Alpinestars Stella SP-8 Gloves
Overall, these gloves are great. There are many features that I like including the look, protection, and air flow. I absolutely love the way they look! They look sporty, but aren't in your face in the black color option. I love the way the knuckle guards look. The black/white/red pattern was too flashy for my liking, so I returned those. The protection is great for the price. I have yet to test out the overall protection capabilities of these gloves, and hope I will never need to. But knowing that my hands and wrists are protected gives me comfort. The air flow is fabulous, my hands are still warm when riding in 40 F weather, but aren't sweaty thanks to the air flow. My hands get cold easily, so this is saying a lot!
Now onto the fitment. This is the one aspect of the glove that isn't great. I ordered an XS because my hands, when measured, fall into the XS range. I know these are leather gloves, so they take some time to break in. When I first put them on and close my fists, the gloves feel great. After my first ride with them, it was about 15 minutes, both of my pinky fingers and ring fingers were in pain. The gloves are too short for my fairly normal sized pinkies which are both 2 1/4 inch long. The seams at the finger ends dig between my finger nail and nail bed even though my nails are cut short. My nails are cut short so that they don't extend over the nail bed. From reading previous reviews about the gloves I stuffed an AA battery into the pinky slot because that was exceptionally tight. This helped loosen up the fitment! Only time will tell if my hands will adjust to these gloves. In addition to the shortened ring and pinky fingers on these gloves, the gauntlet portion is too long for my personal liking. The part the fits over my wrist is a bit too bulky. I have extremely small wrists. The diameter of my wrists measures a little less than 6 inches. My small wrists may be the reason why the gauntlet seems bulky, but when I put on my REV'IT Xena jacket with these gloves, it is so bulky and feels ridiculous. The fit around my palm and knuckles are perfect! These are my first pair of gauntlet gloves, so maybe I need more time with them to figure out the fitment with my jacket.
After carefully examining the seams around the finger tips, I am a bit worried that the seams will come undone on the pinky, but only time will tell.
Overall, I think these gloves are wonderful. These are after all leather gloves and will stretch out with more time and wear. They look and feel fabulous and I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Pliable, good tactile feedback, but leaves a mess on my hands and the fingers are too short
They broke in quickly. Have really good feedback for a leather glove. I have long fingers and narrow hands. They fit my narrow hands well, but the fingers are too short. I don't mind it because the knuckle guards keep it from riding up and smashing my fingers, but if I had long nails it would hurt. It also makes it difficult to clutch and brake, not a problem for me because I have an electric bike (no clutch), and a short hand break, but it is difficult to ride my husband's Ducati. I think there is too much extra fabric at the gauntlet, makes it difficult to tuck it all in when I'm closing the gauntlets. But I have really small wrists. I wear the cuffs under my jacket and they fit well there considering they are gauntlets. It would be nice if there was a smaller adjustment strap to fine tune the wrist fit.
Also for some reason, even after a couple of of months in the heat, they still stain my hands black. I don't sweat very much in my hands, but it holds in ALL the moisture. Not good ventilation, but they are leather. In exchange, though, they are very protective. No sliders, but I'd choose that over losing any more feel from the bike.
I recommend it for my situation, but I will sacrifice for safety more than necessary. Be mindful of the short fingers, and the wrist fit. It's also not a good choice unless you are really looking for a study, protective glove and willing to sacrifice air flow and some feel for it. I like them, but will probably look for another kind next time. And they stain your hands. Basically right on the border of ok if you are doing anything less than dirt or track.

Not As Good As Expected
I've had these gloves for three days and only used them for three rides. The rubber coating on the knuckles is peeling off for some reason and the gloves are turning my hands black (mainly on the finger tips and back of the hands). I don't know if I just got a defective pair, but as of right now I would not recommend these. I expected better quality for the price.
(Accidentally posted this as a comment to someone's review. Sorry about that).

These gloves were exactly what I needed. They fit perfect and broke in fast. Feel like the will stand up to impact and use pretty well while still keeping some flexibility.

Best Gauntlet glove for the price.
I spend a lot of time weighing my options on purchasing a gauntlet glove that would be street friendly and that would transition to the track. This glove is by far the best glove in it's price range and the best bang for your buck. Safety-wise, it has almost everything except palm sliders, and for a glove that under $100, that's unheard of. I have an Alpinestars jacket and was extremely happy with the quality and the gloves did not disappoint me either. They fit right over my jacket sleeves seamlessly. The quality is up to par with $200 gloves. I really enjoy the styling and the carbon fiber knuckles for extra protection. The size is spot on. After 3-4 short rides, they were worn in and comfortable. I was worried at first because I went from a short mesh gloves and I could not feel the hand controls as well. This went away quickly. The only negative thing I can say about this glove is that they are not as warm as I expected them to be. I don't really consider it a complete negative considering how comfortable they are to ride in and that I will probably wear them year round now that I am used to them.

Great Glove for the Track
The glove itself is comfy and stylish. It didn't take long to break the gloves in to where the "stiff" feeling was no longer relevant. Slightly tighter than I thought but after a couple hours, I didn't notice. Comfy, great price, and a great deal for those looking to get into the track.

Good looking gloves and comfortable protection
These gloves fit according to the size chart and offer great protection on a budget. I like that the cuff comes up far for added wrist protection. They are a little tight but they are leather and will fit perfectly with more wear. They also look as good as the pictures.
