I went from Dirt Bikes to a BMW F800GSA, this is a great boot. So far no issues BUT I have only used these boots in the Las Vegas winter months. Hopefully they will not turn into a oven during the HOT summer time.

Good Not Great!
I like this boots. They're comfortable, but just a bit narrow for my tatse though it does not affect the comfort.
The velcro is not great. It tends to come loose on my right side here and there as I walk.
Waterproof wise they good, not great. A bit of water snuck in even while having raining gear on and driving at only +/- 50mph.
With proper sucks, they do keep the cold out. Even without winter socks you'd be good if you're only driving around town. But if you're on the highway then put some darn warm socks on.
The grip is not great on my brake if it's wet or in slippery surfaces like tiles. If your boots are wet, watch your step on tiles...TRUST ME!
The 4 stars goes mostly for comfort than anything else...

Pleased with these boots
This is my first pair of Alpinestar riding boots and I am quite pleased with them. The Velcro lashes do a good job of securing the boot snugly and comfortably. Hopefully the Velcro won't wear out before the boots do.
My only complaint would be that the soles seem more slippery than on my previous boots. Perhaps that will improve as I wear them longer and the soles roughen up more. I also wish the soles had deeper profiles.

They fit my wide feet. After break in, they feel even better.
I'm a size 13 E, which is wide, and I ordered the 14's on a whim and they actually fit quite well. They were a little tight and stiff at first but after breaking in, they fit great. Build quality, they are pretty good, worth the price so far. Hopefully they last!

Dale R:I am not familiar with the MX-2 boots so I don't know how they compare. I purchased these boots for my 50+ mile commute everyday on my Goldwing and have been very satisfied with them. The seem to offer decent ankle protection (not to the level of my MX boots - Gaerne SG12 but good for street boots), are warm, and comfortable enough to wear all day at work. I don't typically ride in the rain so I can't comment on waterproofing. However, I definitely recommend them. Note: follow Revzilla's sizing guide. I wear a 10.5 shoe but these are listed as 9.5 and fit perfectly.Feb 25, 2015
Ricardo B:I don't know the MX2s but I have this A´Stars and they don´t seem to have a rigid protection in the ankle nor in the front end. Nevertheless the leather in the front is quite rigid and the ankle area is well cushioned in the inside and have what seems to be a double layer of leather on the outside. At least it feels thick enough to give a good protection. If very high protection is a most, you should look for a pair of boots with a steel plate both in the front and in the back (I don't know if that kind of bike boots exist)Feb 22, 2015
A shopper asked:Love how this boot looks, but wondering about how tall the toe portion is, from bottom of sole to top of toe? My bike has a small height from foot rests to gear shift lever. Does the toe portion become more flexible after time? Would love to purchase these, but I need some help! Thanks!Oct 2, 2014
