Designed specifically for the aesthetics and needs of street fighter and naked bike rider in mind, the new Arai Defiant Character is equally aggressive and feature rich, as one would expect from a new Arai helmet. Based on the fit and comfort of the Quantum, the Defiant was built for the upright riding position with its aggressive, integrated chin spoiler, which was designed specifically to guide wind around the neck and to improve the aerodynamic properties of the helmet. The Hyper Ridge Bumper circles the bottom of the shell both adding additional strength and also lowering the helmet's center of gravity, while flaring the helmet opening slightly to increase the ease of putting on, and taking off.
The Arai Defiant utilizes Arai's latest faceshield design, the SAI Max Vision Pinlock Shield with Brow Vents and includes Pinlock insert lens. The SAI Max Vision shield has been widened by 5mm left and right and offers one of the widest eyeports available for excellent peripheral vision.

Worthy of the Arai name
This helmet is mostly what I expected. It can be used for cruising, which is how I ride - in a fairly upright position on a Night Rod - When I am not navigating the canyon roads. The air flows great through and around the helmet, and I don't feel like I have to fight to keep my head up or down at speed. I am not sure how well the venting system works, had it for about a month - as I ride to work and the speeds don't get very high. I don't feel like I am sweating in it like other helmets, so the venting system may work better than I thought. Love the pinlock visor system. Good peripheral vision. Very easy to see in most conditions. Doesn't fog in the morning with the 3 stage front vent. The helmet sits very light on my head and is hard to notice as I move my head back and forth, which I like. When the visor is down, it is very quiet - another plus. I am not sure how useful the extended skirt is. Cold is cold in the morning, and it really doesn't help from keeping the cold air out. I use it mostly to keep the noise out. Good product! Worthy of the Arai name, but pretty pricey!!!

Arai did it again
They did it again this helmet is great not loud at all inside while you're riding around and I suggest you purchase the visor with the sunscreen built into it again great product by arai couldn't be a better helmet out there. I've been running with the right helmets for 10 years now and this one is comfortable inside and the airflow is great!.

I've had an HJC, a Bell RS, and this helmet is the best one I've worn. Great airflow, super quiet, and very light and comfortable. I got the dark visor with it, and it looks absolutely amazing. Head turns from all over!

High quality lite helmet
Bar none my favorite helmet. Compared to my other Shoei helmets this Arai looks good, is quiet at speed, air-flow is good, very lite and the overall fit and finish is superb. You really get what you pay for with this helmet. The only gripe that I have is when the chin vent is open all the way small insects have a pretty unobstructed direct path to your chin and face. Arai should have put some sort of filter or mesh in the chin vent.

Great looking helmet!
Nice helmet but I wish that it were quieter. Nice features, great air flow, and outstanding visibility.

A shopper asked:I know Arai makes different helmets for different bikes but I'm still confused on how your head shape is affected by which helmet is the best fit. I have a oval shaped head and have worn an Arai Corsair helmet for 15 years. It puts pressure on my forehead but if I pull it down enough the pain goes away, but I suspect I not only have the wrong helmet type now (I have a Duc Monster instead of my CBR) so I need the best helmet to fit my new bike and head shape. What do you recommend?Aug 30, 2014
sherif E:Hi the definant is just what u need it fits great breathable nd comfortable , concerning the pressure from the corsair u should try to change the inner liner with a thinner one which is available at Revzilla most probably ull have the same problem with the defiant as it serves the same head size as the corsair if u ever find a problem with arai helmet fits try adjusting ur liner nd cheek pads thickness drive safe keep it on 2 wheels hope I've helped also would like to inform u that the defiant is a master pice for a street bike.
