Alpinestars Tech 1-R Suit
This is a quality suit and looks awsome in black and white
Out of the box, it fit really snug for my 5'11" - 208 lb frame, but after I wore it for about an hour around the house it fits perfectly now. I wear my knox back and chest protector(s) underneath the suit comfortably. At the price i got this suit you can't beat it (absolute bang for the buck). It flows a good amount of air, style is second to none, it is very comfortable, easy to move around on the motorcycle, and as far as the protection and durability, there is a good amount of technology in the protection, and for durability i haven't crashed in it nor have I had it very long so I can't really give a true rating hence the average rating shown. But just from looking at the suit, I couldn't imagine anything not lasting or holding up in a fall. If something didn't hold up "not related to a crash", Alpinestars would fix it for free anyways (you just pay for shipping to them). So if you're thinking of getting this suit, just pull the trigger. You won't be disappointed. I wasn't.

Easy to get a good fit
I am a former Linebacker in build, 6'2 and 240 with a long torso and relatively shorter inseam. Was wearing a Vanson size 54 (about Euro 64) but it was a little short in the torso and had a lot of room in the middle.
Tried some other brands of suits but found the Tech 1R to be an excellent fit. There are several stretch panels which help make it safely snug without being restrictive.
Recently used it for two track days and found it comfortable from the start with almost no break-in. Using it with the AS back protector and the snap for it is very convenient.
Armor is substantial and the suit seems very well thought out. I wish there were more perforated sections but it wasn't too warm so I can't say that's a problem.

Great suit if you can get it in your size
Bang for the Buck - Looks like Alpinestars has discontinued this suit so expect to see them going on clearance everywhere. I picked up this suit through another vender for under $1000 but they are getting limited in sizes and colors offered. If you can find this suit in the size you need then don't pass it up at these prices.
Style - Just look at it. This suit looks great in any color.
Comfort - I gave this 4 stars but only because comfort is a concern. It has a pretty extreme shape to it, so it is not going to be as comfortable as some other suits, but if you are considering buying this suit then comfort off the bike should not be your main concern. I can barely stand up straight with this suit but I can sit on the bike all day long. It feels great when riding. I still haven't broken it in yet, but even after just one track day it felt better. I am 5'8 180 pounds with a little bit of a beer belly. I wear a 42. The length of the sleeves and pant legs are perfect. The pads hit exactly where they should. It is tight along the chest and stomach, but like I said, it still isn't broken in. It should loosen up a little more. I struggle getting it on and off without help but I think this will get better as it gets broken in.
Protection and Durability - I have not crashed in this suit or had it long enough to comment on the durability. I got the white/black model, and I can tell you this is going to be a pain to keep clean. If you care about keeping the white looking white, then either consider a different color or be willing to take a lot of time to clean it. But i'm sure you would have this problem with any brand white suit.
Airflow - Airflow is great. There is so much perforation in this suit. I have not worn it in very hot weather yet, but I have a track day coming up in southern California. This will be the true test of how it flows air.
Features - Just watch the revzilla review about all the features this suit has. I promise you, you will not find a comparable suit at the same price.

Very comfortable suit. Should offer excellent protection.
I purchased the Tech 1R after visiting the Philadelphia store and trying on a variety of suits from several brands. All the brands were similar but the cut of Alpinestars just seemed to fit my body proportions best. I'm 5'9", 160 lbs with a slim build. I wore a full-body under suit when trying on the one piece leathers. Euro size 48 was very hard to get on and off and left no room for a back protector - assuming I would need to breathe. Size 52 was comfortable but may have bagged out when broken in. The size 50 that I purchased was snug with the Spidi Back Warrior EVO Back Protector. The suit fits very well now that I've worn it for half dozen sessions. I still have to bend over and suck in to get the zipper up but the fit while on the bike is excellent. The perforation in the suit provides nice air flow at high speed but doesn't seem to make much difference below about 60mph. The cuffs are a little abrasive on my wrists unless I make sure the under suit sleeves stick out a bit beyond the cuffs. Bottom line: Revzilla personnel are excellent in helping find the perfect suit. The Tech 1R offers a great fit for my body type and safety features that should provide excellent crash protection. Wear an under suit.

Can't Go Wrong Here!
Let me caveat this review with saying I haven't taken this particular suit out yet but I have (unsuccessfully) purchased two others and tried on many more than that before landing on this bad boy. I even drove up to Philly and got some great assistance from the Revzilla staff trying to get this right this time around! I started off with the two piece JR, went to a one piece Dianese Stripes suit and this one simply puts both of them to shame. I liked the versatility of the JR and the look of the Dianese but when it comes to all around form and function (plus this suit in a 44 just fits me perfectly whereas the JR was too tight and the Dianese was too so I ordered one size up but then it was too loose, so it was returned, I am 6', 195lbs), at this price the AStar is hard to beat and has features found on much more expensive suits. The outer and inner protection is top notch, zippers work perfectly, leather is quality and well perforated, and the inside mesh is well done and removable which will come in handy I'm sure. Plus it even has pockets. The only drawbacks are the same you get with any track suit, break in period is not a comfortable time ;). Otherwise, just get a good back protector and you are set to only worry about getting around the track without having to actually "use" the suit!

Love the suit
I did three track days last year and bought this suit as my first suit after borrowing a friend's last year. The staff in the showroom were extremely helpful when I stopped by to try the suit on to make sure that it fit. With the stretch panels in the back and knees, it feels like a custom suit. I hope to never have to use it in a crash, but if I do, I definitely feel like I'll be well-protected.

Great Suit !
This suit is the last one from the line-up before the Race Replica which is way more expensive. Considering its quality, comfort and protection, it is definitely worth the money.
As usual service provided by REVZILLA is professional and perfect.
I Recommend this item.
