Its not worth it.
Iv used this jacket for 6 months now in all weather conditions. First time it got wet the monster graphic peeled off the back, the chest one fell of soon after. It has faded to a light grey and looks like its years old. The zip seperates behind itself. I don't think its ment to be water proof, but rain goes straight through as if it were made of cotton. Its a piece of crud with a fancy logo on it.

awesome jacket
Pretty awesome wind proofing, blocks majority of air on cold days. Wild layers underneath the thermal lining on inside will keep you toasty. Elbow pads are slightly off for me but no complaints on that from me. Awesome jacket looks. Amazing piece of gear for cooler days. I'm 6ft 187lbd XL fits perfect.

Great fleece!
I love the quality and look of this fleece! I have yet to test it on ether of my bikes. I don't think it would offer to much in the way of protection.

amazing texture and overall fit.
Although I usually wear "large", the arms needed an inch or so extra length to be perfect. I don't know if it is worth getting the XL instead.
But overall: I loved it.

Great Jacket, little on the expensive side
I have loved my Cloak Fleece jacket. I'm a huge Monster fan, so I got these to match my m-10 monster gloves. It is an excellent year round jacket; great to layer with in the fall and winter, breathable enough to wear during the summer. As other reviewers have stated, it DOES NOT provide much, if any, protection, save a few foam pads on the shoulders and elbows. It has fit me great, I'm 5 9 and 160, and I find the sleeves the perfect length, circumference around the waist and chest is perfect as well. It has worn well, no fraying, tears, or scuffs. It has 3 pockets, one on the chest, and two waist pockets; perfect for a wallet or cellphone. The biggest con, in my opinion, is the pricey nature of this jacket, without getting much functionality or protection. Other than that, I absolutely love it.

I would recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a great, stylish jacket, who doesn't mind spending a little extra.

Not the best deal out there
I bought M standing 5'9, 165LBS normal active build. The jack is baggy in the torso and let wind in from different angles. However, the front and neck wind protection is perfect for its weight and look. The jack also looks stylish being a riding jacket and provides practical features. If you tuck the bottom back tip into the inner side it looks perfectly fine.

However, at its price point, the jacket's construction is a bit disappointing, the logo feels cheaply painted if look closely. The armor socket feels very weak when putting upgrade bio armor in (I also reviewed the armor). The stock foam pad don't provide any assurance or confidence at all. I bought the jacket originally with intention of upgrading the pad - so be aware.

I wouldn't believe in its abrasion resistance since I fell at 10 mile turning on rocky road before in similarly built jacket, those material wouldn't last in sliding. I don't believe a* used any special thing on the surface either.

The neck collar conflicts with my Shoei RF 1200 helmet but will go away after a while.

Overall its a good shell jacket and provides OK protection with upgraded armor. I would say its biggest attractiveness is for someone who wants to have a "look normal" armor set.

This is a WOMEN'S jacket!!!!!!
I'm really like this jacket, but no where is it ever mentioned that this is a woman's jacket, meaning the zipper is on the left, not on the right as with the majority of men's clothing. Also, since I was drawn to the zipper... for a $200 hoodie, I would expect a higher quality zipper, like a YKK or similar. This jacket is excellent wind and cold protection... I just wish that SOMEONE SOMEWHERE had mentioned it was a woman's jacket.

Awesome Jacket
I want the jacket to be tight fitting, not baggy, so I went with a Large. I wish the sleeves would be longer, but that what I get for having a +4 ape index.

I absolutely love this jacket. I wear it everywhere. I can wear it when I'm just hanging out with friends as a normal jacket. It keeps me warm down to -5 degrees Celsius (Canada). I gotta say though, the jacket wouldn't be that good on a crash. It has armor on the shoulder and elbow but anything past 50km/hr crash, I'm sure the jacket wouldn't survive. But for what it is, it's an amazing jacket.

I needed a light jacket that looked different from traditional motorcycle jackets. Oh! And it looks cool.

I would like to find out whether this jacket is waterproof as I reside in a country where it rains quite often?
Cheers from Malaysia
A shopper on Jan 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Water resistant yes but water proof no. The monster logo on the back has fully come off mine, not sure if it was because of rain or my Kreiger R20 back pack rubbing on it. Probebly a combo of both. Not much protection. It didn't tear when I tested it with an off road crash. Realy, all it does is look good.
More interested on the helmet there guy modeling the jacket is wearing. Does anyone what helmet it is?
dwight d on Aug 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I *think* it's an Arai XC Helmet

http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/arai-xc-helmet
will this work for an everyday riding jacket
A shopper on Aug 31, 2012
BEST ANSWER: I sure hope so! The CE rated protectors seem to be pretty good indeed. Back protector is not just any cheap stuff, it's not CE rated but it's not that bad either.
Finally, the mesh won't protect you at all, but the high chance of impact areas are covered with a Cordura-like fabric plus the CE rated protectors.

This is my do-it-all commuting jacket, definitely recommended for that! I would recommend something beefier for touring and higher speeds though.
Hi there, I was just wondering whether or not this jacket has any abrasion resistance at all? looking to get one but still want to have skin layers if i fall off, cheers
Anthony M on Sep 7, 2013
BEST ANSWER: It is pretty heavy duty, with pads in the elbows and shoulders. It's like a cross between a textile jacket and a sweatshirt. One thing... its really warm. If the sun is shining and it's above 70, you'll be hot. I couldn't wear mine all summer, but its about to be perfect for fall.
What riding temps is this jacket best for?
A shopper on Feb 22, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I found that riding in 40-70 degree temp was pretty comfortable if not the best condition. In the 40's you probably want to layer up a bit, but still enjoyable. I wore it in the 20's and 30's, it was cold to say the least, and up to 100 degree temp in Texas. It gets hot.
hi there could someone please tell me whats the fabric composition of this jacket? cheers
A S on Jan 11, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hi there,

The outer shell is 72% polyester and 28% polyurethane, inside is just fleece,.

Happy riding!

Anthony
I was wondering if you have this jacket without all the Monster logo's on it? Just the Alpinestars logo's instead? thanks.
Daniel M on Oct 22, 2013
BEST ANSWER: If you watch the review video they say its a reboot of the old North Shore jacket, here's the link for it http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/alpinestars-northshore-tech-fleece-jacket
