Best half helmet available This is the first half helmet I've seen that actually compares in quality to a good full face helmet. Excellent materials and fit and finish, definitely worth the extra money! The adjuster in the back is awesome, I can have the chin strap slightly loose at 60mph and the helmet won't flip back! Graphics are excellent, and the neck curtain kept me warm down to mid 40s in Daytona for Bike Week. When you first put it on, it will seem like the adjuster in the back is pushing the front down too low, but when you get out and ride its perfect! March 23, 2013
Best Helmet Yet This helmet is for my wife and it is the second Pit Boss I bought... immediately after I received the first checkered one for myself I ordered this Pink Flame one for her. She has a 3/4 with full face shield but greatly prefers this, it is very comfortable. This Pit Boss has a zip out padded ear and collar liner, a drop down half face shield, and the best feature of all is the hard hat style tension adjuster on the back of it. The helmet fits great as it is but that adjuster lets you really snug it down on you when you get going at highway speed to keep it from wanting to lift off, It is Great! It came with the dark tint smoke shield. Also ordered the clear shield for it too. Recommended! May 6, 2013

I want to know if this helmet is an oval or narrow shaped helmet. I do not want a bulky round helmet like a HJC or some Bells I've seen. If not can you recommend one?

Answer: 
The Pit Boss is somewhere in the middle. Not nearly as round as HJC, but not very narrow either. It does have Bell's fancy fitting system, which sounds gimmicky - but actually works pretty well. There's a little ratchet thingy on the back that you can fiddle with the get the best fit possible.

But, to answer your question, the closest thing to a narrow half helmet is the Nexx X60, but even then it isn't very narrow. Honestly, there isn't much in the way of half helmets for guys with narrow heads.

IMO, this Speed & Strength helmet is just the right shape areodynamicly. Also, the rear air scoop is very functual especially at higher speeds. The rear air scoop combined with the chin air dampener really do a great job at keeping the helmet from moving around at high speeds.

In order to use the SMH-10 on the Bell Pit Boss Titanium Flames Helmet you would need to purchase the Sena SPH10H Bluetooth Intercom For Half Helmets as the standard SMH-10 was designed for use with full faced helmets.
