This is my first pair of riding shoes besides my boots. The fit is just right, I wear a 10.5 in regular shoes and ordered these in 10.5. It offers fair amount of protection for commute riding. The sole is a lot thinner than I thought, you can feel a lot through the it but offers good traction. I wear it at work all day and it doesn't bother me at all.

For a bit more, you can do better. I wore them 3 times, around 60 miles each, and it looks like the top of each shoe is cracking. My work boots offer MUCH better protection than these (Oakley Tactical 6) and they are not even motorcycle boots. Looks cool and the Velcro keeps the laces tucked away, at the same time chewing UP the laces and the footing is secure unless your parking spot is in grass. Find something else...I'm not even sure these are leather...more like Pleather.

1. Fitting? It fits perfect like regular Nike shoes. 2. Comfort? It's really comfortable, it's like laying in bed. 3. Style? Very stylish! But not noticeable. It blends right in with basketball shoes. 4. Features? Everything is perfect except for the shoe lace but other than that shoe is like perfect! Specially the rubber insole that grips good in the pedals or in the road. 5. Protection? It protects your Ankle, Achilles, heel, and some of your toe. 6. Airflow? Has Good airflow. Not to much and not to less. Just enough to breath and keeps your feet warm in cold air. 7. Cost? Expensive but worth it. 8. Overall? I love it! I get complement from other riders specially my wife. She loves the style and the features!
My complaint? Shoe lace Is to long and not enough protection on the toes. But overall a great shoe for a great cost!

The A* fastlane riding shoe removes the excuse not to wear a riding boot over the looks/comfort of a regular shoe, with jeans. These boots look like any other shoe when wearing jeans and can be worn without anyone noticing. Great pricing, fits like a normal shoe. Use them every time I ride now. Only complaint is the lacing up and velcro strap as it would be nice to have a velcro and zipper instead. I did have to buy some longer socks that sit over my ankle as the the boot seemed to rub on my ankle at the top. Longest period wearing them is about 8 hrs consecutive and had no complaint or discomfort. Highly recommend as these boots are priced similar to your normal tennis shoes.

I live in Mexico city and I wanted to order the fastlanes so today I went to a local shop to check my alpinestar size but they didnt have the fastlane so I tried a couple other models.
I tried a 43 on the high end race boots and it was a little bit on the tight side and then I tried the 44 on a mid level race boot and it was a little big.
I want to order thru revzilla but I dont know what size to order.

how would you say the size 14 fits, a little snug or a little loose? I have the SMX-4(size 50) Boots and they are listed in Euro sizes first(ie: 50eu is a 14US). I would say the sizing of these two boots are fairly consistent. If you wear a 14 in the SMX-4, you should take a 14 in the Fastlane. When I look at the size chart, I see that it is consistent with our other Alpinestars boots sizing chart and here they state the size 50 = 14.
