Pair with them up with the jacket of the same namesake, and the Alpinestars Long Range 2 Pants will get you through the worst of what mother nature has to throw at you.

  • Abrasion resistant textured fabric at knee and lower inner leg
  • Reinforced stretch comfort fabric on seat and back of knees
  • Removable Drystar® liner and removable vertical quilted thermal liner
  • Both detachable liners connect at both top and bottom via spiral zippers to maintain a flat construction for comfortable entry and exit
  • Detachable bib with Alpinestars braces featuring flat buckles for safety and comfort
  • Waist adjustment via textile/elastic draw belt with snap adjustment and hook waist closure
  • CE approved knee Smart protectors
  • Removable comfort foam padding in hips
  • Side air ports on hips and thigh with hidden mesh panel and snap closures

Very good pants The good: Very comfortable, looks awesome, knee protections don't hurt you even in long trips, airflow seems to work well. The question mark: I'm not quite sure the knee protectors would hold a strong smash on the ground... It feels like it won't. And I seriously hope I won't be the first one to try it. But I don't feel as safe as some other knee protections I've used in the past... The bad: It's not really bad, but it can be a little inconvenient for somebody eventually. All my other bike pants were XL. Since I live in Brazil, and it wouldn't be very easy or cheap to change sizes in case it wouldn't fit, I was very lucky to decide to take the risk of buying a larger size. It's slightly tide... If it was a XL I'd have serious problems hitting the gym every day for 2 hours to lose a few pounds... September 17, 2012
