They fit a little loose around the top but otherwise are great. good airflow for hot days and they are stylish enough to wear with a pair of jeans. Stick with revzillas recommendation for sizing!

i recently took this boot on a 420 mile ride through VA as well as it being my primary foot ware for about a week while i was out of town, they are awesome! nice and comfy on the bike and fantastically comfortable off the bike, and most of the time people don't even realize i'm wearing them. plus they make me feel like a bada$$ ;) 4/5 on comfort just because they had a little break in time it felt at first like the boots were lifting my pinky toe, but that's gone now that they are nice and broken in

Very nice looking shoe. I ordered the white/black. The features are simple with a zipper / velcro strap. Need to break in boot though to get the velcro strap tight around the ankle. Please note this a great shoe but nothing can save your ankle like a full boot. Aside from the full ankle support you foot will be protected due to the strong material. All in all i enjoy this product. You honestly wear these all day and be good!!

Rode these boots for almost 2000 miles. Very comfortable off and on the bike. The sliders are a little much for me. I have size 42 for a perfect fit . Normally wear a 8 1/2 shoe. I am well satisfied.

I tried these since many of the women's boots available do not come in my size.(43). These are both comfortable on and off the bike and functional with good protection and they look good. They are slightly large but I wear liner socks and boot sock to take up the room. Girls don't be afraid to try these they rock!

Was dubious about ordering riding shoes on-line due to sizing concerns, but the size 44s I ordered are a perfect fit for my US size 10.5. Solid construction & a major upgrade to my previous shoes. This boot is stylish and comfortable. There is not very much ankle protection, but the heels are very sturdy and the soles flex just enough. The airflow is amazing. After hours of riding, my feet are still completely dry in 80ish degree weather.
The size runs large. I usually wear a 9 or 9.5 and a size 9 is slightly large on me.
The pucks on the sides are a little difficult to remove at first, but once you realize how to do it, it's easy.
I haven't had them for long enough to comment on durability.

I bought the 46 (11.5) even though i usually where a 12-12.5 depending of the type of shoe. They fit snug in the wide area of the foot at first but broke in nicely. and are a little loose at the top of the boot. i'd say go with the 48 (12.5) and if they are just way too tight and you don't think they'd break in enough for your foot send em back for the 49 (13.5) and run a little loose. Just don't wear them outside or on the bike and leave the tags on. Walk around the house a bit to get a feel for them. like they say they do the first exchange/return for free. Hope this helps

Width should not be a problem, my foot is kinda wide and mine fit fine. The general rule for sizing is to find your size on the Euro/American transition chart and get a size smaller, I did it and mine fit perfectly. I strongly recommend these boots, comfortable and lots of great features. They look really cool too (not important for most but looking dorky ain't cool!)

No for the shins and no for the ankle, just the TPU piece on the outer ankle. only real "Hard" protection is the heel cup, toe slider and the stiff sole of the boot.

Mesh up the front to the top where the velcro secure strap is. There is a hard ankle protector and removable/replaceable toe slide. There is also hard heel protection on the rear of the boot. Great boots, I wish I had bought them a long time ago!

The SMX-1 and SMX-2 are pretty short and there might not enough material above the ankle to really tuck in leathers or pants. We'd suggest a higher boot for race leathers.

About the same hight as a regular hiking boot, leathers probably won't stay tucked, but they would be good as an every day rider. I wear running socks with them for more padding when I know I'm going to have them for long periods of time.

I have both pairs and the smx2 is definately taller and better for tucking your leathers into. Would advise you order a size under your regular size as they fit big and wide.
