Alpine GPX Gloves
I have always used A*'s gear, mainly short cuff, blended material gloves. I switched to the GPX for the all-leather construction and extra protection provided by wrist guard and fourth and fifth finger bridge. This is an excellent glove for three season riding as it provides adequate ventilation on hot days. I was worried that the extra wrist guard would eliminate the short cuff feel, but there is enough room to still wear a large wrist watch. I decided to switch to all leather because the old summer gloves that I was wearing had a synthetic suede that frayed and became extremely worn after one year. I highly recommend this glove; just be aware that the fit is slightly smaller since it is all leather construction. I wear a large in all A*'s gloves, so I ordered a large in the GPX--it took about 30 riding hours before the glove was broken in and it now fits perfectly. The glove does have exceptional grip almost to the point to where the throttle position remains the same during front brake application. I have to remove my hand completely from throttle while breaking to avoid engine revolutions during breaking. Recommended product.

AWESOME GLOVES
The folks over at Alpinestars have done it again! I had Alpinestars gear when I rode 10 years ago. Now as a returning rider I tried another brand of gloves and the quality wasn't the same.

These GPX are awesome! Fit true to size. Im a L in an "American cut glove" so Im an XL for Alpinestars. They're tight at first but they're leather so they will break in. The articulation and flexibility is great with the 3rd/4th finger bridge in the right place. Just for fun I typed some of this review with my gloves ON (2 finger typer) Not all of the stitching is uniform and for a glove north of 100 I would have liked to see it more uniform but its not a game changer as the glove is well made. The Red, White and Blue look awesome, and NO dye has rubbed off on my hands. Im hoping these are still around when my first pair are done because I would buy them again!

PROS:
-All leather construction with the reinforcements in the critical impact areas=great protection
-Precurved finges with the 3rd/4th finger bridge
-Added length for additional wrist protection (longer than a short glove but not a gauntlet)
-Perforations for air flow
-articulation and flexibility are great

CONS:
-Not all of the stitching is uniform
-You're not getting them for under 100 unless you have some team zilla cash

Amazing glove
This glove is the perfect combination of protection and technical feedback. The top of the hand and knuckle are beefy and feel very protective while the palm of the hand feels (and is) soft enough to feel the controls but thick enough to protect in a lay down. I absolutely love this glove. If I only had one negative thing to say about this glove it would be that it doesn't come in Kawasaki green. Aside from that it's yet another top notch and high end product from Alpinestars.

Great street gloves
Gloves are great for the street. Perfect length to pair with sport style leather jackets. Just wish there was a seamless fingertip design. That seam sometimes digs in between your fingernail tips.

These gloves are exactly what I was looking for. They provide a great balance between GP gloves and the next model down. Great support, plenty of protection without being to stiff. Would recommend to anyone.

Super comfortable, super protective
Love these gloves. They are super comfortable. The goat skin on the palm and control areas is super soft. Protection-wise, these gloves are great. I feel very confident in their ability to hold up in a crash. I especially like the TPU material on the knuckles. Personally, I think the gloves are gorgeous - very aesthetically pleasing. One thing I will say is that they are certainly closer to warm weather gloves than cold weather gloves. I was hoping for 3 season gloves but these allow a little too much air flow for particularly chilly days. Additionally, because of the leather, consider that these should not be worn in the rain - something I did not consider at the time of purchase. Overall, for what they are, these gloves are great, and I strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a great looking, comfortable, protective glove.

Airflow + protection + Alpinestars = amazing gloves
Great in the Las Vegas heat!!!
Size ordered XXL (i'm between XL-XXL american sizing)

Already this year, Las Vegas NV has hit 100deg F. a few times. During those times I rode my bike to test out the comfort of these gloves in the scorching sun. To my surprise they flowed extremely well and kept my hands comfortable and cool.
I could feel the air pass through the knuckle vents and perforation. Airflow worked best at 40mph +. Below 40mph, I couldn't feel the airflow.

Pros:
-airflow, airflow and more airflow.
-tons of features/tech (not to high of price)
-comfort and more comfort, even with the tech and extra padding(hard and soft)
-does not turn your hands black during break in/riding
-quality build, stitching and materials
-boxed finger stitching, so you don't feel internal stitching
-ulna bone protection, also protects your watch(if wearing on e)

Cons:
-not made in Italy, designed in Italy, made in Vietnam.

Exactly What I Was Looking For
This is the first time I think I've given 5/5 for any product. Nothing more can be said about A* quality that hasn't been said - this is a case of getting what you pay for. This glove will last many seasons and on many motorcycles. I was looking for a glove with race-level features and protection but without the bulk; something for the street that breathes, moves, is comfortable, and will protect me from a tractor trailer dragging me down the freeway. This is the glove I wanted all along. Race gloves should be considered the utmost in protection, but they're a bit overkill for the street, while most street gloves are little more than leather motocross gloves with knuckle protection, which is to say, gardening gloves with knuckles. You have to compromise - you want comfort or protection? This glove maximizes that compromise well with as much protection as I feel is needed for aggressive canyon/mountain and frightening traffic riding, with a slight bent towards more protection. Most hands used to street gloves will probably find these slightly bulky and limiting, but those used to race gloves will feel like your naked hands are protected by leather-clad guardian angels.

I could have been a hand model for most glove maker's Large size - which is Alpinestars' XL size. These, however ran a shade larger than usual, and the L, while larger than most of their L's, was still too small. So if you have meaty mitts, you might fit these better than usual without having to go up a size and put up with reservoir tip fingers. I'm still wearing the XLs with no problems, I guess I'm just used to gloves fitting like gloves haha

Best glove available at this price point.
I bought a pair of these two years ago when they were a new model and just replaced them with the same glove. I think that is the best endorsement I can give them. I ride a lot and wore the GPXs pretty much full time for commuting, touring, and weekend adventures with no issues. The palms of my older pair started to deteriorate from general wear and tear and getting wet more than a few times in South FL where I live. They could flow more air, but I'll take more protection in a get off over ventilation every time. Money well spent for a detailed high protection glove that is comfortable to wear. I have worn a medium glove from other manufacturers but in the Alpinestars I wear a large so you may want to go up a size.

This is an excellent product , so my problem was when I bought, I have choosen the large size and this was so tight and that never can use again. I need a X-Large Size to me to put it on or put it off easy and quickly.
The water and the rain could be a big problem, because this keep wet inside and could be bother.

I'm about to get these, but I want to get the sizing right. I was able to wear the celer gloves in my local shop and was a XXL, should I stick with XXL or go down a size? I ask b/c the reviews on the celer gloves say they run small.
A shopper on May 6, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I really like the gloves, they are excellent for 55 degrees and up. They do run small, I typically wear XL in Alpinestars gloves and these in XL were initially a little tight. After a few long rides the leather stretched and are much more comfortable now. The added protection on the wrist area is a nice touch for a short glove.
Does the GPX model have the touch tech feature for cell phone use?
A shopper on Jun 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No they do not work for cell phones. .
Can't decide between this and the sp-x. Mainly commute to and from school, so how big of a difference is the air flow between the two?
Thomas O on Dec 20, 2013
BEST ANSWER: I don't know anything about the sp-x.. But I can tell you that the gpx flows great air n has good protection where it's needed. . The air flow so good that my hands hardly sweat at all..
How is the fit on these gloves? im 6 feet tall and weigh 160 lbs,my hand measurement was 3 5/8", but i have heard that these gloves fit rather small and I should order one size up, is this true?

Thanks
A shopper on Feb 21, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I am 5'7" and weight 185. I have average hands. Not small or big just average in my opinion. I owned two leather alpine gloves and after the break in period the medium was perfect for me. So when I order the gpx I stuck with medium. My hand measures 3 1/2". If you have fat fingers or long ones maybe a large would be better. If you have a motorcycle store around your city, they usually carry some alpine gloves and you can go and try different sizes before ordering. I recommen the gpx awesome gloves and very comfortable.
Is this glove street or dirt?
A shopper on Nov 19, 2013
BEST ANSWER: This is a street glove. If I were you I would get this one for the most protection you can get without buying a full gauntlet.
Is this glove good in spring and fall riding in canada? where the temperatures touch the near o°C/32°f at the beginning and ending of the riding season?
A shopper on Aug 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I use these gloves in late spring and all summer into the middle of the fall.I live in New York and I commute most everyday from Queens to Manhattan 30 miles round trip. The GPX's flow alot of airand keep my hands comfortable. They still sweat, but not as much as with gauntlets.I personally would wear them down to a temperature in the high 40's-low 50 degree F range.BTW I bought two pairs ,black/white and red/white/blue.They look good and match all my riding gear!
I was only able to try on the celer gloves at my local shop and was an XXL, the reviews for that glove say it runs really small. Would I still be an XXL in the gpx or since my hand measures right at about 4" should I go for the XL?
Mitchell F on May 6, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Ive never tried the celer, at my local shop I tried on an A stars glove but it was more of a gauntlet style. The large fit a little snug so when i purchased the GPX I ordered a large knowing that overtime the leather would loosen up a bit. Ive had the gloves for about 3 months now, and im happy with them, they fit just fine now that they are broken in, and they get good airflow. Hope this helps, ride safe.
Is this glove best fit under or over your jacket? I have an aspide jacket which is pretty tight around the wrist.
Ayitirider on Mar 23, 2014
BEST ANSWER: it fits under your jacket. i tried fitting it outside, its short, after you move around maybe half of it will go back in leaving the other half stuck outside. quite uncomfortable that way.
and the only closure velcro doesnt "feel" as safe around the outside.
i just leave the padding part(with logo) outside of the jacket. it feels perfect that way. very comfortable! and tons of airflow during summer.
if your jacket is very tight around the wrist, the only thing is you'll have to tuck in the velcro when you put it on(only takes 1 finger and about 2 seconds to do so), not like the full gloves you can just slap it on and go.
i know this has been answered a few times, but not sure im getting this correct..
I measured my right hand as per the Alpinestars measurement guide..it measurs roughly 3.5", making me a medium...am, i to go up a size to large as suggested, as this chart is incorrect, or should I go with the actual size..not clear what is correct?

BEST ANSWER: Buy one size larger than those you buy in american brands as Icon. When buying one size larger, the with is OK and the fingers are very long (in fact, compared to other Alpinestars gloves, these have longer fingers).
Is there a difference between the GPX and Celer in terms of build quality, comfort or protection?
I'm really hesitating between the GPX and Celer gloves, the only difference I see is a few bucks.
