The Bell Custom 500 features an open face design, fiberglass chassis and a mix of quality finishing touches. The Custom 500 Helmet uses modern protective technology to bring the design up-to-date but manages to keep the original flavor. A new EPS foam layer allows Bell engineers to craft a helmet that is at once light weight, narrow in profile, and DOT-compliant. Custom paint-inspired graphics, chrome trim work and a quilted liner round out the lid.

Awesome style and features If not for its slightly small size to the actual measurement, which may create pressure points where you did not expect them, the helmet would deserve an AWESOME RATING. I recommend to order a screen that offers a decent protection, it's a must have. you can't beat the style and it's also very light April 8, 2013
not for me First some background, I currently ride in a as schuberth C3 XL and it fits perfect. I must have a slightly more round head because I don't get that pressure point in my forehead that other complain about in the C3. But I wanted a open face for nice days. This helmet just flat does not fit. Got an XL first and I could get my head in but it sat too high. Exchanged for a 2xl and I could barely get my into the shell and when I did it fit OK just tight along the bottom but sat on my head like its supposed to although my head looks huge in it. I thought I was going to have to get it surgically removed though because that ridgid lower edge tried ripping my ears off. No give at all and the metal d ring end was not long enough to clear the lower edge when taking it on or off so it dug into my temple going on and caught my ear coming off. Looks and quality wise, not bad but pray your head is oval enough to fit in. March 22, 2013
I love this helmet!! I was worried about ordering a helmet online but revzilla was so goo about showing you how to measure your head accurately through the videos. This helmet was one that caught my eye because I love the look, the minimalist designs with maximum protect in a 3/4 face helmet. It's the perfect balance. It keeps my head and ears warm but the good thing is I can still hear the exauhst note. Very light weight and comfortable too! November 12, 2012

Looking into buying the Custom 500 helmet, but would like to know what sunglasses it will accept. Looking into some kind of Oakley sunglasses, preferably of the thicker variety (i.e. Gascan or Batwolf). Thanks!

Answer: 
I would not be able to confirm whether a certain model of sunglasses would fit, as it would depend on your overall headshape, just as much as the internal fitment of the helmet.

However, what I can say is that our customers have had success with fitting a large variety of sunglasses types when wearing the Bell Custom 500.

The Custom 500 has a very Round Oval interior fitment (http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle-...). That being said, it provides a great deal of room on the sides of the head to accommodate sunglasses.

I personally have been able to wear the Custom 500 with Ray Ban Wayfarers, Ray Ban Aviators, and Oakley Frogskins with ease. Keep in mind that I have an Intermediate Oval headshape that tends to run on the Slightly Narrow Oval side. Therefore, I have adequate room on the sides of my head which can accept several different types of sunglasses.
