Perfect City Boots
You want style and protection for that ride to the restaurant or cinema? You've got to get yourself a pair of these!
These boots are sturdier than they look and needless to say they are modern and stylish. They're not your average Converse, they're padded and come with stiff heel and toe reinforcement. The sole has enough flex for walking comfortably but still supportive on the pegs. Perfect for city riding in my opinion.
I go with euro sizing for AStar boots because I find their US size correlation inconsistent between different models. For example, a euro42 is sometimes a US8.5, sometimes US8. Check the sizing chart carefully. I usually wear Euro 42 and the Joey in 42 fits me well.

Joey is alright!
It's rare to find a "sneaker" with good arch support. I was afraid being waterproof my feet would get hot - they did not.
On the bike, they have enough stiffness on the pegs. If you ride a dual sport, practice up-shifts a bit so you don't bust the top of your foot or toe.

Loving the shoe.
Firstly, its very comfortable cause the cushion is quite thick inside. The sole of the shoe feels thick n safe n u can still be able to flex around with it. I havent try weather its really waterproof, but from the looks at the tongue theres no way water can enter. Cause theres another stitching to it. Love the way it looks as its not like other riding boots. But dont wear with a thick socks can get abit warm inside..

Great Look and Comfort... Weak on Protection
The sneaker has great detail and style. Very comfortable out of the box and to wear all day. I can't do a review on the waterproof aspect of the shoe yet. And even though I haven't tested them in a crash situation, I honestly would have to say the shoe won't do much in terms of protection or abrasion resistance.
I think astars is on the right track with this shoe. Maybe do the same style but in a gore-tex leather. I doubt that would compromise the comfort but it would help for abrasion. More protection at the ankle would be good too.
Would I recommend the shoe? For general use, yes. For a casual ride, maybe. If you want piece of mind protection, no. To each his own though. Each rider makes their own decision on what level of protection to wear.
I'm still keeping the shoes because I like the style and comfort but they are my last choice for a ride.
I was hoping the shoe would be better than the dainese technical sneaker but they are pretty much the same. I do like the dainese quick lace system better. With this system the laces can't come untied by accident.
One more thing, the description above says the shoes come with a second set of high viz laces, but my order never came with the second pair of laces. Not sure if the description is right or wrong.

How black is the shoe or is it really grey?

In the video it looks very dark so that the logo is not very noticeble. .but in the image the shoe looks grey and there is a clear difference in color between the logo and shoe.
