is your helmet. Gristle tough and stout like a spare rib, it's one tough customer, just like you.
The versatile and stylish Shorty is the perfect lid for everything from a scoot across town to a cruise on the open road. And whether you’re blasting on V-twin power or zipping along on a twist-and-go, you’ll appreciate the removable earflaps and zipout neck roll when the weather gets cool.
First, I tried the Bell Pit Boss (medium). I did't like the adjustment piece pressing against my neck. Next, I tried the HJC IS Cruiser helmet (medium). It was tight and uncomfortable. Then, I tried the Bell Shorty (medium) with the flip up visor that clips on. It was not tight. The fit was good and the visor is better than most, but very slightly distorted. Revzilla was extraordinary in making the exchanges.

Great Half Helmet
This is a great backup to have for my full face helmet. Fits well, looks good, and gives me that open-air feeling on the hot summer days.

Great Looks, Good Composition, and Great Price
I used to wear Full Face Modular Helmets, and never thought that I would feel myself in this one. Originally, I bought it as a secondary/passenger helmet, until I had to use it myself. Initially, I liked the idea of the airflow system and like that nice spring breeze rushing on my face while cruising. It is getting warmer now, so the Shorty is taking its place as my prime helmet now. The weight is somehow average. Feels a bit heavier than its Bell Half helmets (Pitboss and Drifter). I has a nice neck roll fitted with headset pouches (where I have installed my SENA SMH10 in 10 minutes). I felt it is slightly larger than what I expected, but overall it is great. Unlike the pit-boss, it does not have the dial system at the base of the neck to lock it secure on your head without moving around or shifting up when the neck belt is not fastened (Which should always be fastened at all times).

Good helmet for a good price.
Another great Bell helmet, though it ran just slightly larger than our current same model Bell's. Note the noise level is slightly loud because it is a half helmet and that is to be expected. Otherwise the flat black is a perfect match to my wife's 883 Iron.

Better than expected
Bought this helmet for my wife to accomodate the intercom we have on our Goldwing. The speaker pockets in the ear curtain position the speakers perfectly, the chinstrap has the very valuable snap on the end to keep it secure and this helmet is lighter and more comfortable than the helmet it replaced. Liked it so much I bought one for myself and couldn't be happier.

A S:I was at my HD dealer today and they stock this helmet. The removable ear flap/neck gaiter on this helmet DOES have pockets in it for a helmet speaker/headset system. Thats one of the reasons I was considering buying it.May 13, 2014
