These premium crash bars, drawn from 1 inch stainless steel tubing, protect your engine casing and plastics from the wrath of the pavement. The AltRider crash bars are designed for the impact load to be transferred to the frame, not the hardware (watch the video to see how this works). Great Crash Bars
The installation was very easy and the bars look great when done. All the parts and connections went exactly as the directions specified. I have a Suzuki DL650 so i selected the black version of the bars. Today I tested the bars by dropping the bike on a gravel road; everything worked out well, I picked up the bike and kept going. I would recommend these crash bars.

Great Crashbar. Perfect fit.
I bought this a little over a month ago along with the matching Altrider skidplate for my 2012 Suzuki Vstrom 650. I replaced the "Adventure" crashbar that came with the bike. This Altrider crashbar fit perfectly and mates with the frame mounts for a very secure, strong fit. The two halves went together easily at the center. Installation took all of 15 minutes and instructions were good. Altrider skidplate mated perfectly. Stainless steel construction means no rust even when I do scratch the black powdercoat finish which was also perfectly done. No complaints of regrets. Buy it. You'll love it.

Great Fit and Finish
These crash bars are high quality and the fit was spot on. Hope I don't have to use them.

Expensive, but worth the money
This is a high-end product. The design appears to be very solid and functional and the fit and finish are excellent. The install was quick and easy -- a straight bolt-up with no twisting, cutting, or modifications. The bars do not vibrate while riding as it is reported some competing products do. Would purchase again.

Great Protection and Easy Installation
After looking at various crash bars I finally made the decision to purchase the AltRider bars. They installed very easy, and fit perfectly. The quality of these bars are second to none. When I looked at them on other V-Stroms it appeared they didn't go high enough up the bike for the best protection.
After an accidental drop (on pavement) I picked the biked up and not a single scratch to the tank or side panel. These things worked great. They likely paid for themselves with just that one mishap.
I highly recommend these bars. When considering the quality, the strength, and great design, I think they are a good value for the money.

looks good, hope I don't give them a full test
These crash bars fit perfectly and look good on the bike. I haven't given them the real test of course but they look like they will protect the radiator and plastics in a mild drop.
These are a peace of mind investment more than anything else, but when you add up the price of all the parts that can easily be damaged in even a low-speed drop they can pay for themselves in a single incident. Of course the real value comes if they allow you to get home when an unprotected bike would've needed a trailer.
