YOU NEED ONE OF THESE!! Love this helmet!!! Fits well super comfortable. I like the look a lot!! The helmet is worth every penny. The only downfall is the matte finish as with all matte finishes it takes oil and sweat easily so needs wiped down before putting away. All in all its my new go to helmet! August 21, 2014
Perfect! Nice helmet, not to flashy and not too blah. Nice fit for my big head, and lightweight, for the most part I don't even feel it there. August 18, 2014
Great helmet I bought this helmet because I like to wear goggles and this is has the goggle strap at the back and I liked the style. It has delivered to expectation - it looks good, fits very well with the wheel at the back and is very comfortable. Had it up to 75mph and no lift at all!! My only criticisms are that it has quite a lot of wind noise at higher speeds which is caused by the leading strap (which is unavoidable with a helmet of this style) and that the surface is reasonably easily scratched - keep it in its provided bag when not wearing it! August 17, 2014
Slightly large but snug This helmet has a bit larger profile than I would have liked, but don't they all? It seemed to fit a bit large on my head, but after riding with it I've noticed even at a little large the wind isn't catching it and pushing it up around town. Once I hit highway speeds I tighten it down with the adjustment in the back and have never noticed an issue. It's a very comfortable helmet, that I think looks great even with it's larger profile. Little issue; one of the thin black stripes came partially off, just a small section, while wiping down my helmet. That is somewhat normal for graphics in my experience and I try to be careful when cleaning or toting my helmets around. Good helmet, especially for the price, I'm really enjoying it. July 25, 2014
Exactly what I was looking for. I needed a beanie for summer riding in the DC area since it's hot and humid around here. The Drifter is well made, well thought-out, and it has an effective adjustment device. I was a little skeptical of the "turn to tighten" thing on the back but now I think it should be on every helmet. It allows you to fine tune the fit of your helmet and it eliminates helmet rise at speed. I have to crank mine all the way down to make it really secure since my head is at the lower end of the medium size but if I wear a bandana under it and use the crank system the helmet doesn't move at all, regardless of speed (I tried to get it to lift... it doesn't). The removable ear flaps are nice on a high wind day or if you want something to hold your headphones in (a bandana works for that, too). While it does seem a little thick at first, the mushroom head effect isn't too bad for a helmet that will actually save your grape. In summary, this is a great helmet and I recommend it to anyone who wants a well-fitting, working half helmet. Oh, and the way the brim peaks out over the front acts as a little sun visor if you need it to. July 21, 2014
Good looking and comfy Bought it for my daughter, she loves it. The adjustable fit is great, she's still growing. It raised her cool status at school, kids come running up to chat with her when we're pulling up. She wears it with airfoil goggles. July 2, 2014
Great style, fit and comfort This helmet looks great! Slim styling so you don't look like you're from another planet. Very comfortable and the ability to customize the fit with the back adjustment really makes the helmet feel like its secure on your head without feeling too tight. It also prevents the wind from pushing it back when cruising without a windshield. I ordered it for my wife, and now I'm getting the same one for myself. Good value for the price too. I will use it when riding my Harley and my Ural. June 30, 2014
An amazing product!! The helmet is perfect! Very good quality, lightweight, the design is awesom! I would recommend this product! June 30, 2014

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Garrett C: Didn't keep this helmet, it looks cool but still gave mushroom head look. Gave to a friend with a bigger melon, works good for him. Jul 12, 2014
Ian M: I needed a half helmet for summer riding in the Washington, DC area. It's hot and humid here so an open-faced can get some nasty stank pretty quick. This helmet has good reviews (I checked other sites, too) and I asked around for thoughts. If you want a DOT helmet with minimal mushroom head and a high style factor, this appears to be a solid choice. I'll give more review points when I've had more time to wear it. Jun 30, 2014
Vincent S: Look and comfort Jun 25, 2014
SUBASH L: awesome looking helmet Jun 17, 2014
Nate R: They had what I was looking for in a helmet. It was easy to find. And a no hassle check out. Thanks Jun 17, 2014

Robert C: I wanted a half helmet for short rides and liked the adjustable knob in the back of the helmet. Haven't had one before and I'm looking forward to trying it out. Apr 22, 2014
Daniel J S: Looks bad a** and the price is hard to beat Apr 21, 2014
Jonathan H: Awesome Style. Moving away from the all black look. Apr 11, 2014
Steven T: I was sick of my full face helmet and this one looked pretty sweet with good reviews. Apr 3, 2014
Rory T: It has the military helmet inspired look without the giant Darth Vader-esque look of the German style helmets. I also like the quick adjust feature and the removable ear pads. Mar 20, 2014
Jorge M: To Cruise around town Mar 12, 2014
Omar B: because is more low profileâ?¦ and I like that! Feb 28, 2014

Brian C asked: Just wondering how the Mushroom Head Effect is on this helmet. It doesn't really matter (helmets are needed) but some are worse than others. How big does it make one's head look? Sorry if this has already been asked. Oct 8, 2014

Timothy G: The helmet has an awesome design, but, it does make your head look like a mushroom. The sizing is difficult too. I bought a SM/XSM and it doesn't fit my head properly. It's tight and leaves me with an aching head. Would love to exchange it but its been a year since I purchased it. I have only worn it to try it on. Oct 23, 2014

SUBASH L: Awesome value for money and great fit. Once again Bell have outdone themselves. It does make your head look bigger but people often tell me it looks similar to a German helmet. All in all I like it. Oct 20, 2014

LESTER O: It's literally like a military helmet...the padding inside is thick it kind of pops out. Oct 19, 2014

A shopper asked: How much adjustment does the Speed Dial allow for? Aug 14, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Narinder D: A really nice looming helmet, the lining on inside could of been padded a lot better as it feels stiff on head compared to other helmets. If your size is a medium then I would order 1 size bigger, I use a small size but this was way too small for me so I use it for my dough yer now and she loves it. The dial on the back gives you about 1.5 inches of flex. But other then not feeling cushioned in lining the helmet looks great. Aug 15, 2013

SUBASH L: It allows for tightening and loosening the helmet to the back of your head which makes it feel much more snug and secure. With other helmets the strap alone is not sufficient, especially at higher speeds and in windy conditions. The Speed Dial works well. More helmets should have it. Well done Bell! Aug 15, 2013

John P: i think it allows for a lot. The way it is designed a little adjustment on the dial goes a long way. I love this helmet. Very Comfortable and way more stable than any other open face helmet i've tried. The dial allows it to not lift up or push back on your head at high speeds. Aug 15, 2013

Yi-Hsing C: You can cinch the dial down so that its tight enough that it doesn't move around on your head. I've got the size small, and cinching down the speed dial makes the helmet tight enough that it doesn't move around on my head, swinging my head around wont move the helmet. Aug 15, 2013
